We are currently staying at this hotel and our stay has been awful. Our flight meant we arrived at the hotel at 10am. We went to the desk and politely asked if they would be able to check us in early we were told ‘no check in is 3pm’. We then saw other people get checked in around 1pm so went to ask again. We were told that we couldn’t check in till 3pm and that other rooms were ready. Given how early we arrived why our room wasn’t made a priority I can’t understand. When we said we weren’t very happy that we’d had to sit around for 5 hours and that they hadn’t offered us anything to drink for arduous waiting time especially seeing as this is our first trip married therefore part of our honeymoon the manager shrugged her shoulders. The room we are staying in is not as advertised. There is no storage space meaning all our stuff is cluttering the already small room. The bathroom is next to the bed. The beds cannot be made up as a king only 2 singles pushed together and the safe is charged to use. We were not aware of this when booking. The beds are incredibly uncomfortable, you can feel the springs. The plunge pool on our balcony which we paid extra for was dirty and not working. The air con is poor too. We complained on our first day and the hotel has done nothing to make up for all the terrible treatment and surroundings. We will never stay here again and can’t wait to get home from what I’m struggling to even call a holiday it’s more of a nightmare.

TLDR: We were really disappointed with this hotel, nothing near 4 stars, unjustifiable price. Long version: About the room: just see photos. Not even close to 4 stars, it’s a total scam for the price we paid. Unmaintained, old, a bit dirty, with bad mattresses, two beds pushed back together together are a “king” bed. Only the most basic toiletries which are not even replaced when used up (also not like in photos where you have mini bottles next to the sink - instead they are in those big bottles attached to the wall, and shampoo is diluted with water). Only one bottle of water in the mini bar, and not even a kettle or a tea bag available. Compared to other hotels I have stayed in, this would be clearly a badly maintained two-star hotel room. It was cleaned daily, but obviously hasn’t been properly deep-cleaned for a very long time. When we arrived it was quite dirty and when we went to complain they were nice and showed us another room as an option, but this one was in even worse condition and smelled of mold. The breakfast was nice, however nothing special, and the plates were often not washed well and still had chunks of food on them, sometimes cups had lipstick on them. The gym was dirty and sticky, no water, no AC. The staff was really friendly, so for that reason, and the nice breakfast, I would considered rating 2 instead of 1 star, but still, the total experience is completely unjustified for the price. I feel bad for the nice staff that is working hard but obviously can’t fix the bad management or clean something that is old and unmaintained. Tip: The hotel has no beach area with sunbeds and umbrellas as you are led to believe from the photos. It is behind an independent beach bar, so you pay 60 EUR per day for an umbrella and two beds, and only if you go to wait in line before the bar opens so that you can get an umbrella.

Most uncomfortable bed EVER. Our bodies are so sore from the bed and we couldn't sleep well at all over 5 nights. These must be the cheapest and hardest possible mattresses available. The air conditioning in the room was not adequate and maintenance could not do anything about it even after multiple calls. We had to buy our own fan just to survive. We also requested blankets to try and make the bed softer, but they never arrived. It takes a lot to get me to write a bad review for a place, but this hotel deserves it. The property itself looks nice and the pool area is big, although it closes at 18:00 and there aren't ever chairs available. The 4.7 overall rating it has can't possibly be real. AVOID this hotel - literally anywhere else will have better beds.

This hotel is advertising falsely. The pictures do not meet the reality. The rooms are dump, dirty and mouldy. They need a big renovation!!! They painted the walls over but that doesn’t solve the problem, you can see the mould coming through. I’m pregnant and have asthma, so we requested a room change which happened- the rooms on the third floor are much better and bigger. My AirPods and Birkenstock shoes (!!!) got stolen from my room which I only realised when we were packing before the departure. This was really annoying, I thought I left them in the first room but they didn’t find anything. It really is the worst hotel I ever stayed at. It only is good if you are planning to be drunk 24/7. The only positive thing about it are very friendly people at the reception. We ended up going to the beachclub next to the hotel for our morning coffee which costed us a fortune. The coffee in the hotel is not drinkable. Just look at the pictures. Seeing people with children there really shocked me. This hotel is not a place for kids for sure!!! We took our mother in law with us and we’re ashamed of what kind of hotel we have picked for our stay. Was a big mistake. We should have researched it better. Those positive comments must be fake.

