Supposed to be a very important pilgrimage centre for the Hindus. But the spirituality is spoilt by the local guides who persuade and emotionally blackmail you to make donations. The place has a rich history and is worth the visit. But just close your ears and walk straight to the lake and then to the temple. You definitely don't need a guide. They will say it is free of cost and then slowly start nagging you to perform some rituals and make donations.

This is the holy place for Hindus and considered as only temple of creator “Brahma”. The wall of outer section of temple has names of many people who contributed toward the temple. Temple atmosphere is bit louder as devotees offer their prayers. Photography is strictly prohibited in temple premises. Due to high rush there are good arrangements of security as well. The outer street of temple are good to walk around as it connects the nearby ghats. The cleanliness is not up to mark.

Experience is good over there. But there are many THUGS in form of local guides, please take care from them. Ghat is not so clean just cause of people not feel responsible there for cleanliness and just throwing there garbage here and there or in lake. All over experience is good.

The only Brahma Temple in the world. The story behind the temple and why it's the only one is truly captivating. However beware of the priests around, they will try and persuade you to donate money on various grounds. Donate only if you feel like it, not under false pretenses.

Excellent temple and wonderful experience visiting here today! The street leading to the temple and the temple itself were very clean, much cleaner than our expectation. Not too crowded so we could stand in front of the deity for 5 min. We left our car in the hotel as we were not sure of parking but there are paid parkings available around a kilometer before the temple.

The temple, which is set on a high plinth, is approached through a number of marble steps leading to an entrance gate archway decorated with pillared canopies. The entry from the gate leads to a pillared outdoor hall (Mandapa) and then the sanctum sanctorum (Garbhagriha). The temple is built with stone slabs and blocks joined together with molten lead. The red shikara (spire) of the temple and symbol of a hamsa (a swan or goose) - the mount of Brahma – are distinct features of the temple. The shikara is about 70 feet (21 m) in height. The hamsa motif decorates the main entry gate. The marble floor (in black and white checks) and walls inside the temple have been inlaid with hundreds of silver coins by devotees (with their names inscribed), as a mark of their offering to Brahma. There is a silver turtle in the mandap that is displayed on the floor of the temple facing the Garbhagriha, which is also built in marble. The marble flooring has been replaced from time to time.[2][10][11][12] Brahma's central icon (murti) is made of marble and was deified in the garbhagriha 718 AD by Adi Shankara. The icon depicts Brahma, seated in a crossed leg position in the aspect of creation of the universe (the Vishvakarma form). The central image is called the chaumurti ("four-faced idol"). It is of life size with four hands and four faces, each oriented in a cardinal direction. The four arms hold the akshamala (rosary), the pustaka (book), the kurka (kusha grass) and the kamandalu (water pot). Brahma is riding on his mount, the hamsa. The four symbols held by Brahma in his arms (the rosary, Kamandalu, book and the sacrificial implement kusha grass) represent time, the causal waters from which the universe emerged, knowledge, and the system of sacrifices to be adopted for sustenance of various life-forms in the universe. Gayatri's image sits along with Brahma's in centre to his left. Sarasvati sits to the right of Brahma, along with other deities of the Hindu pantheon. Images of the peacock, Sarasvati's mount, also decorate the temple walls. Images of the preserver-god Vishnu, life-sized dvarapalas (gate-keepers) and a gilded Garuda (eagle-man, mount of Vishnu) are also seen in the temple.

Brahma Ji Temple is the main and historic temple dedicated to Lord Brahma the Creator of the Universe. This is the only temple in the world which is dedicated to Lord Brahma. People from all over the world visits here for worship. The temple is situated in the centre of the Pushkar city and not so far from other tourist places.

I visited Brahma Temple in October, and the experience was absolutely divine. The serene ambiance, intricate architecture, and spiritual energy make it a must-visit destination. The temple staff was welcoming, and the priest's guidance added a profound touch to the visit. The well-maintained premises and the soothing rituals create an atmosphere of tranquility. Whether you're a spiritual seeker or an architecture enthusiast, Brahma Temple offers a soulful journey. There is a good market area along with variety of food stalls, which can be explored for satisfying one's taste buds. Clothes, bags, hand-loom items for adults and kids are available.

