Good lighting / great ambience. Performers on this particular night left a little to be desired, but were still solid entertainment. I think what was lacking was more enthusiasm from the audience. Definitely a worthwhile stop on State Street and I’m looking forward to checking out more artists in the future. Excellent and attentive service from the wait staff!!! The French Margarita was delicious!

Absolutely no complaints!! Staff is amazing, music is great, and drinks are great. If you pass by you should def stop. Jason plays amazing music and And Ariel is phenominal. Bottled beer are about $8. Cheers

Loved the place, and loved the music, but each performer had their own vibe. The first one we heard had the entire place rocking- and he was dancing on the piano! The second- beautiful music, but she really didn't have a strong beat for dancing. My biggest issue, was that later in the night, the more it turned into a "women's" bar. Nothing huge, but I was pulled onto the dance floor pretty aggressively more than once. I finally left.

The servers were friendly, especially Gigi. She made me feel welcomed as it was my first time there. The crowd was fun during the sing-along. The bartenders made good cocktails. A good time. I will return.

Got online tickets for a comedy show that was postphoned the very same day because of weather conditions that weren't really present? The place was empty, no people, no music, no nothing, so we left. We come from Denmark, doesn't help me that they will have the show 2nd of March instead 😵 Refund is NOT easy on the webside though that's what they tell you in the email. 😠

We went to the Red Piano for a wedding rehearsal dinner after party. Great fun atmosphere. Right on the Santa Barbara pedestrian walk. Fun both inside and outside sidewalk seating.

Saw Jason Libs here for a friend's birthday. Great show, good drinks, lots of laughter, all the patrons were friendly and fun! Gigi makes the best cheesecake!

Talk about atmosphere! Gentlemen, this is a place you bring the ladies to. They will love all the singing and dancing. And, if you come with them, you will be singing and dancing too. I'm pretty sure it's mandatory. If that intimidates you a little, then tough it out or simply just don't go. This place is on lower state street across from institution ale and next door to james joyce. It's really good entertainment, enjoy yourself!!

Upon arriving to Santa Barbara I always stop here. I love that the staff welcomes and remembers me each time and has over the entire pandemic. I'm happy they have excellent live music and a great crowd. Thank you for what you do Red Piano! I'll be back as always!

Fun piano bar right on State Street. Great atmosphere. They do not serve food but I think you're allowed to bring food in with you from somewhere else if you wish to eat. The bartenders are very nice and Jason was our entertainer for this evening and he was fun and engaging. Definitely will be going back soon!

My favorite Monday night go to for jazzy blues live music! Gorgeous, sweet, ladies will serve you the most outstanding drinks. Dancing. Casual to a 3/4 length wool coat. It's cooler at night. Right on state st. Park in lot across street. Enjoy!!

We visited the Bar in october 23 and only wanted one drink. But the live music was fantastic. When Jason played some of your wishes, and we stayed one more day in Santa Barbara. Thank you for that perfect day! I wish we had such are bar and musicians in Munich/Germany

Your business is amazing for our community. So fun. What a great spot for a Friday night celebration after a long work week. And super fun to share with all the folks who come to visit our amazing town!! Owners… please stop training your commodity servers to grab a glass/drink when some orders a drink, even if it’s 1/2 full. Unless you want to offer a discount for half drank drinks. Unless you care nothing about a local crowd.

The drinks were yummy. The guy playing the piano was a whole vibe. The only thing missing were some like appetizers or something but it was so fun.

❤️❤️❤️This is by far the best mature party night in Santa Barbara. The music, musicians, and crowds are great. I love the locals and the worldwide tourists I meet weekly. I know because I'm there every Thursday for the hilarious weekly comedy shows. Two years in a row of comedy shows under the stars with only two weather related cancelations. That's how awesome Santa Barbara Comedy Nights is. ❤️❤️❤️

I have enjoyed coming to the Red Piano for the fantastic Monday night bands but had not been there since the pandemic. I went there last night and was treated very rudely by a male bartender or waiter in his 30's. I assumed you could still leave out the back door that was near where my car was parked. Instead I ended up trapped, locked out of the bar in the walled outdoor patio that was built since I was there. I knocked on the bar door to be let back in but no one could hear me. I then called the Red Piano and left a voicemail and also messaged a friend who was inside but she did not see the message. I had visions of sleeping outside in the cold all night if I could not find a way back in. I began to make noise with the door by pulling and pushing it so someone could hear I was out there. This person finally let me in and yelled at me, "Why are you trying to break down my door?!" and continued to berate me for going out the back door. He did not show a sign of sympathy for my plight! I also never got a response to my voicemail. I have to say, I have had many pleasant experiences at the bar but this one was pretty bad and it affected me.

My wife and I came here while we were on vacation in Santa Barbara and it was a wonderful spot to have a few drinks and enjoy the piano player I highly recommend it especially if you are on a date with your wife or your other...

Superb place to go with a crowd. Drinks are good. Normal prices. Big place compared to others. Guy who sings at the piano is great. He knows all the songs

Location is prime! I was here on the Saturday of the Old Spanish Days festival. Music was great! Drinks were pricey but at the same time, you pay for dining experience. It’s upscale, music and location so fair enough. Service from the waitress was dreadful. She didn’t even smile and her presence just made it awkward. I had a drink where she forgot and we reminded her a few times. She seemed annoyed like if we were telling a teenager to clean their room. 30 minutes later after everyone else got their drink I got mine, a French Margarita. No apology and no smile. She was very cold. We hated the service and went elsewhere. Out of principle, we tipped. But it was not easy.