Good location for clubbing.I went all-inclusive, I found lunch and dinner to be the same apart from a carvery in the evenings.Breakfast i found was really good. The drinks were reasonable. If u had to buy your alcoholic drinks price ranges from 5euros to 9 euros. My room was never cleaned properly. You always had to wake up early to get sunbeds,by 9am you be lucky to find a sunbed. This was in the first week of September. Overall I would rate the hotel a 3star.

Very average hotel, 3 stars at best…never a 4 star. The rooms are ridiculously noisy, you constantly hear the sound of the maids dragging furniture around in the morning and can hear conversations from the hallways and other rooms. The doors slam so loudly as well and constantly wake you up, they need to install door closers! The beds were not comfy either so a good nights sleep was out of the question combined with the noise. Food was average at best. Room service was minimal, they changed our sheets and towels but didn’t actually clean the floor or the surfaces. Music starts pumping from around the pool at 10am every day and doesn’t stop until around 11pm at night, so definitely not a place to go if you need any type of relaxation. Staff were polite and fairly helpful…and the hotel is in a great location for playa den Bossa but unfortunately they are the only positives.

I'm pretty close to giving this place four stars, but it's not quite there for me. Starting with the good stuff, this place has a great staff. Everyone we've talked to has been very friendly and helpful. The outdoor area is very nice, with the well-maintained pool being the highlight. The breakfast was average for us. We're both vegan, and we didn't expect many options, which is exactly what we got. Still, it was well organized, and all the non-vegan food looked alright. Be prepared for about 80% of the food being meat, eggs, or dairy-based, and none of the vegan-looking options are labeled as such, so it's a bit of a gamble every time. Again, we didn't really expect much, so it's not a big deal. Now for the negatives. In this hotel, it feels like you're definitely paying a premium for its proximity to the club scene, which personally didn't mean much to us. For the rooms to live up to their four-star ratings, they would definitely need to be renovated. Our room was in pretty shoddy shape and lacked many features that you might expect from a 4-star hotel, such as a nicer shower, a kettle, or a TV that has the ability to show something other than Spanish/Italian cable. Another smaller reason to justify the premium would be the swimming pool, but the issue is that all of the sunbeds get reserved by other guests, despite there being a policy against reserving them. They either need to enforce this policy somehow or add more beds. Paying over 200€ per night for an average hotel room and having to fight other guests for a sunbed is a bit too steep for us. A final positive is having a nice beach right next to the property, but the major downside is that the beach club that rents out the beds isn't part of the hotel, and they charge nearly a hundred euros per day. The reviews for the place seem very positive, and a lot of people seem to be happy to pay this. However, it was a huge turnoff for us and definitely not what we expected when we booked our room. In conclusion, if you're prepared to pay a premium to be close to the club scene but not so much that you're paying 5x more to stay in Ushuaïa directly, then I would definitely recommend this hotel. If you're hoping for luxury and easy/cheap access to the pool and the beach, then maybe this isn't the best place for you.

The first thoughts on this hotel were not very good. The room hadn't been cleaned properly ( the toilet had poo splashes all on the back on the seat!!) I wasn't very happy at all. I was about to call reception, but my husband decided he would clean the bathroom himself with some wipes we had taken ourselves (floor wipes come in very handy! ). The rooms are standard size and very basic, and there's not much room for hanging clothes either. The food choice is really good, being plantbased. I thought I'd struggle to find plenty to eat, but we actually ate like king ans queen all week, so there are no issues there at all. I would say if you're going as a family there isn't much for the young ones, there is a kids clubs but it's not the usual standard we've experienced before but that's no reflection on the staff it's just purely the facilities. However the staff are great and they try their best, There's the beach just on your door step though which is great with little ones and a beach house ( which is expensive for the beds!) But if you grab a couple of drinks there's a little playroom for toddlers. Overall, it's OK, Just be mindful of the cleaning standard it's not quite like at home. But it's a great location for the clubs and only a bus ride away from the old town. Which is a 2 euro fee, and the bus stop is right outside the hotel Would I stay again...probably not. But it's great for group bookings and younger ones purely for location.