Specially of this temple is, this is the only temple of God Bramha on this planet. Very peaceful place. The one thing I would like to suggest, the trust not providing the locker or stand for bags and shoes, You have to fix this problem with local shops with helping them with buying some Prasad or flowers.... Speciality of the temple was doner list is still available from British Empire period on the tiles with mentioning name & specific year. Need to some maintenance of walls.... Try to visit early morning for facing less crowd.

The temple is one of very few existing temples dedicated to the Hindu creator God Brahma. The temple sanctum sanctorum holds the image of four-headed Brahma and his consort Gayatri. The temple is open for worship between 6:30 am and 8:30 pm during winter and 6:00 am and 9:00 pm during summer, with an interval in the afternoon between 1:30 pm and 3:00 pm when the temple is closed. Temple complex is really good with lots of shops, after taking blessings u can take souvenir for your loved ones..

This place is known to be the only Brahma temple in the entire country. The day I visited the temple, it was aesthetically decorated with beautiful flowers. Just outside the temple there is huge market filled with beautiful rajasthani things. There are places to eat just outside the temple as well. You can also visit 12 ghat and Savitri Mata temple which is close to the temple.

Pushkar has become a place of Hindu pilgrimage because of this holy lake. Legend has it that this lake was consecrated to Lord Brahma, the creator of the universe when a lotus dropped from his hand into the vale and a lake emerged in that place.

This Brahma Temple is one of the few temples in the world dedicated to Lord Brahma (the creator of the universe). The temple has a unique architecture with a central shikhara (tower) rising above the sanctum sanctorum, surrounded by a pillared mandapa (hall) and a raised platform. The temple is accessed through a decorated entrance gate and has a holy lake called the Pushkar Lake adjacent to it, which is also considered sacred by Hindus. * Temple may close for a brief period in the afternoon between 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM for cleaning or other religious rituals. * Photography is not allowed inside the temple so visitors and devotees are requested not to take photos and videos.

Whenever you google for Jagatpita Brahma Temple, Pushkar it's showing Raj.royals handicraft. I'm giving this review not on handicraft. The structure dates to the 14th century. The temple is described to have been built by sage Vishwamitra after Brahma's yagna (ritual). It is also believed that Brahma himself chose the location for his temple. The 8th century Hindu philosopher Adi Shankara renovated this temple, while the current medieval structure dates to Maharaja Jawat Raj of Ratlam, who made additions and repairs, though the original temple design is retained. Pushkar is often described in the scriptures as the only Brahma temple in the world, owing to the curse of Savitri(Saraswati), and as the "King of the sacred places of the Hindus". Although now the Pushkar temple does not remain the only Brahma temple, it is still one of very few existing temples dedicated to Brahma in India and the most prominent one dedicated to Brahma. International Business Times has identified Pushkar Lake and the Brahma temple as one

Temple is good and kept maintained It is said that this is the only temple of Creator bhramha. Nearby the shops and resturants give typical ambiance and taste of authentic rajasthani food. Overall I liked the place. Place provides paid/free shoe stand, locker service by shopkeepers. Its better not to drive here as the place is quite crowded and the vehicle stand does not have enought place to park vehicles.

Jagatpita Brahma Mandir in Pushkar town of Rajasthan is one of the very few temples of Hindu-creator God Brahma in India. People say this is the only temple of Brahmaji in the world is not true. The temple was constructed in the fourteenth century. Pushkar Lake and the Brahma temple are considered (as per International Business Times) one of the ten most religious places in the world and one of the five sacred pilgrimage places for the Hindus, in India. The temple is constructed at much higher plinth and the pilgrims have to climb so many marble steps to reach to the main entrance. There is no slope or wheelchair chair access or elevators for elderly or disabled people. The temple is built with stone slabs and blocks. The architecture and the carvings of the temple are very simple and not impressive like Somnath Temple or other beautiful temples in South India. The temple looks like any other ordinary temple. Brahmaji’s murti is made of marble and seated in a crossed leg position in the aspect of creation of universe. The central image is four-faced idol. Brahmaji is riding on his mount “Hamsa”. Gayatriji sits on his left and Saraswatiji to the right of Brahmaji. The married men are not allowed to enter into Garbhagruh or the sanctum sanctorum. Only the Sanyasi can perform the puja of the deity. There is police security at the entrance due to the importance of this temple. The guide is not necessary for the temple. However, we hired a guide for the Pushkar Lake. It is easy to navigate into the town and narrow market place from Pushkar Lake to Brahma temple. There are lots of variety shops on both the sides of the road leading to temple which sell very nice artifacts at reasonable price.

