It is a lord Ganesha Temple. It is also a ashtavinayak Ganpati Bappa. There is a entry fee of 25 Rs. We have to climb the mountain it tooks about half and hour. Handicapped or disabled person can climb through the the help of chair lifted by four persons they charge 1000rs. There are a lot of monkeys. There is not a lot of Darshan Q. There is lot of area for parking below. And stalls of toys and food. Everyone must visit.

Its one of the beautiful places amongst ashtavinayak, and the only one required 15min stairway trekking. If it’s a sunny day do not forget to carry water bottle with you as you can not get on the top. Keep yourself aware with surroundings as many monkeys will be around to chase you for food. There is a per person entry fees, only free for Junnar taluka person. Mahaprasad is also available from 10am on wards and its really worth it, although not maintained properly. Reach Junnar from pune or Nashik, you will get auto or sharing taxis easily. In case of anything please free to contact.

Shri Girijatmaj Ganpati Temple at Lenyadri is the only one on a hillock and the location is very beautiful. The Girijatmaj means the son of Girija, Devi Parvati. The temple is the sixth one in the sequence of the pilgrimage of Ashtavinayak, which is about 100 kilometres away from Pune. The cave is very cool and lit by natural light. It is said that the temple and other caves were the abode of Pandavas during the period when they were supposed to remain hidden from others. Since the temple is one of the Buddhist caves, the place also has historical importance. The 300 plus steps were constructed in stone brickwork to reach the temple and there is lush greenery everywhere. The tourists/devotees buy the locally harvested grapes, black raisins, chikus at the base of the mountains.

Girija's (Parvati's) Atmaj (son) is Girijatmaj. Girijatmaj Ashtavinayak Temple is the only temple of the Ashtavinayak which is on a mountain. The temple is carved out of a single stone hill. It is approached after climbing 307 - 315 steps, Out of 18 Buddhist caves in the mountain, Girijatmaj Ganpati Temple is in the 8th cave. These are called Ganesh-leni as well. This cave is very cool in every weather and this temple/caves very clean. Many monkeys play and fun here with peoples. Good time to do Darshan here is early morning or late evening due to sun 🌞. Also crowd is more during daytime or mid noon. It takes around 20-30 mins to reach the cave from base village and around 20mins for Darshan and 15 mins in deceiving back. You can get ladoo as prasad and also enjoy prasad lunch post Darshan. GANPATI BAPPA MORYA

One of the best religious places for me. The Ganpati Bappa Mandir is on a mountain so the walk till there is awesome and if you are lucky with the weather then its icing on the cake. The next best thing is, the temple is inside a cave and it's too cool, darshan also doesn't take much time but the main thing is, you get good darshan of Bappa and not like most of other famous temples where you can't even see the God sometimes and move in line in 1 second. Apart from the temple, you can see other caves of Buddhists time and one just beside the temple has a stup as well. The view from the mountain is breathtaking and as mentioned earlier, if the weather is good then it's a one of a kind view. The whole area is close to nature so you will enjoy it for sure.
