WONDERFUL experience! If you are near Tokyo, please travel to this lovely animal cafe, it will be worth your time! The owner is clearly a guy who truly loves and cares for his capybaras with such admiration and respect. If you don’t believe me, take a look at how he talks about them on his Instagram page. The admission includes a drink and it is unlimited access to the capys. They are so expressive and adorable. You can also leave and return if you’d like. We purchased sugar cane and leafy greens as well and it was such a joy to see each capybara’s individual personality when it came to food. The Guinea pigs are equally entertaining! They hopped out of their house when we came over with greens and were so cute. This visit was at the end of our two week visit to Japan and it is what I was looking forward to the most. It did not disappoint! Please visit this cafe and help support the capys!!!

Capybara Land is really cozy and relaxing! They strictly enforce hand sanitation, social distancing and mask wearing. Since it was my first time to visit, they explained the membership tier, how to feed them, and to make sure not to let them nibble on your clothes :)) Miss Potato and Ron-boy are so adorable! They did go crazy over the sugarcane :))

It's worth the trip from Tokyo! Yes it takes a little time and effort to get there, but its the best place in the world. Miss Ringo was really photogenic and Miss Potato loved the snacks we fed her. The guinea pigs are also super cute. I also met president and the director, both are very kind as well.

This cafe is one of my favourite places in the Tokyo area. The owners are so friendly and have a good knowledge about the Capybaras. The animals are well kept, have several days off in the week, so they are not stressed in any way. For a small price you have an unlimited time in the cafe and some food for the animals. Many pet cafes charge by minutes which makes the experience both stressful for animals and customers, but here you can take your time and pet those cute Capybaras or just watch them sleep peacefully. Also the atmosphere is nice with Hawaiian music. The drinks, especially the coffee is very delicious. I would recommend this wonderful place for everyone who is a Capybara lover or those who love animals and a good coffee.

Look the capybaras are lovely animals, and you will find them here. However the experience is overly pricy and the conditions of the capybaras are far from adequate. They don’t have space, no contact with the sun or the outside… I expected to be informed at least a little about them and learn about their life condition or something, however that’s not the case at all. The owner just took the money and went into his office till I finished my visit. He seems like a nice guy, although he doesn’t speak any english. And the place is very badly located, only accesible through train and buses. I think this conditions for the animals should be investigated.

Capybara Land was one of the best experiences we had while visiting Japan last month. There is care and love put into the place. The owner and worker are very accommodating and even used google translate to communicate effortlessly with us. Getting to spend time with the capybaras was amazing and not forced. A must visit!

We had suuuuuuch a lovely time here, I cannot recommend it enough. It's not going to be the prettiest of venues, but let's be real, we're only here to meet the capybaras, right? We met Ms Potato and Ms Ringo, both of whom were so chill the entire time. All they wanted to do was eat, take dips in the little basin, and lounge around. They were completely unbothered by the class of screaming kindergarteners who were there when we first arrived. Also, important note: there is no time limit on how long you can hang out there. Like some other reviews say, it is a bit out of the way to get here from Tokyo. It took us about an hour's train ride from our hotel here, and then it was an 8 minute taxi ride to the cafe.

This was an amazing intimate spot to spend unlimited one on one time with two incredibly sweet and friendly capybara’s! The owner is super nice and helpful. The capy’s will come right up and hang out with you, they enjoyed pets and definitely lots of treats! Amazing experience and 10/10 recommend if you’re in the area and wanting to see some capybaras!

The best experience of my 7 yo son’s so far. The best capybara cafe in Tokyo. Extremely worth visiting. Not just the Capies, but also Mr. President and the his lovely brother as well. Strongly recommended. Nicest, kindest, friendliest, cozy and happy place. Please visit this place on your trip to Tokyo. Then you want to come back every day. Thank you very much Mr. President for the unforgettable experience. 🙏🙏🥰🥰

aaaa this place was honestly sooo lovely!!! it takes a while to get there from central tokyo - took me about 45 minutes by train, and the walk from the station was about 20 minutes - but i would say its well worth it. it's a little cafe with 2 (TWIN!!!) capybaras that have distinct personalities :-))) i had such a lovely time here and the neighbourhood it's located in is just as quaint and beautiful. thank you so much miss potato and miss ringo!!! you've made my trip to tokyo especially memorable and i will be coming back if i have the chance!!!🩷🩷 p.s.: i highly recommend the walk here from the station, especially if you're coming during winter! you get a glimpse into how locals live since the area isn't as touristy, and the neighbourhood has a few photo-taking spots. it's kind of like a peaceful, quiet getaway from all the noise going on in the main city.

