We were seated IMMEDIATELY outside but that’s what we wanted. I’d say my view was pretty decent except where they sat us was right by a side door that was kept open coming from inside. No matter. The view was great for us both. The margarita…..I’m from Texas. It’s a no for me but my pasta salad was chefs kiss. The clam chowder…I liked it a lot because it wasn’t salty. I scooped up the bottom with the complimentary sourdough bread and butter. Food and service was great. Just cuz my margarita was yuk (probably the tequila that was used 👎🏼) still didn’t sway my rating. Then afterwards, you can walk it off on the pier or hop onto the beach. It was a bit too cold for us.

I would definitely make a reservation for this place. We went on a Monday and it was pretty packed. The staff are really friendly. We sat at the bar but our server/bartender was phenomenal. I wish I remembered his name but he was an older gentlemen and had a mustache and maybe a beard too, worked upstairs. We ordered the sesame crusted ahi tuna and the local sea bass, both were excellent. You also can’t beat the view!

Excellent, fresh seafood at very reasonable prices! We didn't have a reservation, so had to wait a little over an hour for a table, but oh boy are we glad we did. We had fresh oysters, which were delicious. Clam chowder also very good. I had the the best Cioppino I have ever tasted, and my wife got Halibut, which was also super fresh and delicious. Our son got a burger, which was also spot on. Service was fast and attentive. Will definitely try to make it back here next time we're in the area. A+

Went here on Sunday around 4 pm. It was quite pack as all tables were seated. Waited for 10 mins. Service was fast and the food came out delicious. We ordered the Blackened Sea Bass, Seafood Pasta and fried calamari. The side clam chowder might be the best I ever had. All the ingredients tasted fresh. Will definitely come back in the future if we come visit Santa Barbara again.

Highly recommend the food here!! Between the scallops and the fish & chips, both were made perfectly. Clam chowder is some of the best I've ever had. Oyster shots were an interesting mix, but I'd recommend trying it at least once! Our waitress was very kind and attentive. All around positive experience and will definitely recommend and come back here. 😊

Amazing lunch in Santa Barbara at this classic place. No reservations but plenty of seating. We sat upstairs in the restaurant but it was raining and cold. Next time would love to eat overlooking for harbor downstairs. Best Steamed Clams ever! Ordered Fish’s & Chips and cooked perfect! We had a relaxing walk after lunch on the ocean wall and around the boat harbor. Plenty of parking and a classic must try restaurant in Santa Barbara.

I'm coming back for the nice bartenders, gorgeous view, and the shrimp cocktails! It's also pretty affordable. We got the cold sample platter which was good but the cocktail was the best. Also the cup of chowder was awesome and so was the Mai Tai! I really liked this spot and the bartenders could tell. Those oyster shooters were :chefs kiss:

This is the GO TO seafood restaurant in Santa Barbara. Expect to wait a few hours to get a table on weekends. The restaurant is first come first serve. Once you are seated, you are serviced very fast because the restaurant needs to turn tables and seat everyone on the waitlist. This rushed service was not ideal for us, since we didn’t get to fully enjoy our meal and conversation. This probably the same reason why they don’t serve dessert. Nevertheless, the food beats everything. Anything you order off of the menu is very fresh and tasty. My favorites are the fish and chips and the swordfish. Highly recommend.

Amazing views of the marina and Santa Barbara coastline paired with delicious bites and drinks makes for a great dining experience. I tried the clam chowder and swordfish and it was all delicious. However, I was especially impressed by the savory fish and chips. Everything was fresh and flavorful and the portion sizes were very generous.

This is a hidden jewel on the Santa Barbara coast. We have been coming here for the past 10 years and everything is CONSISTENTLY delicious. A 'MUST' when in Santa Barbara. I would have to list at least 10 items to mention my favorites. Tnank you Shawn and Asher for taking care of us this afternoon. ( The best seats are at the bar facing the pier!).

Excellent fresh seafood! We ordered steamed clams, mussels, oysters Rockefeller, swordfish and ahi tuna. Each dish was perfect. My husband is disabled and they happily set up a table on the boardwalk because he couldn't use the stairs. The staff was efficient, attentive and friendly.

