I agree the rooms are a bit outdated but the location to everything makes up for that. The bars, restaurants, and entertainment was excellent. The bartenders and waitresses were amazing each day and night. The Sundeck was our favorite place, Jeremy took amazing care of us. The drinks were strong and came as quick as you needed them. The view was great. The beach was clean and nice. Walking distance to other bars and restaurants. Will be back for sure.

Other than the beautiful views on the beach, I am unable to give the resort an honest review. My husband and I go to Lani Kai Beach often, however, we have never stayed in the resort. From the outside looking in, I would like to think that The facility is well kept and that it would be a very nice experience for those who choose to be guests at this establishment.

Great location. Food and drinks are really expensive. However, you will find affordable prices within a short walk. Rooms need TLC (dirty drapes and walls) and the noise level is way too high past midnight. Yes, music from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. However, the lack of consideration by guests is beyond words. Either too drunk or really don't care about anyone else. Be aware of the additional taxes imposed in addition to the beach resort and state tax. Bed Tax? Really? There is only one shower in the pool area. We were trying to minimize the amount of sand coming into the resort (elevator, hallway, and room). If you want to feel like you are on spring break all the time, go for it.

I stayed here in July so my review is a little dated but we had such a great time. I grew up going here and my boyfriend and I decided to visit again for the memories and we weren’t disappointed. Our room was so clean and the check-in process was a breeze, the front desk was so sweet. The bartenders were amazing, a little pricey but you’re at a resort bar on the beach so….expected. We stayed about a week and didnt have a single issue while we were there. So sad to see it was damaged by Ian and we’re sending all our love from GA!

*To all Ft Myers community with all support from neighbors on the East coast. The Bar on the first floor is open and our amazing server Keyana (I hope I spelled it right) made our day on the beach perfect. Very friendly, attentive and bright personality. We’re wishing you guys all the best and stay strong!

Can’t wait for this place to be back in full! Right now bare bones, bar on the beach, but the people were so very friendly. Glad to see they’re coming back.

The only thing open from the hurricane is the beach side bar. Absolutely a beautiful view of the beach and gulf.

We've stayed here several times and love it. Unfortunately, it was damaged by the hurricane and we weren't able to stay there, but we did utilize their beach service, which was excellent!

This is a 'young people' resort with a 5 star restaurant on the top floor. Amazing music played at night by a live band. Definitely not a place for kids or people who want quiet and relaxation. More a party crowd, which is fine because that is what some people go on vacation for. Rooms were very clean. Staff was amazing and on point. Only wish is that I knew about this place when I was younger!!

Lani Kai was fabulous, very attentive staff and very clean rooms. Staff is quick to accommodate anything you need, it’s very clean, everything you need is right here! Pool is refreshing, beach is groomed and clean, people are super friendly! Music is not overbearing and you can request the “quiet” area which will not keep you awake. We loved our stay here!

Lani Kai hotel is not open yet. We just stopped in at their makeshift bar to get a cold drink while at the beach. As far as we know, it's order for yourself at the bar and pick up your drinks there also. No one came to our table to check on us or to deliver our drinks. They have a very limited food menu and no appetizers. As there are so very limited places to eat now near the square, this place could be making a killing. The prices seemed very reasonable for the sandwiches.

Stopped by the rooftop restaurant for lunch. Great view and service. Moderate prices. Grilled grouper was flaky but too salty. Potato salad was Bland- only cubed potatoes and mayo. It needed celery, onions, or parsley at the very least. Mussels were fresh but very plain. It needed a savory wine sauce.

Regarding the beach front bar, Club Ohana at Lani Kai, WOW! Strong yet delicious drinks. Attentive bartenders. I was here during the 'off-season' and there were a decent number of locals. The live band that night were skilled musicians. 10/10 And they have a good selection of frozen drinks! The mudslide tastes like melted ice cream (breakfast anyone?) And the liquid marijuana as a drink rather than shot- best ratio and taste of ANY venue I've ever visited! LOVE IT!!!

