Delicious meal with very friendly staff and decently priced! There are a lot of gimmicky places in the area but this was well worth it. Staff was very friendly and recommended some great dishes. Best paella we’ve had in Barcelona! Try and make a reservation! We came in at 7 on a weeknight and luckily were able to be seated, but others who came later were turned away.

That restaurant really deserves 5 stars! Don’t forget to book a table because it’s not so easy to find a free one even during lunch time. Food & wine are simply delicious! The staff is very professional. Desserts are amazing!

I would give 4.5 stars. Really no atmosphere, looks like a lot of locals visit here as the waiter knew everyone who came in. The waiter was very knowledgeable and the PAELLA! Wow! Love a good squid ink paella and love that they do single portions here because we ordered two and gave us a chance to try the other.

It was a really nice experience. The paella tasted amazing (we took the seafood one), it made us both fall in love with the dish again. The employees are really kind which wasn't always the case in Barcelona during this weekend. We didn't have to wait to get the table. So definitely a 5/5 experience.

My husband and I had a big lunch here on our last day in Barcelona. We made reservations a few days in advance (it was off season, so easy to get them). The staff were kind and provided great service. For the food, I have to say this is one of my favorite meals in Barcelona. That’s saying a lot because everything we ate in town was excellent (because Spain). We started with a burrata salad and calamari and then had the pork belly and razor clam paella. Everything was excellent! We had a bottle of a delicious Penedes white wine to go with it and we also tried Baines (cherry liquor from Basque region) with our delicious chocolate ganache dessert. I am a person who loves good food, but I don’t usually take any photos. In this case, I was compelled to take a pic of my first paella in Spain! Make your way out to Barceloneta and have some great food!

Food 4.5 ⭐️, Service 3 ⭐️. The seafood pallea was quite good. Shrimp and mussels were very tasty but an absolute pain to clean from their shells. Really enjoyed the mixed marinated olives as a starter - they have a unique marinade with what seemed like red peppers and chilli. Service was quite cold and rude, especially the host who was greeting new arrivals. We dined without a reservation and snagged the last available spot right up at the bar by the exit — everyone who came after us without a reservation was essentially shoo’d out quite briskly. If you’re coming by on a busy day definitely recommend a reservation so you don’t have to deal with that.

Showed up with no reservation on a Saturday night and staff were busy but managed to find a spot for us. Food was excellent- really good paella and gazpacho.

I went on a Tuesday afternoon for lunch. The restaurant is clean and nice. It’s big as well (it has two stories). We ate seafood paella and croquetas. The presentation was good, the food was ok and the servers were attentive. Good local restaurant in La Barceloneta.

The tapas are simply the best. The bomba and octopus are absolute delicious. Their rice dishes are their flagship food, however I found it a bit too salty to be able to finish all of them, despite them being yummy.

This is la mar saladas sister restaurant The rices are amazing. We also had the spicy calamari criquets, and the ham croquettes both great. Mussels alright I wouldn’t order them again, some good coke white Verdejo wine and vermouth etc Try or ask to sit downstairs, it’s prettier and more chilled, upstairs unfortunately it’s too loud windows are shut, and a bit claustrophobic

Restaurant a bit hidden in Barceloneta quarter not far from the beach. Service was nice, the menu is quite fancy, I decided to take the octopus. It was well cooked and well served nevertheless I was a bit disappointed to have just one piece of it for that price, but still enjoyed it :) The desert was promising but instead of à "raspberry foam" as stated on the menu It was whipped cream. The fat in the cream plus the mango curd totally unbalances the dessert which makes it sickening. Just an espuma to bring the taste and acidity of the raspberry would have been perfect and lighter. Still a nice place to visit who can improve to have a kitchen with the ambitions of its menu

Had to try their garlic, crab and fish paella.. something different and it surprised me. Bursting with flavour and I would order it again. Good ambience, nice sangria and overall friendly staff. Highly recommended

This place is just wonderful - came on Friday lunchtime and just about managed to get in, would recommend coming early or making a reservation. Had the daily specials menu - salad, baked rice and cream pastry dessert and a drink for around €20. The squid, garlic and lobster rice was one of the best things I have ever ate, absolutely spectacular.

Absolutely lovely restaurant. The atmosphere was amazing, the service kind and personal and the food to die for. The paella is far better than anything you could get at la Rambla. The local beer is delicious.

Had a lovely meal here. The staff were very friendly and accommodating even though I only speak English. The vibe in the place is really nice and so is the food. Try a dessert, go on treat yourself.

Fantastic food! We loved their Fideua. It was unique and the mushrooms were so good. The snails dish and the mussels dish were really well seasoned and so tasty as well. They definitely gave us a taste of the standard Catalonia food with a modern take and we really enjoyed it. Note that just like most paella dishes, Fideua requires a minimum of 2 portions per order. Highly recommend trying out their food.

Amazing place to eat traditional tapas, paella, and fideuà. Everything was delicious, great quality, very nice personnel. Not too busy at opening time in the evening (7 pm, recommended), but better to give a quick call and make a reservation to be sure.
