Followed the triple D - Guy Fiery recommendation and tried the PBLT... it was freshly made.. highly recommended and a star of the menu.. hence we ordered. We loved it.. along with their huge and crispy onion rings which were freshly made. Portion size was good enough for two. Loved the service that was offered and the ambience was nice. Though the place was small but the place is comfortable and stands out amongst many other Deli's within the vicinity.

Great food at a fair price. Fries are the star. Felt like I was back in a New York deli. Pastrami Reuben was delicious. Service was outstanding! Very clean and busy.

Amazing Deli with great meat and pastrami sandwiches. Food: One word - Amazing Service: Friendly no fuzz diner service (no table service) Ambiance: Deli flair with a few sit in tables. Price: Not cheap but the food is definitely worth it. Conclusion: Absolutely worth a visit, you won't regret it.

I ordered one half pastrami Reuben and one half corned beef Reuben. Never been before, maybe this is how they do it- but I was given two sandwiches. Or what I would call four half sandwiches. Flavor was good. Execution flawless- would just be better if they made their own meats. Definitely worth a try!

Delish pastrami! Good fast service! Tight on room

First time at Nortons and it definitely won't be my last. We did first come over for the pastrami sandwich, but being a big steak sandwich fan, I ordered the East Coast Philly and it was delicious! Will definitely try the pastrami next time I go past Santa Barbara. Although it's a nice place, 4 Stars due to limited seating pandemic or not.

Stopped downtown after having to pick up parts, and came across a place that looked familiar. Not only did I remember that my friends from SB say to go to Norton's, but I remember seeing them on DDD. Don't worry, their sign will remind you. Got the signature pastrami w/ onion rings and a drink. With a 15% tip, it came out to ~$26. Sandwich was fire. Crispy bread. Great pastrami, the grilled onions. Woo! The onion rings were crispy and fresh. Definitely worth a try. I would probably order just a sandwich next time to make the value more worth it. $15 isn't bad for a sandwich, but $26 is a little high for me. I still do have to try the fries. But this place is definitely a bookmark and a re-visit if in the area.

Small but good sandwich shop. Very friendly staffs and really fast services. Must try pastrami urban sandwich with onion rings.

Had the pastrami reuben sandwich. Very good reuben sandwich, definitely recommend. Three tables inside that can seat six per table. Three counter seats and one table for 3 outside. Sandwich a bit pricey at $15.63, total with tax $17. Didn't try any sides, soda fountain available. Very close to main walking area of Santa Barbara with many shops. I went just before 11:00 AM on a Friday, no wait.

Still one of the best pastrami places I have ever visited. Came back to visit UCSB after graduation and it’s been 6 years. This is still the best pastrami you can get anywhere (I live on the east coast, and nothing comes close). Philippe was super friendly and kept the place up to its original standards. Can’t wait to come back here!

Excellent pastrami here. The seating is very limited. It's perfect if you're a single grabbing a quick lunch, but if you're feeding a group, order your food to go and walk to one of the many nearby parks.

What can I say? Only the BEST sandwiches! I would recommend not going during peak lunchtime. There is not a lot of seating. Anytime takeout! Your tummy will love ❤️ you!

Small sandwich shop popular for lunch time. Sandwiches are good. The only thing is that the shop is really small and a hobo customer with likewise big black dog will occupy the middle of the store so no way you can order nor sit down. You won't be able to even reach the cashier to place an order. Essentially. the shop has tables to take only 20 customers with 6 seats rendered unusable during lunch because of the hobo. Pastrami and steaks are good through, and the Owner is nice.

Small place not alot of sitting. Had a new york pastrami and it was delicious. Only complaint was bread started to get soggy quick but best pastrami I've ever had. Flavor was great. Next time I'm in area I will stop to have another

This place always satisfies my pastrami cravings! Add in the delicious potato salad and perfectly fizzy sodas (why is it so hard to find the right amount of fizz in fountain soda?!) - this girl's is happy! Hint: Use the lot behind the restaurant for parking.

nice little hole in the wall, well worth it, the order was for the NYC sandwich, pastrami was grilled to perfection, juicy and moist, also the pastrami chili cheese fries was delicious and mouth watering, great place to stop for lunch on the drive to LA

Pastrami and corned beef sandwiches were incredible. I’ve been to many a deli with this same type of style sandwich. At Norton’s the onions are grilled to perfection. The rye bread is buttery and toasty. Pastrami and corn beef melt in your mouth. Coleslaw could have used some more sauce or salt, but it was decent.

Absolutely delicious rueben sandwich!! Coleslaw is amazing too....not too dry.

It’s real simple… just get Mom’s PLT with fries on the side and you’ll be happy. I could down a PLT from Norton’s everyday if health wasn’t a thing. Throw some mustard in that sandwich too… sooo good!

the cashier kelly was very rude. she yelled at my friend and made a weight comment after she ordered a large sandwhich. the service was also terrible, they do not answer the phone and i called 3 times. i ordered a turkey sandwich and the food was not good, like how hard is it to mess up a turkey sandwhich. overall my experience was awful and kelly should not work in costumer service since clearly she doesn’t know how to talk to costumers.

I liked it. Because of my after throat cancer treatment the bread was too dry for me to swallow easily but that didn't stop my enjoyment. Loved the place. I went there because I saw they'd been on diners drive ins and dives. No disappointment!

Had an absolutely fabulous pastrami Reuben. The sandwich was just perfect and honestly the only downside was I tried eating it too fast. When the smell tempts you so much that you are willing to burn your mouth on a freshly cooked sandwich it is a good sign. It might even be better if I had the willpower to wait for it to cool down. Also it's just a small thing but they have really good pickles and I think that counts for something. My girlfriend at the salad and thought it went really well.

Norton's is a small place and only allows one customer in at a time to order, even so, order was placed and recieved quickly. You can't go wrong with the pastrami or the turkey club. So delicious.

Great pastrami Reuben sandwich. Prompt service. We just best a rush for lunch. Small inside so get take out or thou may need to wait for a table

Pastrami was good, ham sandwich was really good. The pastrami is nice with a crispy edge. Not too much thousand island dressing on the sandwich and a perfect amount of sauerkraut. The ham sandwich has cole slaw and a good chipotle mayo. It wasn't crowded around 2pm.

Triple d recommended and finally got to try this place out and it has great pastrami. The moms PLT is very original and the chipotle mayo is top notch. We also ordered the chicken salad, corned beef sandwhich and pastrami reuben sandwhich, all were good. Friendly owner too. Worth checking out.

Saw this place on the food channel. Had to try it because I love pastrami. It's was excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. Most wait outside and it's a small place with few tables, but we got one and felt safe with the distance they had between customers.

I should've taken a picture. This place is reaaally good. The french dip and onion rings. Wow, to the Onion Rings. The Rings, batter was delicious. I wouldn't have mind having a bag of fried batter, it was that good. Lol!! They do not take phone orders, when you go in to order they make everything right there. You will not have fries that have been sitting around for who knows how long. Highly recommend!
