Stayed for one night and had a lovely experience here. Shigeru, one of the two owners is a gentleman and a scholar (Sadly never met the other owner Peko). He claims to not know much English but he does extremely well to get by with two Canadians that do not know too much Japanese. The rooms were perfect size for the price we paid. The whole building is super clean. Both me and my girlfriend loved the atmosphere here. If you do plan to stay in Nikko I highly suggest to stay here. Location wise it's close enough to the train station to walk to and from. As well the building is located between the main town grocery store and town square which is filled with more amazing people. I couldn't suggest this place enough. If I had to be picky about something I would say the light in our room wasn't bright enough because of how the light fixture blocks some light. I was saddened to not be able to say goodbye to this incredible man. So this is my goodbye friend. If we are ever in this unforgettable part of Japan we'll be sure to stay here again and visit!

We didn't actually get to stay here due to circumstances beyond our control, however, I had to share this review to appreciate how helpful Yoshi from the Sanga Nikko management has been. From the time we booked he's been very responsive to our queries and when we ultimately had to cancel our booking, he graciously agreed to waive off the fees. Hope we get to return to Japan & experience the hospitality in person! :) Thank you Yoshi!

We stayed for 3 night at sanga Nikko and we enjoyed every moment of it! The staff is amazing and helps you with whatever you need. 2 minutes walks from nikko station. The place is well designed, clean and well treated facilities. I deeply recommend this place, you would love it!

Great place!!!very clean and comfortable. Its very near tobu nikko st, take a walk around 5 minutes. The host are very nice and helpfull. The bathroom very clean and using general toilet. Stayed for two nights while exploring Nikko. A beautifully clean, relaxing, homely place with everything taken care of by a very kind and attentive host.

Nice mixture of ryokan and hostel. Great staff and comfortable accomodations. The site offers a full kitchen and large fridge for guests to use. Will stay here again on my next trip to Nikko.

Could not recommend enough! Yoshi, the manager, was very nice and thorough introductions to the place. He helped us plan our trip to Nikko as well as extensive explanations on how we can get the best time out of Nikko. However, if you would prefer a shorter and more straightforward check-in then he’d be happy to do that too! The stay made our trip to Nikko so worthwhile.

This was a fabulous accomondation! Everything is super clean and tidy and the kitchen is well equipped. It is very close to the train station and bus station (~2 min walk). The owner, Yoshi, was very helpful and kind. We had a rough idea of what we wanted to do in Nikko and he helped us fill in the details of how to get where and what else to see and do. He was a great host and I would definitely recommend staying here!

Loved the stay at Sanga Nikko! It was convenient to prepare in the morning with the multiple toilets and basins, very cosy and homely place too. Environment is quiet, location is good and the owner Yoshi is very helpful and friendly. He even helped us take a picture to commemorate the stay! It is also near to the train station and supermarket.