Great hotel, excellent location away from the partying clubs but close enough to get to them on a short walk. Staff are very friendly and the breakfast is really good with great selection of food. The pool of the hotel is big and clean, with a lot of sun loungers. You can go direct to the beach from the hotel which is very helpful. Beach house (beach bar) is right at the front of the hotel/beach which is lovely but ££££!!! Parking outside the hotel is available (many empty spaces) especially when compared to a bit further up the strip. Very easy access to the motorway to go to various areas if you have a car (definitely recommended if you want to explore the island) Only downside to this hotel/side of Ibiza is the constant planes flying over and noise of them.

The fact that this hotel has 4 stars is truly shocking to me. It is in a great location, close enough to walk to many of the clubs, but other than that has very little going for it. Airplanes are constantly flying over the hotel. The walls are very thin so you can hear everything in the rooms next to you as well as the staff carting things down the hallways very early in the morning. The “king” beds are just 2 twin beds pushed together. The mattresses are wildly uncomfortable, you can feel every spring underneath you. We had the “do not disturb” sign up on our door but the staff entered our room, without knocking, at 8 am 2 days in a row regardless. When we asked why they kept doing this they stated “sometimes people forget to take the sign off the door when they leave.” Overall just very difficult to get a good night sleep. The shower’s water pressure was great however, the shower head was not supported properly. If we didn’t hold the shower head manually it would shoot upwards and spray water straight at the wooden bathroom door and soak the floor of the bathroom. The bathroom door had severe water damage for this reason I assume. The pool closes at 6 pm even though the sun was setting around 9 pm. The all inclusive buffet was okay, after 5 days of staying there it became very repetitive. We got much better food at the restaurants walking distance from the hotel. The pool and bar staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The manager however, was extremely rude and unwilling to help guests at the check in counter. After our stay here we were honestly eager to get home. We will not be returning to this hotel.

We were at this hotel for a night and full day as our flight was cancelled. Very, very helpful and lovely staff. Excellent service, nothing was too much trouble. Nice spacious room. Lovely pool and the hotel is right on the beach. It would be a lovely place for families or couples wanting a hotel holiday. Not far from the airport so some aircraft noise during the day but none at night. Not really a problem though. Not much happening outside of the hotel. A good walk to shops or bars. But then only a bus or taxi ride to Ibiza town

We had the best holiday ever here! Such an amazing vibe in the hotel.. it really made the holiday. We have never stayed anywhere with such a good atmosphere. My whole family came (ages ranging from 10-75!), and everyone has loved every minute. The food was nice, drinks are great and the pool is lovely too. Wanted to give a shout-out to Kris, he creates such a good atmosphere.. we love him! Hotel wouldn’t be the same without him. Thankyou!!

BOOK NOW! The vibe in this hotel is irresistible. It comes from the staff energy. Reception staff perform perfectly on all matters. Everything and every place is well maintained. All of the cleaning staff do a fantastic job, our room was brilliant everyday. The restaurant offerings are plentiful and the staff joyous. The animation team bring plenty of energy into the hotel and activities. We found the centre of the energy is the bars. The lobby and lounge bars and staff do a fantastic job when the sun goes down as they maintain the vibe. During the day the pool bar is the centre of the energy, with all of the bar staff willing to provide advice and insight. Including making children very welcome, with one person being most prominent with this and the energy - that person is Maria - thank you for your service and the always delicious bottomless drinks. I look forward to seeing you all again very soon.

