Went here to see a band from LA play. The venue is easy to find. (It's on the 2nd floor) Security checks your ID and tickets as being let in to the venue. They separate the venue if you aren't allowed to drink you can still see the show which is great. The restaurant has very delicious food definitely worth a bite to eat if you are hungry. I don't drink but they do have a full bar and plenty of beers to choose from. The venue has great sound and plenty of room to dance around. Parking is around in the back and they had plenty available when I arrived. If I know someone playing here I'll come back.

I tested positive for COVID (despite being vaccinated and boosted) and even though I am feeling fine, I made the responsible decision to not attend a show at Soho I had purchased tickets to in advance. Unfortunately, their no refund policy encourages people who have tested positive to attend shows anyway, increasing the chance of spreading COVID, when cases are currently surging in Santa Barbara County with the highly contagious omicron variant. I understand that a no refund policy for event tickets may be standard in normal circumstances, but many, if not all, concert venues in town have adapted flexible and generous refund/exchange policies for obvious reasons in the current climate.

Amazing place for live music! They really know how to make the most out of a relatively small venue. The sound quality was exquisite! Beautifully equalized, all ranges were very clear. Cool video tech so you could still watch the stage from the bar in back and the outdoor seating. Great atmosphere. You can tell that they care about the experience if both the guests and the performers! Looking forward to the next time I'm there!

Was there earlier for the music more than anything, a young girl kindly let us know that in order to have a seat we had to consume $15 minimum each, which was fine. I ordered a salad with salmon, although simple it was sooo good. I was enjoying my food and listening to the music, not even half way through my salad, when I was approached by a young guy, I didn’t hear what he may have said but as I turned to him he had already left with my plate. He then came back, with a box which for a moment I thought was my salad in a to-go box and it was not it was an empty box for my friend. Needless to say, it ruined my experience, I was too embarrassed to say anything but it felt like a waste of $26.

Dilemma on how to rate, I could have given 1 to 5 stars. Excuse my long review to explain: If you order food, you get to sit near the stage and I'd give it 5 stars, great venue, fabulous performers. We had already eaten, so you're sat in the bar area at the back. Either watch proceedings on a TV screen ?!, or we sat in the front bar seats, where new arrivals and members of bands not on stage like to congregate and chat. To improve: move the erratic cash machine out of the area and move the first bar area loudspeakers forwards one beam so front bar area seats can hear even when people are talking. I'd go 3 star for bar area seating. A bigger concern came at the end of the evening. With 50 people in the bar, the outside lectern for taking money was moved inside and blocked one half of the main fire exit. A big no-no. I asked the bar tender to raise this to management, I trust this was inadvertent and will be addressed. Improvement suggestion: make clear on website that those dining get best seats. Then people can prebook, and the great bar will keep people happy and make more money.

Great service. Food has improved since last visit in 2021. I got a filet medium just like I asked. The music is all over the map. Owners book a wide variety which is cool. We saw Skunk Baxter. The entire experience was much improved. We will return when the next show pops up that fits our taste. So glad yhey rode out the pandemic snd are still in business. My favorite live venue in Santa Barbara.

Got to hear "Venice" last night for my first time. It won't be the last! SoHo is located in the most beautiful setting in the heart of Santa Barbara, and the stage is intimate and warm. Venice was totally amazing. I really don't think it could have been a better experience!

Been coming here for a long time. One of the few places you can see live music besides the SB Bowl. Not a lot of big big names, but definitely some great artists. Recently saw Katchafire there. They were really good. Lots of drunk and loaded people. I guess that's typical for concerts, but it was very apparent here. The music was way too loud though, when I walked out my ears were ringing and I thought, oh I've never hear that wavelength again. Wear earplugs if you're going to a show. I've never eaten there but the drinks are good.

it's a small place for a small group of performers, but that's the worst I can say about it. there is a small stage at one end - maybe 10 to 15 - and great music whenever they choose to perform. The space is long and narrow - the back half is pretty quiet. the whole place is on the end floor... enjoy!

What an amazing venue to watch some live music. Great setup and overall vibe. The staff was super cool and the talent they book is off the charts. Great sound and love the video monitors in the different sections of the bar.

My friends and I were in town and dined at a nearby restaurant. We were told SOHO is the place to go for live music. Luckily, we didn't need to pay a cover since the manager at the other restaurant escorted us. Great!!! We got a drink and waited for the show to start. We ended up leaving after a few minutes. It was just too crowded. Looks like a great spot, just not for me.

Great restaurant with bar & lounge. I got to see Suzzane Santo on her tour. The setting was very intimate with a small crowd but big enough for a great show! Next time I'll make some time to visit the area of Santa Barbara. Overall, great experience.

From out of the area. Came to check out live music. Opening band was Awesome. Overall experience was excellent. Super chill vibe in bar. Some sofas and cozy chairs away from the stage. Would return to check out more local music talent.

Soho Santa Barbara is an awesome place! The staff is always courteous. In the age where customer service has been kicked to the curb, Soho is heads above everyone in customer service. They serve you with grace, and style. They listen, and accommodate...they go beyond. It's always a treat for all of your senses at Soho Restaurant & Music in Santa Barbara. My favorite waitperson is Charlotte. She is amazing and lovely.