Small business dedicated to creating a happy life for capybaras struggling to make ends meet during the pandemic. They enforce pandemic safety well and have strict hygiene protocols. I recommend supporting this business in this hard time. I also recommend giving to their patreon if you can.

So sweet and kind! This NOT an animal cafe, this is two sweet pet capybaras that like to take visitors. They are so well cared for and friendly, and have such nice environment. Mr president takes very good care of them and loves them so much. It can be reached by train metro and bus from Tokyo in about 90 min, and I was so happy I went. You could combine it with other Yokohama attractions if you wanted. Please support these capys, they have taken a hit with the pandemic and they need love. They have a fun website and instagram!

While visiting Yokohama, I took my daughters (obsessed with capybaras) to this petting Cafe, similar to cat or dog cafes all over Japan but with CAPYBARAs! Miss Potato, Ron Boy, and Miss Ringo. They were charming, and the girls had a blast petting and feeding them. Admission includes a beverage, and capybara food... but if you want to see them go NUTS, buy them some sugar cane. The proprietors of this business answered all of our questions and obviously they truly love the capybaras and treat them very well. You can tell, they are like part of their family. There are also guinea pigs! We had a great time. This place is a little out of the way, on a quiet charming street with an amazing bakery. Highly recommend.

Going to Capybara Land has always been a dream for me, and it finally came true. Pote-chan, Ringo-chan, and Ron-kun were very polite and sweet and friendly, unlike most animal cafes, and the price is very affordable. For a first time visit you'll spend about 1,600 yen with no time limit, and you get a complimentary drink and some treats for the capybaras. Overall we spent about two hours patting the capybaras and playing with them and it was a very intimate and loving experience. Unfortunately when we visited, the food was closed due to COVID, and I can tell that COVID has hit this business hard. I truly hope with the upcoming Spring season and the opening of Japan's borders that this business will flourish again, as it's one of the genuinely ethical and liberating animal cafe experiences this side of Japan.

Very cute capybaras and guinea pigs!! The president loves his animals, some may say its too small, but I have been to others where they don’t even have toys or a pool!!! The capybaras here can have swims. Very friendly.

I came here in april of this year and although I didn’t post a review I feel the need to do so now given light seldom seen negative reviews bringing this fine zoo’s reputation through the mud. Capybara land pui pui is a place of happiness and wonder as seen by the people working so passionately and hard to provide good care for the visitors and most importantly the capys. I was a big fan of Ringo and the ginueapigs! Free drink provided upon entry and excellent customer service as the man in charge helped me and my foreign family get a taxi back to Tokyo center. 10/10

What an interesting place! My partner and I were in the area for a walk and some shopping when I saw it on the maps. My partner loves capybara so we went. The owners were kind and very happy to introduce their friendly capybaras to us. The system was to pay to enter with one drink included and some capybara snacks. It looks like frequent visitors can get discounts as well. You can pay extra for more snacks or snacks for their guinea pigs as well. We stayed maybe a half hour to an hour. We were also surprised by the amount of English used in the facility. The owners spoke a little with me and most of the signs use English as well as Japanese. Would recommend! Just a bus ride from a nearby station and you're there.

I don’t know who enjoyed this more - me or the grandkids! Ringo and Potato loved their pellets and greens. They were gentle and friendly (Potato was a bit shy). The location is interesting - a neat and clean prosperous neighborhood. A very different view of Tokyo. Support these nice owners and get up close with a capybara, a rare experience.