Pleasantly surprised by this hotel. I have to admit that, having stayed in resorts like this before, at this price point they are generally okay, but not great, so my expectations weren’t particularly high. However, this one exceeded my expectations. For the most part, everything seems pretty well maintained and clean. I could nit pick about one or two things, but nothing major at all. Pool area and bar are a nice place to spend time, and it’s right on the beach if you fancy some sand between your toes instead. Close to bars and Ushuaia/Hi if that’s your thing. Food is good and the staff are perfectly friendly and helpful - Paula was very accommodating. I don’t have much bad to say really, but there is one negative that the hotel can’t do much to change - it’s very close to the airport and the runway points in this direction. Net result, planes take off above the hotel all day, and the noise is quite intrusive. However, it’s by no means a deal breaker once you get used to it, and as it’s not something the hotel can improve on, it’s still a 5 star review! Only other small complaint is I didn’t find the pillows all that comfortable. Would stay here again, many thanks to all the staff🙏

Lovely hotel, in a good location, the beach is right across from the hotel which is super convenient. The hotel has a pool, and the rooms all have nice balconies, which is nice in the mornings and evenings. The staff are super friendly and there's a nice lounge area for evenings. The only things I would complain about is; with all inclusive, there is a separate bar that does cocktails that you have to pay for which are made better than the ones that come with the all inclusive, and for food it becomes repetitive as it's the same options every day especially if you're vegetarian.

  • 5/5 Lieke G. 1 year ago on Google
We are really impressed with this resort. -The rooms are modern and tidy. -The food is really good, lots to choose from and tasty. Also cater for vegetarians. -We liked the music they played at the pool. -Location is perfect, close to the night scene, but not too close. It still gives a secluded feeling, and you are not bothered by the music. - But most of all, we enjoyed the company of the animation team, Kristian and Lewis. They made us feel very welcome! We definitely consider coming again!!

I would not stay here again because the hotel is too far from the old town, harbor portion, beautiful traditional Spanish architecture of Eivissa to get to on foot and the beach in front of the hotel during the week we stayed was full of sea weed and would have been unpleasant to swim in. The general vibe of the hotel is a combination of college youths sucking down vapes (multiple vape vending machines in hotel), day drinking by pool, raging at night and older Europeans lounging by the pool turning their skin to leather while chain smoking. To reiterate previous reviews, getting a pool lounge chair is a competition and there is clearly not enough lounge chairs. When checking out at 0730 people were already heading out to the pool laying out towels to claim their lounge chairs. By 1000 all lounge chairs are taken and people are left sitting in patio furniture away from the pool. The hotel is also on the approach and departure of the airport so aircraft are taking off and landing from 0700 to 2359 everyday which is not ideal if you are looking for quiet. Hotel Fergus is not a bad hotel, it’s just not what we were looking for during our stay. I had read reviews extensively but the general vibe of the hotel was not illustrated. If you are looking for a relaxing, classier grand hotel experience I would not recommend this hotel. If you are looking to rage in Ibiza and walk to nearby clubs this is probably the hotel for you. Upon arrival check in was easy and the desk attendant was helpful at explaining the hotel grounds. We were not impressed with our room that was located above a parking lot and was very small. We went back down to the front desk and upgraded our room to a different building that offered a sea view for an additional 150€ over five nights with no problem. This room was bigger and had a nice balcony to sit and enjoy the sunrise. The bed was not amazing, but average for European hotel beds. The cleaning staff was beyond excellent and super prompt. Most mornings we would leave for breakfast and by the time we got back 30~45 minutes later we had fresh towels and our bed had fresh sheets. It’s almost like the cleaning staff knew we left our room and went in right after we left. There is a ton of vaping and smoking at this hotel, more so than European venues in general. Breakfast was included but was very busy college cafeteria style. There was a wide array of options but was an average hotel breakfast. At night the hotel had a happy hour with heavy bass EDM club music. Most nights heading to bed at 2300 our room was quiet (minus the planes from airport every 30 minutes) and you couldn’t hear the music from clubs despite facing that direction.

