Good tour to start your day in Sant Sadurní. Be sure to book ahead of time. I recommend doing around 11 or 11:30 AM. The tour takes about an hour and you finish with tasting two different cavas. It’s right behind the train station so it makes an excellent first stop!

We visited Freixenet Cava for the winery tour on 13/09/2023. Our guide (Ria) was excellent and very informative. We'd recommend the tour and the cava tasting afterwards was also informative and enjoyable. We also stayed to sample some tapas and of course more cava on the terrace. We are a couple from the UK and arrived at the winery by train from Barcelona.

The tour is quite regular. You can see the "museum" part and hear the story. The tour is about 50 mins. After they serve you 2 glasses of Cava like in every tour in the area. The outside terrace for tasting the Cava is quite warm in summer. Attention, there is no train ride in the cellar neither can you see the production line. Compared to this one the competitors tour of A.C. definitely wins.

Great tour and tasting experience at Freixenet. Our tour guide nailed it: she managed to maintain the attention during the whole tour. She was really well prepared and presented the history of Freixenet in a very entertaining way. The cavas were also exquisite. A must-go place for wine lovers.

Freixenet The Cava distillery is a sparkling gem nestled in the heart of Catalonia's wine country. From the moment you step onto the picturesque estate, you're transported into a world of exquisite taste and tradition. The vineyards themselves are a sight to behold, stretching out like a patchwork quilt of emerald green under the Spanish sun. The meticulous care given to the grapes is evident in every glass of their Cava, which boasts a perfect balance of crispness and complexity. The tour of the distillery is a journey through time and craftsmanship, where you'll witness the artistry of Cava-making passed down through generations. The expert guides take you behind the scenes, sharing the secrets of Freixenet's signature blends and the meticulous process that transforms grapes into liquid gold. Tasting their Cava is a revelation. Each sip is a symphony of flavors, from the delicate notes of green apple and pear to the enchanting hints of toasted almonds and citrus. Whether you're a novice or a seasoned wine enthusiast, the tasting experience at Freixenet will leave you enchanted. The distillery's commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility is commendable, making your visit not only a sensory delight but an ethically conscious one. Freixenet The Cava distillery is a place where time-honored tradition meets modern excellence. It's a must-visit for anyone seeking an unforgettable journey through the world of sparkling wine. Raise your glass to Freixenet, where every bubble tells a story of passion and perfection. Cheers to an exceptional Cava experience!

I can also recommend the guided visit. Our guide, Martina, did a great job and we were very happy that we could try some more Cavas afterwards.

Freixenet winery is an easy walk from the train station and a great way to get out of Barcelona and see some of the Penedes region, famous for making wine and Cava. The tour, offered in several languages, takes you deep down into some of the the tunnels or caves where the Cava is kept in barrels and then bottled for the second fermentation - millions of bottles are exported around the world. Visitors are given a history of the winery and the Ferrer family. You also learn how champagne is made in the traditional method. The tour price includes a wine and Cava tasting in the garden.

Took a tour via NCL, about 30 minute bus ride. Nice tour thru facility, some steep stairs to reach lower level, around 65 feet below ground. Tour includes 1 sample...1....1...but you can purchase various products from upstairs bar, 2 euro for a glass. Tour had stated that it includes a train ride but we never saw one.
