This place is fun but I will firstly advise to go if you can plan to do any other activity in the area, as it is about 1,5hrs drive from Seoul and the ride will take about 1 hour in total. They have cars for 2 or 4 people and the circuit has part pedaling and part using a motor as its up hill. It doesn't take a lot of effort and is totally doable, specially if you share the pedaling between members of the group. The views along the circuit are ok and get better when you cross over the river. The price is also quite reasonable, in example a 4 pax car costs 35,000won *If this post was useful please kindly 👍 it

Indeed we experienced an adventure outing during our visit in Seoul. We were at Gapyeong Rail Park a delightful joy ride adventure that combines scenic beauty with outdoor activity. The unique adventure offers an experience of a motor pedal sort of cart or rickshaw along a railway track tracking through a wooden bridge then through a forest enjoying breathtaking views of the surrounding. It's a good feat for everyone to enjoy since you'll spend quality time together. The carts are easy to pedal, since it's equipped with a motor and once the engine is running it will take over the work of pedalling. The ride roughly takes about 20+ minutes taking you through different forms of adventure even over the picturesque Bukhan River. It's a good form of relaxation and stress therapy from the big crowds and bustling city life we encounter daily, allowing you to soak in nature's beauty. Coming here will give you a memory to remember by since Gapyeong Rail Park is another popular and well known attraction in Korea and this helps to boost you itinerary for a memorable day out. Enjoy the ride and be happy.

this was soooo fun! we booked tickets online but i think walk ins might be possible too as not all bikes were occupied. but it’s better to book online anyway. the route was about 30 min one way, with a short 10-15 min break before cycling back. the view was so scenic and the spring weather was perfect! it was so relaxing cycling, definitely would return :)

Railway was super fun. This is perfect bonding for families. The whole ride takes approximately 1 hour and a half. At the end, there is a resting area with heaters and shops as well as restrooms. After that, you will onboard a train which is a bit crowded until you get back to starting area.

Fun specially for the kids. Our visit was autumn and the view was stunningly good! Don't worry if you are not that fit, there is a motor in the railbike that will assist you in accelerating. I highly recommend this activity.

SUCH A GREAT ACTIVITY! you get to cycle through beautiful scenery at your own pace. carts are either 4 or 2 seaters and isn’t too difficult to pedal - you can cycle over the river and through the beautiful trees - takes around an hour to do everything ;)

This is my favorite raibike park in Korea! They have 3 different locations around the city and we have been to two (Kim Yoojeong and Gapyeong stations) of those. They are reachable by subway, have different but equally beautiful scenery and are really easy to handle. Nice choice for those who like active resting! I would say have at least 2+ hours of each if you want to take your time, but can be done quicker too! The Gapyeong station one is 80% automated so you don’t have to pedal much too!

Great activity to do if you're visiting Nami Island or the Gapyeong area. The whole activity (round-trip) takes around an hour including a break at another station. This is definitely a smaller rail park (there are multiple rail parks in Korea), but it's also the easiest to reach. I would very much recommend pre-booking, but you can also try your chance with getting a ticket once you get there. The activity is done in rounds so you may have to wait for the next round. Pre-booking is incredibly frustrating though if you're a foreigner, especially as foreign booking sites are no longer accepting bookings so you have to book on the Korean website which will require you to install plugins to get the payment through (which only works on Windows as well). There is two rail parks that can be reached from Gapyeong rail station, so make sure you're communicating to the taxi driver correctly which one you're going to!

Loved this place. You get great views of the lake and go thru the town. The rail bikes has electric assisted in case you get tired and there is a 10 to 15 min break half way. There is a photo stop on the way there. you can purchased your picture during the rest period if you like. 25 kw for 2 people. The tour bus drops you off near by.

It would have been the perfect experience if the cherry blossom trees are not partially bald... be sure to arrive at least 15 minutes earlier... the bikes are actually semi electric powered so it is not tough to ride them... buy tickets in advance on KLOOK to prevent disappointment...

No need to come here purposely for the ride unless this part of Nami Island itinerary route. The whole trip is about 20mins to turning point, rest for 10mins and back to the start point again.

This was a wonderful and fun experience to enjoy. Sometimes felt more tiring than others to pedal and get the wheels moving and motor running but absolutely a bonding experience. Riding the rails over the bridge is really fun and the view along the way to the turnaround point is great as well. Definitely bring a friend and enjoy yourself. Also great other travels you pass along the way too.

Gapyeong Rail Park offers a delightful experience, allowing you to pedal along railway tracks amidst landscapes. The scenic ride, complemented by the serene surroundings, creates a memorable outing. Perfect for both solo travelers, families and couples seeking a unique adventure. There’s a nice cafe break in between. So do check it out!

Great experience for riding the bicycle. The bicycle is semiauto, thus using less effort to pedal.

Suggest to visit in autumn or spring to see good colourful nature . Tickets to be bought ahead , take 10-30 mins in queue. And rail starts on specific timings only. We need to start rail by pedalling however it is electric powered, so u wont be tired at the end of 8-10 kms trail. At the end of trial, there is restroom n cafe u will get 10-15 mins break and beed to cycle back to origin.

Such a cute location. There's quite a lot of downhill so it makes it easy. The tunnels were amazing!

was a lovely time here even during Winter! the view is pleasant and you will not sweat, if there is no one you can even rest ur legs and leave it to the automated system. best to take a cab from gapyeong station as well as to prepare KakaoT on your phone to get a ride back to the station as there are barely any taxis you can flag if you wish to return to the station. there is a resting point that the staff will direct you towards when you reach the checkpoint (note that this trail has a u-turn, you will return where you first started) if you are lucky you will find a very friendly cat at the cafe!! super love this route and would definitely come back during other seasons to experience :)

The bike can move automatically by motor. The view is also good and I could feel fresh air.

My mom and I enjoyed the rail bike. There was a point while biking when I felt tired but the path went downhill a few minutes later so we were able to rest. The place is very unique and it was one of the highlights of our day. Better than crowded Nami Island.

Quite an enjoyable ride with the kids. It's motorized and only need to pedal at the beginning to start the motor.

One of the most amazing experiences I had in the area. Took the Gapyeong City Tour bus and decided to give the rail park a go. Definitely above expectations. Truly enjoyed the ride and views! Rail bikes are motorized so need not worry if you are not looking to perspire. Be sure to check the scheduled rail bike timings. One ride lasts about 1.5 hours with a 5-10 mins break in between.

Perfect activity for families! Partially electric bikes where you only need to paddle at the start. Great activity even for families with kids or the elderly. The trail takes you across a river at the beginning, followed by a relaxing journey with scenic views. While journey takes about an hour. There is a half way stop point where you can rest and visit the washroom if needed. There is also a dog park located there. After which you will turn and head back to the starting point. Do take note of the weather when heading down. For off peak season with colder weather, it is recommended after the sun is out and the fog clears. Opt for the 10.30am slot instead of the 9am slot. We bought tickets online. Staff is helpful in guiding and explaining the instructions to us. English pamphlet with instructions is given.