Location was excellent close to beach clubs city center but this hotel is definitely not a 4 star hotel 2 and half or maximum 3 stars. Toilet was few times not flushing. They did refill bottled water every day but they give at least new toilet paper every day If you want to take pool towels you need to pay deposit (10€) A/C was almost dying also not work properly but for the money it was good hotel

Amazing and glamorous Lobby, but when you enter the rooms… omg! Terrible old motel style rooms. Extremely expensive for what it provides. If you want to eat something around noon, good luck! It reminded me the summer camps in some villages, plastic glasses, low quality food. When I entered my room the toilet bowl was not cleaned with souvenirs from previous guests. Mattress so old and worn out that was uncomfortable to sleep. 100% not worth the 400€

  • 5/5 Jarne 9 months ago on Google
Great hotel near the clubs and the airport. I definitely suggest getting the All-in option as you can eat in the restaurant upstairs once for free (if you make a reservation for it). You get a full buffet 3 times a day and free refill throughout the entire day! The pool is very clean and the beach is connected to the Hotel. I definitely suggest this place!

After staying at four different hotels in Ibiza's Playa d'en Bossa, it's clear that Fergus stands out as the best choice for guests of all ages. The range of exceptional facilities, coupled with engaging daytime and evening programs, including aqua gym, water polo, water games, foam parties, live DJ events, and music performances, truly made our experience remarkable. The continuous poolside music created an atmosphere of pure enjoyment throughout our stay. Moreover, the dining experience exceeded our expectations with its diverse selection and the inclusion of sparkling wine. However, it's impossible not to emphasize the pivotal role of one remarkable individual at Fergus – Nicolas, the lifeguard. His exceptional attentiveness and genuine care went beyond expectations. Always striving to uplift the spirits of everyone, Nicolas took the time to converse, offer recommendations, and assist with every guest's needs. Nicolas, your dedication made our stay truly special, leaving us feeling cared for and relaxed. We're eagerly looking forward to returning to Fergus for another exceptional stay.

The good Hotel staff are lovely and welcoming Food is great!!! Super selection and fresh Pool and outdoor areas spotless clean. Cleanliness is good in rooms Great vibe at the hotel, music in the evenings and during the day. Great bar Very close to beach SAFE!! Showers strong and plenty toiletries Can rent beach towels at hotel Only gave 4 stars because my room had some small issues ,, but they were minor and no big deal. A bigger tv from when you go inside with the sunburn 😂and new mattresses / two pillows per bed would go a long way

Good and friendly people. The doors should be repaired at all cost because it was loud when it closes which is very annoying when sleeping during day time. Other than that food, cleanliness, service was top.

22/9/'21: Ok(ish)-hotel for a few days. Next to the airport so very noisy with planes taking off. Service is not that great (even with the all inclusive package), grumpy receptionists and one has to pay for every tiny thing (mouth mask, safe in the room etc.). The staff also 'forgot' to tell us about the second restaurant on the first floor. Where we could have had a free (all incl package) a la carte dinner. How weird is that. Hotel needs to update the rooms as well..The (bath)rooms are getting old and tired. Btw make sure you get a room overlooking the pool area, not the landing strip/parking area. We've had the all-inclusive arrangement.Food was good with a wide variety. Drinks are all inclusive till 23:00 h. After 23:00 h. one has to pay for drinks which is very odd, I reckon. Only very small amount of cocktails served, the all inclusive ones (inferior brands) are bad and hardly drinkable. From the hotel one can easily walk to the beach, that's nice. Busstop is very near as well. All in all Fergus was not that great, actually quite disappointing for a 4 star hotel/resort.

I went to FERGUS with a group of friends and we enjoyed to the most our time over there! The service is fantastic and I enjoyed a lot the atmosphere as well as the welcoming and uplifting service from staffs. Gabriel and Raul greeted us and helped us with checkin and checkout. They even surprised us with welcoming fruits plate and sparkling wine - not to mention the beautiful bathing towel, I LOVE IT! Next time I will introduce my family and friends to FERGUS hotel for sure!

