Shri Shankaraling Math at Sankeshwar is built near the riverside Hiranyakeshi. This Math is ancient and founded by Adi Shankaracharya himself. Pilgrims/tourists across Karnataka and Maharashtra visit Sankeshwar and especially the months of January & February is special for its Jathra which gathers thousands of people to celebrate at its festive.

Sri Shankaraling Temple (Matha) is an old temple located in the town of Shankeshwara and is a favorite place of devotees. There is also a magnificent fair once a year. There is the town of Sankeshwar, 50 kilometers away from Belgaum and within a kilometer of Sankeshwar city you will find the Shankaralinga Temple(Matha)

Lot of rennovation being done. Espically an old temple pillars being replaced with woooden pillars .and a highway bridge view from the river side of temple

Visited this Math on 13 Mar 2022, Sunday. It's a massive ancient temple right on the bank of Hiranyakeshi river. The structure is all in stone. Beautiful stone columns that support the strong roof. Well-maintained, spick and span.
