We've been renting here since August, 2021 and can't wait to be done with our rental in 6 weeks. Residents here are angry, and most are unpleasant. Because we're renters we're treated like 2nd class citizen. We're 55+ and since we look younger, and have a service dog, we're are harassed on a daily basis when we take her for a walk. She is small, does not bark and we clean up after her. My wife has breast cancer, and has a small dog who goes to chemo with her. The population is narrow minded, and rental rates are super high for all the harassment you have to deal with as renters. Don't rent here...you can do much better.

This place was my paradise. A great place to reside for vacation and retirement for the elderly. It has been destroyed by Hurricane Ian (Fall 2022). I hope to return and rebuild. I will always cherish the memories I have from living there before the storm.

if you are a young person going to visit your parents or grandparents then get ready to have nasty looks thrown at you by other residents. some residents shake their head after looking at me & some just look at me in disgust. seems like most here including workers have some type of chip on their shoulder. other then that the scenery is pretty & building are clean.

I can't justify them raising prices during pandemic especially since most events have been Cancelled (for the past year) where's the money going? Greed is not a good look. Do better Corporate! This review is no reflection on siesta Bay staff or matainance, These people are fantastic and helpful and friendly facilities are pristine. .

Place was very nice and clean! The only problem I had, was that we checked in at 3p.m. Saturday and the office closed at 2p.m. and did not open again till Monday. We found a welcome packet on the front office door. We did not receive a key at this time. So for the first 2 days we were unable to use the bathrooms, showers, library, work out room, and pool table game room. I was told that I should've called the "emergency " number and they would've brought me a key. I think a sign that says "after hours" number would be better. But that's just my opinion. The place was very close to the beaches and the staff was very friendly when I was able to check in on Monday morning when they reopened the office. I would come back again and now I know how to get a key after hours.

Very clean and well maintained. When we got there some nut was on our site and refused to leave. Luckily the ranger showed up and took care of the matter. Residents in the park are very friendly.

Will looking for a home to purchase we were recommended to look at Siesta Bay. What a HUGE mistake. Dealt with Manager Ms Clark and sales rep Ms Loeb. We placed what we were told was a refundable deposit on a home only to find out that we were given partial information. We jumped though every hope Ms Clark placed in front of us only to find out she never forwarded the information until we pressed her to submit it, at which time she stated that it was too late to retrieve our refund. If you want to be layed too and mislead go to Siesta Bay. Make sure you have a good lawyer before you do.

If I could give zero stars, I would. BEWARE of this place and Sun Outdoors/Sun Communities, the owner. In the past 30 days since Hurricane Ian, I have never experienced such inept customer service and poor management anywhere or about anything as I have now at this place. You can tell a lot about a company by how they operate when the chips are down, and this company and RV park are a complete FAIL. I will avoid doing any business with them at any of their many parks in the future. Their communication has been nearly nonexistant, even before the hurricane. Now it's crucial that they be updating us, even if the update is they are assessing, working on XYZ, etc. Their problem-solving abilities are nonexistant. This is a multi-billion dollar international REIT, so it's clear where their priorities are - not with the residents. We have had a family place here for 30 years but will not return. 900 some units at this park, and most are either walking away, turning over title, or sitting in limbo waiting to hear what's going on. The county process, FEMA and insurance have all been basically very difficult to navigate and get direct, factual answers on, and the park "management" has only added to the problems and offered no help to navigate these complex things, like others RV and mobile home parks have. This is just inexcuseable for a company this size. I hope it is never rebuilt and should be turned into nature preserve. Maybe that would honor the man who died in the Hurricane instead of some unsuspecting purchaser living in his spot?