Great location and amazing staff, personally I don't think the rooms are particularly great as we had to move from the ground floor as it was dark and stank of mold. I would say it's more of an adults hotel as I didn't feel there was much to keep my kids entertained. Overall it's a nice place with good food and great staff would deffo stay again but leave my kids at home!

Staying here for 8 days. Hotel is nice and the staff. The negative thing is no water cooker in the room. A lot of choices at the breakfast buffet, staff are attentive but the interior of the restaurant is like eating in a canteen or in the hospital. So white. Maybe put some green plants and change the color paint inside so it will be more attractive and cozy to eat. Most of the time we eat lunch and dinner outside the hotel.

Hey guys! I was in this hotel for 5 days (1 week ago) and to be honest with you i just LOVE all the minutes i spend...what an amazing experience! If you want to have some fun you are in the right place, because the animation team is tremendous and i just want/need to say, one more time, a huge "thank you" to all the members of the hotel staff in specially to Mister Luis Cunha who is the true example of what joy can really be, mixed with notion of good work and effort! Thank you to you man and your team, i don t have any doubt that i will comeback soon thanks to you

Luckily only a one night stay as any longer would be difficult to tolerate. A musty, stale and uncared for room, limited variety of food choices, expensive drinks and bar staff who would clearly rather be anywhere else this is not what was expected at all. This hotel is a real disappointment and not reflective of the outstanding friendly service delivered elsewhere on the island over the past fortnight. Not somewhere I will be returning to or recommending.

When I arrived to this hotel at night the staff seemed to be very stressed. In the moment I checked in (only for one night) I asked the duty manager to extend my check out the next morning because my flight departure was at midday. We agreed on a fix price of 60€ extra for the extension. The following morning, at 12am, the cleaning staff came to my room telling me I had to leave the hotel. I tried to explain that I extended my check out but they said it was not possible. I went to speak to the duty manager of the day and she said it was impossible for that I extended my check out because the hotel was fully booked. After I explained it my agreement from the previous night, she told me it was simply not possible and she was giving 10min to collect my things and leave my room. I went back to my room to get dressed and collect my things but during those 10min. 2 different staff came into my room to tell me again I had to leave: I was getting dressed and they just opened my hotel room, without even knocking. I was offered a public shower to take a shower before my flight: I went to take a shower there and it was a nightmare. The automatic light was switching off every 10 seconds and humidity was absolutely unbearable. Will never come back to this hotel and strongly recommend not to visit. Rooms were not up to standard as per cleanliness either. A/C dripping water all over the room

Good location, nice hotel from the outside, good size pool, good breakfast, nice staff. Animations etc good. The only problem we had was our room, we got given a room on the ground floor. There was no light, so very dark with a constant smell of moisture/humidity. The room was also not very clean upon arrival (cobwebs in every corner of the room) I would say they need to renovate the rooms to old for a 4 star hotel.

  • 1/5 Steffen K. 1 year ago on Google
You pay for the location close to some good party venues and the beach. But in no way is this a 4 star hotel and I would not recommend anyone paying almost 300 a night to stay here. Our room was old, mold everywhere in the shower and just smelled awful. Also, our AC was barely working given it must have been 20 years old. The technician was nice but told us that they can't exchange it and we should just leave it running so it cools down the room. Room cleaning barley exists... Also if you want to sleep before 1.30, good luck as the outdoor bar keeps playing loud music! Oh and let's not forget everyone reserving the sunbeds at sunlight with their towels (something that in a good hotel is actually forbidden and towels are removed). We were here on a stag due so it was fine but I would not come here with my family nor would I recommend anyone this hotel especially for this price.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Food was good, good facilities, very friendly staff. Vicky and Louis from the entertainment was so fun to do the games in the day with, including darts, ping pong, French boules etc. they were always so full of joy! Beach only just out of a gate at the back of the hotel so this was really nice and famous clubs just down the road. Right near the airport too! noise from the planes didn’t bother me either. I’d recommend this hotel!!
