They cook for you. Very high quality meats. That pineapple, grilled cheese, pork belly combo was *chef's kiss*

SO GOOD! I didn’t get any pictures of the cooked product unfortunately, we were already devouring it with our eyes. The ambiance of this restaurant has a cozy and lowkey vibe, I like that! Servers were super friendly, great tasting beer. The pork belly was so savory, paired well with all the sides! Don’t be fooled. Any of the combos is good for up to 3 people! Food 4/5 Service 4/5 Atmosphere 5/5 Cost: Fair Used to be 5 stars but the last time I went, they didn’t have the dry age meat which that was what made them special. Now, it’s become just another kbbq. Not bad but not exceptional.

Service was amazing, these guys hustle to cook your dish to perfection! However food was lacking. The beef was overcooked, chewy and had a weird funky smell. The pork belly was nice and tender but that's about it. Felt like it wasn't worth the $67 combo set, feels like it's missing something. Simple menu so we figured the quality would be worthwhile.

The meat here was really below quality. I don’t understand how they have such high ratings. If I would to order something again, it would be the ribeye but for 49$ is literally crazy. I could get the same exact piece from Stater Bros for half that price. Their skirt meat is inedible from being so chewy and tough. Brisket is cut into spaghetti strips.. we also we weren’t finished order and they dropped off the check. smh I would never come back.

Food was great, meat quality is phenomenal, order the risotto you won’t regret it. The service on the other hand? I get that you want to churn and burn customers to maximize your profits, but at what cost? Reducing the experience of your paying patrons? TLDR: we were rushed into leaving the restaurant. Even before we had finished our food/drinks, the bill was dropped off at our table - a great way to ruin the appetite. We were then asked to leave quite literally the moment we paid and put down our cups and utensils, because there were other people waiting for a table. Poor experience where all 8 of us left with a bitter taste in our mouths even though the food was delicious. Yeah it’s cool to make more money, but at the cost of churning customers like it’s a fast food restaurant or something? We will unfortunately not be back.

The meat quality, the side dishes, the service,..they were all great. I actually did not have to wait too long to get seated. I chose combo B which was more than enough for 2 people. I love the pork shoulder the most. The combined cheese and mushroom also went really well with the meat. Also, their onion kimchi is on point, so so yummy. The staff are nice and kind that they took care of the meat from the beginning to end.

There was a waiting list because I visited on Friday night, but it didn’t take too long to get in. Even if it took longer, it would have been still worth it. One of my coworkers recommended this place and it was the best kbbq I’ve ever had in the US. The quality of the meat was really fresh and the staffs cooked for my group non-stop. Banchans were mainly pickles but paired really well with the meats. I will definitely come back here!

Sookdal is one of the best kbbq spots for Pork Belly. This has got to be the closest to Korea I have had so far in OC. 5/5 spot forsure

There was a line when we got there but we still got in relatively quickly. Great, yummy, quality pork. All the side dishes were really good too. Had a question about the meat and realized that not all the servers are fluent in English but that's not a problem. One of them was even able to smile through our meal while serving us and cooking for us which was impressive. But the music was super loud and we got "don't linger, get out after you're done eating" vibes even though there wasn't a line and it wasn't that busy anymore. But overall, would come again.

All these sauces match very well with the meat and enrich the taste of Korean BBQ. This restaurant surely is one of the best K-BBQ in Orange County.

Fantastic kbbq. Meat looked and tasted very high quality. Side sauces and side pickles were a departure from the usual cheap kbbq. Friendly and attentive staff. Glad we took a chance on a new spot, will definitely be coming back again.

I was in the midst of raving over the quality of the sides, when the meat came out and blew my mind. Then my partner showed me a note that this meat had been aged 11 days. Damn. So good.

4 person group. Ordered combo A ($69), which was pork belly and brisket with 2 complementary stews and 4 pieces of cheese. Good service helped cooked the meat. Side dishes of pickled radish, daikon (idk), and cucumber with kimichi and salad. Portions were good enough for lunch but still have room to eat more like deserts.

We ordered the combo that has pork belly + brisket. They do have amazingly quality of pork belly. Top notch. And even their kimchi soup that comes along w the combo is beyond what I’ve had from any other kbbq place. But two things to point out here are… music is freaking LOUD. Way tooooo loud. And second, since they want to create this premium style of dining (and even giving you a piece of note about their “wet age pork belly spec”), they probably can replace brisket with something slightly better in this combo.

Hands down for the delicious aged pork BBQ. I was skeptical at first when it came to pork as I am afraid of the strong pork smell. But no, the meat tasted very good. Side dishes were great, too. Great service. The well-trained staff will cook the meat to the perfection. Despite of great food and services. There are few minus points for the place. First, the floor was a bit slippery and could be dangerous if you don't watch your step. Second, you may want to move your seat further from the stove while they're grilling as the hot boiling fat/oil can hit your skin and clothes. Third, the ventilation was weak and not able to suck the smoke well. And lastly, the lighting seemed to be dimmed to the lowest that made it hard to see sometimes. I hope they will make it brighter for people with poor eyesight :) Overall, this place offers delicious pork BBQ. I highly recommend and will come back.

Pleasantly surprised! Great service, great food. It's one of the best Korean pork BBQ spot we have been! Will visit again soon! We made another visit, and we were even more satisfied with the service and the food!

All I can say is I enjoyed the experience, enjoyed the food and enjoyed the service. They cook the meat for you, the pork belly and the neck were outrageously excellent. Definitely worth a detour if you are passing nearby.

I love this place. Service and the wait is a hit or miss but the food quality is always on point. The pork belly, brisket and ribeye delicious There kimchi soup, bean sprouts and green onion salad sounds simple but so flavorful

Amazing quality, staff are very kind and professionally treats customers. And over all, many different kinds of pickles goes very well with the meat. Strongly recommend this place for korean bbq.
