First
I'm
going
to
review
Michael
and
the
Axis
bar.
My
husband
and
I
flew
a
red
eye
in
from
the
states
so
when
we
arrived
we
were
exhausted,
a
bit
disoriented
and
hungry.
The
Axis
bar
was
open
at
the
time
and
once
we
dropped
our
bags
off
we
went
down
and
grabbed
a
seat.
Michael
made
us
the
most
delicious
cafe
con
leche
and
we
had
a
nice
meal
and
wine.
He's
a
great
server,
bartender,
barista
and
all
around
great
guy.
We
visited
Axis
often
throughout
our
stay
and
Michael
went
above
and
beyond
to
keep
us
well
fed
and
hydrated.
He
is
consistent,
friendly
and
attentive-
I
hope
the
hotel
manager
knows
what
an
asset
he
is!
Okay,
for
the
rest
of
the
hotel.

My
husband
and
I
were
here
for
a
business
trip/vacation
for
a
week.
Given
the
location
and
the
hours
of
restaurants,
spa,
and
amenities
I
would
say
this
place
is
better
suited
for
business
trips.
Fortunately
the
metro
is
a
short
5
minute
walk
from
the
hotel
but
about
a
30
min
ride
to
all
the
action
(museums,
shopping,
restaurants,
etc.)
Also,
though
the
hotel
is
beautifully
designed
and
very
modern,
it
was
a
bit
overwhelming
for
me
personally.
May
not
be
an
issue
for
most,
but
everything
is
mirrored
or
reflective
which
made
for
a
lot
of
visual
noise.
The
sky
bar
on
the
rooftop
is
a
great
idea
though
not
appealing
for
anyone
over
the
age
of
25.
There
was
an
overwhelming
smell
of
perfume
or
air
freshener
when
we
walked
in
that
made
a
few
of
us
sick
and
the
whole
vibe
felt
very
young.
We
left
before
even
being
seated.
Our
room
was
small
but
the
bed
was
comfortable.
They
provided
us
robes
and
slippers
for
our
room
which
was
nice.
As
a
few
other
reviews
had
mentioned,
water
was
hard
to
come
by
and
seems
to
be
a
real
commodity
there.
Overall
the
stay
was
nice.
The
staff
was
very
pleasant
and
worked
hard
to
make
you
feel
cared
for.
I
probably
won't
return
next
time
I'm
in
Barcelona
but
mostly
just
due
to
the
location
being
inconvenient
to
the
places
I
like
to
visit.