My wife and I stopped by here after our Sunset Cruise tour around Santa Barbara. When we checked in, they said the wait was going to be around 30 minutes so we put our name down along with our phone number. They use Yelp waitlist to show you who's ahead of you. We got seated after like 30 minutes and got seated inside. The customer service we received here was amazing. They started off by giving us bread and then my wife ordered her Clam Chowder which was delicious. For our entrée, my wife went with their Shrimp Scampi and I went with their New York steak at medium rare with fries. I loved my steak, it was perfectly cooked to medium rare and had good seasoning. My wife loved her Shrimp Scampi as well because they give jumbo shrimp with the dish.

Great dinner experience. We had the Seabass and Salmon along with cups of clam chowder and fresh bread. Went during peak hours and only had to wait half an hour or so. Very good food and service!

You get beautiful views of the harbor but you definitely don’t come here for the best quality of food. We are on a road trip from Los Angeles, and this place showed up on every list in Santa Barbara. The truth is the food and alcohol is below average, but it’s a very popular place with the locals.

Delicious food with generous portion and great view of the Harbor. We liked everything we ordered from oyster shooters to clam chowder. The only downside was that the bread was a little stale. 10 out of 10 would go back again. Try their pilaf (rice) with your dishes. Apparently, their fried shrimp is also very good.

Enjoyed a bowl of clam chowder, clams with every spoon full! Then the Swordfish. Both were spectacular!! Julie was my server. Great service... they were so busy... she maintained excellent service.

It is a busy place so you will need to budget some time to wait or make a reservation after 8:30pm. The calamari was so fresh. Clams and oysters were good. Blackened seabass and Chippino were delicious. The service was great even though they were so busy. The vibe of the place is very chill and beautiful by the marina. If you are in Santa Barbara, this is a place to visit at least once a year. :)

Nice casual place with fresh seafood that is well prepared. Clam chowder was only warm but flavorful. Scallop plate was hot and accompanied by tarter and seafood sauce. Cole slaw is nicely dressed and crunchy. Complimentary sourdough bread is yummy. No dessert 🤷

We met a local gentleman who met his wife here 32 years ago and still go on regular date nights here and spends every anniversary together here. He raved about the fantastic calm chowder and seabass, and... he was not wrong. Ooooh my goodness, food is incredible!!! The service is amazing! The view is breath taking and the margaritas are STRONG! lol! This place is an absolute MUST in Santa Barbara. Enjoy the wonderful atmosphere, view and even better food! Can't wait to come back one day. X

They use the Yelp waitlist system when you check in at the front station, but I didn't notice if you can sign up by yourself or not. But it's nice to see where you are in line. Not a whole lot to see around the area if you're waiting, but they have a couple of bars (upstairs and downstairs). You can also eat at the bars, first come first serve. Started with a cup of clam chowder. Fairly good but nothing special. Dinner was blackened, Cajun-style Sea bass with rice and Cole slaw sides. Fish was moist but the blackened rub needed more salt or something. Came with drawn butter. The other meal was an appetizer but served for dinner: mussels. Nice serving size. The mussels were of a small variety, which is good! They tasted better and were more tender than the huge mussels. They came with a broth on the side. They also serve French bread with butter for the table. Nice touch. Waitress was very pleasant and attentive.

Brophy's is a staple when visiting Santa Barbara. The fish and chips were perfect as was the seafood salad. If you go, be prepared to wait for a table and possibly be in close quarters to the people sitting next to you. It is apart of the charm of this well established landmark

Friendly laid back mostly seafood restaurant. Great views of the harbor and Santa Barbara. You can't go wrong with their clam chowder. Friendly service and people all around.

Oysters on the half shell were amazing! We enjoyed them so much that we ended up ordering the Cold Combo as a meal. I wasn't a fan of the cucumber relish oysters but the rest was incredible. We also ordered a bowl of clam chowder - oh my!! Sooooo delicious! I will say that our server was the highlight of our dinner, she was spot on as a server and had the best personality. You could tell she really loved her job, be sure and ask for Taylor's section when you go! We sat outside and had a great view.
