Amazing local restaurant with great staff and dog friendly. Camilla and the owner are super friendly and welcoming. The food is affordable and tasty. Really has a nice chilled out vibe. We will be coming back again and again 🐶😍

The sphere was homely with both tourists and locals. The menu had a lot of local option and the food was good. However a little expensive based on the amount and quality. We had the black rice with cuddle fish and pork ribs. The chef even included an additional surprise, a marisco topping. That was nice! The staff was friendly and helpful but the process of ordering dessert, paying the meal was absurdly slow. The staff was extremely sorry and we had a round on the house. For that we are thankful.

Amazing service from the 2 girls! Very friendly and helpful with explain some of the Spanish dishes we were unfamiliar with. Food was really yum and the best octopus I’ve had in a long time as it was soft and no chewy like most places. Only gripe with the food is the serving sizes are quite small but also not expensive so can’t complain to much. Would still go back as it was a great night in a very homely style restaurant.

Definitely one of the best meals we had in Barcelona. Small, but has a nice eating area on the street. Just off the beaten path enough to enjoy without crazy activity or traffic. Service and food (and wine) were OUTSTANDING! So sad they are closed on Sundays as we are leaving early on Monday.

We stumbled on La Taverneta Barcelona during a recent trip and cannot speak highly enough for the food. We ended up going back here several times in a few days. All of the tapas were amazing and probably the best frappe I've ever had.

We read very good reviews and decided to sit at this restaurant. Unfortunately we were very disappointed by the food. Since other people liked it so much I must assume that it was far from the tastes we like, or maybe there was a new or a substitute Chef in the Kitchen or major changes were made on the menu. I think it was probably the first. The waitress was very kind and helpful and did her best to please us. It was very hot at midday, although there are umbrellas for the sun. Thus the three stars for the atmosphere. Unfortunately there was no shade from trees or the buildings at that hour. The best visiting hours for that area in the summer are definitely later when it is cooler. The waitress did her best though, re-orienting and moving around the umbrella. She even brought us a second table so that we would be more comfortable! My daughter and I had the chicken. The portion was quite small and it was served without anything on the side, like rice, potatoes, or salad. It has some pieces of green peppers which were bitter and weird in taste. We didn't like them so we didn't eat them, although we both love green peppers. I ate about half of my chicken and didn't want to finish it since I didn't like it. My daughter hardly ate a couple of pieces. The price of the dish was rather expensive for the portion offered and the end result. Three of us tasted it and found it on the low end of salt and spices, which made it plain and boring without much of a taste. I tried my husband's risotto, which was mid-range ok, but it was quite salty-you could feel the grains of salt, which made a crunchy noise when you chewed, and it was a bit low on the spices. The worst dish was the pork ribs. The meet was very hard and full of fat and tiny bones , which made it impossible to chew. It was a tapas dish but my son got it as a main dish. He was unable to eat it. He kept spitting out small pieces of bones and fat and he loves ribs. There was barely any BBQ sauce on the ribs. None of us liked it. The waitress asked if we did not like the food because we had so many leftovers. She was very empathetic and felt bad when we told her we didn't ike it, especially the ribs, She was very polite and didn't charge us for the ribs, which was extremely nice of her, although she really didn't have to do it. The tapas were decent but nothing special. Overall, the waitress was very nice and tried to please us but the food was not to our taste or expectations. It was expensive for the quantity and the end result. We had to go elsewhere to eat a couple of hours later, since our teenage kids had hardly eaten anything, even though they are not picky eaters and like a variety of different foods and international cuisines.

Great little place with a local atmosphere. Prices are much more reasonable than those around the cathedral. Service was great and even offered gluten free options, even gluten free bread for pan con tomate!

Great spot with amazing service. All the staff were super even though we were there close to closing time. We had several dishes, the octopus was phenomenal, the fried sardines were great, the seafood paella was exquisite, and the mushroom risotto was fantastic and flavourful.

Came to this restaurant randomly after walking round and were extremely pleased with both service and food. Staff were very friendly and it was some of the nicest tapas we had whilst in Barcelona!! Would definitely recommend. Was lovely to sit outside too.

Very delectable Mediterranean cuisine that is affordable. Recommend trying the smoked sardine dish. Restaurant is easy to find. Located behind citadine at la ramblas and look for the decathlon store

We ordered a lot of tapas and two dishes. Most of it was just avagage. Maybe I did set my expectations too high for tapas in Barcelona for a restaurant with a 4. 5 stars. In our opinions the food was not 4.5 but the atmosphere was nice. After we got our table the restaurant got full within seconds. It affected the waiting time. But staff was informative and gave us a free snack for waiting and a free shoot at the end of the meal. So top score on service and atmosphere just wished a little more from the food. Menu sounds good though.

In a side street between las ramblas y la Avenida de portal Del Ángel is this gem of a restaurant in central Barcelona. There is nice interior seating but the outside tables in the street are the way to go. The service is excellent, the waitress recommended an excellent wine and helped out with our order. Tonight we stick to tapas and really everything we ordered was top notch. We ordered the gambas (excellent), the boquerones (very fresh), the mushrooms in garlic sauce (possibly the best dish ), a dish of roasted eggplant, roasted peppers. We also had the piquillo peppers. All were amazing and large portion. We also tired the torta de queso and loved it. When you ask for the bill you get what they call lagniappe in Louisiana (a little present) in this case it’s an after dinner drink, I had limóncelo and the wife had grappa. Delicious. So great food , top notch service in a great ambiance. Can’t ask for more.

Great area with an intimate setting. All fresh food and a great staff team. The food takes time to prepare so don’t be in a hurry.

Brilliant food served here. Had the pluma which sounds expensive for 40€ but it was worth it. Comes with 3 beef steaks which are cooked to perfection and enough to serve 2 people. probably the best thing on the menu, much better than a standard paella. I also recommend the perron peppers which are also higher quality than what's out there and maybe the prawns. 100% recommend the place!

Was looking for something that looked populated by locals. Found this while bobbing and weaving. Was bang on! Small, quant, delicious wine and friendly service. Enjoyed everything I ate. Will definitely return when looking for something less overrun. Bonus: they serve Paella for one. Didn’t have it, but it looked tasty and NOT the usual dried out, stuck-to-the-pan, day-old BLAH.