Out dated rooms. Parking was horrible. They had one entrance/exit roped off, we had to keep backing up to let people in or around. Definitely did not have enough parking for guest and locals. Elevators have no air. See through elevator was down. A couple other elevators were down or you couldn't use them. Pool was clean. Food was decent. Bars were decent. Umbrella and chairs were costly on the beach. Staff was pleasant. A few of us in the wedding party had a few things go out in rooms but staff did immediately take care of it including air not working. Beach areas were cleaned every day. Hotel was on the beach which made it nice. We would return.

The room was very spacious, the staff was awesome (Walter was so nice!!) The door to the room was unlocked using a wrist band which was very convenient because it was waterproof and you didn't have to worry about losing your key. The Starbucks inside the hotel was kind of expensive, but the restaurants were fair priced with good food.

Hotel was great! In walking distance to so much!! Staff was polite, friendly and always so helpful!! I didn't get the names of many of the staff that helped us, but Walter and T seemed to always be in the right place at the right time to help us! I honestly don't think we had one complaint while there! We will definitely be back!

Stayed here with my family and had a great time! It's so convenient with the restaurants on top floor. It was our anniversary and Island view restaurant was so accommodating... The food is tremendous and the customer experience is awesome. They make you feel like family there. The vibe is like you've been there before and you're coming back again. They helped me get flowers for my wife and everything. We will most definitely be returning! Sooner rather than later. Front desk staff was super friendly and always made us smile. Clean rooms great views of the gulf...thanks so much Lani Kai! Sincerely....The Keils

Location was great. Walking distance to shopping/dining. Probably not for family with younger children, particularly after sunset.

The sun deck is super cute with a view. They have cute swing tables and the casual ambience is very nice but the food is absolutely atrocious! We both ordered the crab cake dinner and it was so extremely salty. It felt like my mouth was drinking the saltiest ocean water. Plus they were extra dry and the rice was harder then anything I have ever put in my mouth …. Good luck !!!

It was a challenge to figure which way to go to our room without having to go through the service area. Our room was right over the bar which is fine. Band was good. They played our style of music. So we didn't mind that you could still hear them. The room was a little dated but we didn't go there for the room. Had a great time.

The Island View has become a must go for dinner every time we're in Ft. Myers Beach. A great Happy Hour always kicks off a delicious dinner. Try the Chicken Riggies. If you've been to Utica, you'll want to try their version (delicious and authentic).

Excellent location. Requires flexibility regarding evert aspect of stay... Room is comfy. All else mediocre. obligated and 1/2 stepped bar tending ground level... Live music...could have be way better. beach seats guys...rude Kai shops suck. Food/drink/service on top decks....worth it!

It's a beautiful place to stay. Ive always stayed at diamond head. But this place is nice too. Convenient to stores as well has food and stores inside. Haven't tried the heated pool, it's been empty. Great place at a decent price. Clean. I love the art work.

Great view, good one man band. Ordering drinks off the happy hour menu with the waitress, get the check and she says, no happy hour on Holidays. Ya think she might have mentioned that when we were questioning the drinks of their happy hour menu. Menu states, 4-7 everyday, nothing that excludes holiday.

Decided to make reservations for new years, got there and realized that I had made reservations for the fancy restaurant. Told waitress and she was totally fine with it and understood! We then went back next door waited maybe 10 mins and then we were sat. Food was good drinks were strong and the view was stunning! Spent a few hours there then decides to venture down to the beach! Can't wait to go back and spend the day on the beach and try more of their food! Great atmosphere, wonderful staff and good food for a decent price on the beach!

We visited the the Lani Kai on three separate occasions first the upstairs restaurant in the evening, it was nice. I ordered the angel hair pasta and it was really good. We sat out on the patio over looking the ocean. The second time we met a friend for a couple of drinks on a Wednesday evening it was pretty chill, the bartender was super. The third time we ate from the Greek food window during a Friday afternoon, the food was decent a little over seasoned for me but my friend's liked it. Lani Kai definitely seems to have a complete party atmosphere, DJ on the beach, hula hop contests, beer chugging, creepy old men lurking. Definitely for the party seekers.