Holy religious calm peaceful place! The Jagatpita Brahma Mandir or the Brahma Temple located in Pushkar, Rajasthan and is the most famous Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Brahma who is considered the creator of the universe. Being the only temple dedicated to Brahma in India, it attracts lakhs of pilgrims every year. Pushkar itself is famous for its religious importance and for the International Holi festival organised every year! Pro tip: Go early morning to have peaceful darshan and then head on for breakfast to the most famous Rabri lassi, Malpua and Kachori samosa (with kadi) near GauGhat. Have your healthy lunch at the Shalom's cafe with some falafel.

Otherwise many foreigners visit here. This place can attract more devotees/ tourists if government takes some action for cleanliness.

Visited the Brahma Temple in Pushkar, the only one in the world dedicated to Lord Brahma. The temple exuded a unique vibe, and the ambiance was serene. Unfortunately, authorities didn't permit photography or videos, hindering my plan to share the darshan with my mom via a video call. Regular announcements reinforced this policy. On the positive side, the temple was well-maintained, and the atmosphere was peaceful with minimal queues. The surrounding market resonated with a holy aura. Overall, a spiritually enriching experience. Giving it a thumbs up!

Recently, I had the pleasure of visiting the Brahma Temple in Pushkar, and the experience was nothing short of enchanting. Nestled in the quaint town of Pushkar, this temple dedicated to Lord Brahma is a serene oasis of spirituality. The architectural marvel of the temple is awe-inspiring, showcasing a blend of ancient design and intricate carvings. The moment I stepped onto the temple grounds, a sense of tranquility enveloped me. The sanctum sanctorum, adorned with vibrant colors and intricate motifs, resonates with a divine energy that is both palpable and peaceful. What sets the Brahma Temple apart is not just its architectural magnificence but also its historical significance. As one of the very few temples dedicated to Lord Brahma, it holds a unique place in Hindu mythology and pilgrimage. The spiritual ambiance is heightened by the rhythmic chants and the fragrance of incense lingering in the air. The temple's location is another highlight. Situated on the banks of the sacred Pushkar Lake, the setting is picturesque. The sight of pilgrims taking ritualistic dips in the holy lake and the panoramic view of the surrounding hills add to the overall spiritual experience. During my visit, I found the temple premises to be well-maintained, and the priests were welcoming, providing insights into the temple's history and rituals. The aura of devotion was further heightened by the resonating sound of bells and the echoes of prayers. In conclusion, the Brahma Temple in Pushkar is a gem that captivates not only with its architectural grandeur but also with the spiritual resonance that permeates its sacred spaces. It's a must-visit for anyone seeking a harmonious blend of history, culture, and divine energy. My visit left an indelible mark on my spiritual journey, making it an experience I will cherish for a lifetime.

Situated in Pushkar, the only temple of Lord Brahma in world as per mythology. Park your vehicle at ground and walk approx 500 m to visit the temple. Dont get into trap of guides who lure by saying Rs 20-30 for guiding to pushkar temple and sarovar. They aim to take you to Sarovar and indulge in worship by pandit who will try to fool and attract heavy dakshina. Visit to temple directly. Presently no prasad offering so don't buy prasads as they will be kept outside or shop keeper will fool again. Small shops are there on the way from parking to temple and you can negotiate if you buy something

Good place to visit if you are in pushkar. This only temple for lord Brahma invites tourists from all over. Must visit Brahma kund before you go there. Overall 52 ghats are surrounding the lake. The market nearby offers variety of local product, the rates are high but every thing can be price negotiable.

The temple structure dates to the 14th century, partly rebuilt later. The temple is made of marble and stone slabs. It has a distinct red pinnacle (shikhara) and a hamsa bird motif. The temple sanctum sanctorum holds the image of four-headed Brahma and his consort Gayatri(goddess of vedas). The temple is governed by the Sanyasi (ascetic) sect priesthood.[2] On Kartik Poornima, a festival dedicated to Brahma is held when large numbers of pilgrims visit the temple, after bathing in the sacred lake.