I love Capybara Land PUIPUI!! I visited back in June and the place is so lovely. A small and cosy area with 3 very friendly triplet capybaras, Ringo chan, Ron kun and Potato chan. The capybara are very clean and have no odor, the place only smells like hay or incense. President Oink has had the capybaras since they were little babies and takes loving care of them. There are also 2 cute guinea pigs Oreo chan and Jiro chan. When you come to Capybara Land you can get 1 drink for free. You can buy various snacks for the capybara and guinea pigs like fresh veggies and sugar cane. There is a bathroom available to use and it's clean and nicely decorated. There is also a reward card offered if you come back to visit more than once. Capybara Land PUIPUI is a really nice place to visit.

(Translated by Google) As soon as I entered the shop, three people invited me with a cute cry. From around 14:00, I was surrounded by myself and had a nap time with Suyasuya. I felt very happy that the three Kapi-chan had joined me. The directors also handed over Kapi-chan's inserts to me, which led to communication with Kapi-chan again ... What I learned from staying at the store for a day ... The individuality of Kapi-chan and the kindness of the directors ... I want to get to know Kapi-chan more, so I'll come back soon. Last but not least, the three Kapi-chans have beautiful faces and cute hearts. Also, thank you.

Such a cute place! You can tell Miss Potato, Ringo and Ron-kun are very well looked after. They close on Mondays and Tuesdays to make sure the capybaras can rest. Shimarisu-san and his friend were very welcoming and attentive. Consider donating or subscribing to the Patreon to help keep Capybara Land running. I’m so happy I could visit!

If your goal is to meet capybaras, this place delivers 100%. I would not really call it a cafe, nor a land. I would call it someone's living room which got converted into a capybara enclosure. Between that at a bit of a long commute they do drop a star, but it is still worth making the trip

Very lovely capybaras and guinea pigs and you get to pet them for as long as you like. Capybara snacks are available to purchase on site and they are adorable!! It was much worth the journey from Tokyo for us. I highly recommend this place to anyone, especially animal lovers and those who want to help out local businesses.

Had a lovely time visiting here, I miss Ringo and Potato chan already. Stayed for an hour. The owner gives a very clear explanation of what to expect / things to be careful of before going in, you get one free drink, and you can re-enter if you need to leave once. Both capybaras were extremely friendly and clearly very used to being around people. They both had their own personality and quirks and was so interesting to watch and observe (was a surprise to find out that they were potty trained too!). The guinea pigs were also cute and you can feed them some greens etc too! Hopefully I can come back again. A lovely small and intimate place to visit in Yokohama.

Area is a little far from the train station, but it is fine to walk. There is parking around the area as well if you take a car. You have unlimited time and can come inside and out of the capybara shop on the same day. The capybaras and their owner is really nice. They love leafy veggies like mizuna, bok choy, long grass. They also love the raw sugar cane stalks that the owner will break apart for you. He also has a couple of guinea pigs and they alone to eat the raw can sugar as well. GREAT EXPERIENCE! Would definitely recommend.

It was a pleasure meeting Miss Ringo, Miss Potato, and Ron-boy after seeing them so many times online. There were some other sightseers, but there is no limit to how long you can stay, so we waited till they left and were able to be alone with the capybara. Miss Potato was a bit grumpy today and did not want to chat, but Ron and Miss Ringo were very friendly with us! You get to pet the capybaras, feed them, and take cute pictures with them. The caretakers respect the capybaras and their space. They are allowed to nap and leave the space or hide if they do not want to be around people, which made us feel good. The atmosphere is casual, not like a zoo but like visiting 3 little friends. The shelter is hurting for funds right now. If you are in Tokyo it is worth the trip to Yokohama to visit them! ~

Kids loved the capybaras but … the place smelled like capybara poop … the space was small and overly crowded … it’s definitely not a cafe as they serve no actual coffee or drinks .. they just kept letting people in during our visit .. over all not the best experience… it was about 1600 jpy per person .. so decent price considering ..the capybaras looked dirty and not well maintained .. would definitely Not recommend unless cafe Capyba is closed ..
