I was craving good Mexican food and Los Arroyos was my fix. The house chips and salsa was a great starter. The Chile Rojo Burrito was superb! Service was great. Comfortable patio area with plentiful table umbrellas to enjoy a late afternoon lunch. Dogs are warmly welcomed on the west end of the patio section.

You may think you my photo is gross but it’s reality at it’s best, the aftermath of an absolute grindage. The ribs here are so good that I slapt myself with a little pinch to make sure I wasn’t dreaming.

Our favorite restaurant for Mexican food. We tried others but always come back here. Sit outside and enjoy a wonderful meal. This photo was from our recent wedding anniversary.

Unfortunately this is what is happening in our restaurants around the country. Nobody wants to work and those who are working have no social skills and are angry and the it out on paying customers. FIRE the hostess immediately! I believe her name was Katie. She was working on Tuesday 8/9/23 @ 7pm. You are going to loose customers. I'll never go back because of her. Rude, uneducated, angry young girl. She seemed pissed at the world. She never smiled at any customers and seemed like she didn't understand how to talk to people and look them in the eyes. She cleaned menus with a dirty Rag infront of everyone as we waited for 20 mins. No explanation why we were waiting with 90% of tables open and a reservation. As it got busy our waiter was slammed and dropped food off with no extra plates. So I grabbed them from the podium. She had the balls to come over to me and tell me that customers aren't allowed to do that. Obviously she has never worked in a restaurant or anywhere else. She needs to be fired or put in the back in kitchen. Happy to talk to a manager and give a better review. I feel bad when the waiter was great and food was good.

As I was headed down 101 South from Goleta during rush hour no less, I decided that rather than spend 25 minutes sitting in the car moving just inches every few minutes, it was best to get off the freeway and enjoy a leisurely dinner until traffic was flowing again. As a new arrival to the SB area, I opted for the first Mexican restaurant I spotted just off the freeway. The place is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Montecito on Coast Village Road. Parking was easy, hassle free and no meters! I slipped into a parking space right in front of Los Arroyos (1280 Coast Village Hiway). I was immediately greeted and seated at a lovely table (I chose to dine al fresco--it is Santa Barbara where the weather is beautiful, after all!). Camille was quick to get my order and before I could barely get started on the chips, my meal arrived. I ordered salmon enchiladas and while I am a salmon fan I have never tasted anything like what I just had. The sauce was creamy but not sickeningly rich; it was a a red-sauce base but didn't trigger heartburn. The salmon was fresh, cooked just right without being dry and overcooked, and it was topped with thin slices of avocado. In a word, it was otherworldly. Guacamole was equally appealing to the taste buds-- not your everyday, smashed up avocado with some generic Pico di gallo tossed in. Same with the salad--fresh, crispy and served with house Ranch. Los Arroyos takes Mexican food to a whole other level with their secret recipes. (I asked what was in their salsa and, true to chef culture, was politely informed it was proprietary). To top it all off, they have an impressive offering of wine, beer, and mixed drinks--Justin cab never disappoints! Definitely a 5-star dining experience across the board! I'll be back.

Post reopening after Montecito’s remodel, same manager and some of same staff. Must be a different chef on Sundays. Orders came super slow, overcooked and mixed up. Waitstaff argued over separate checks request, which makes minimal sense when one group of the six is 2 and the other is 4. Remodel looks great but hopefully Tony can get that kitchen operating properly and some waitstaff correction on separate check requests

This was the second time my daughter and I had eaten at Los Arroyos and it was just as delicious as the first time! She ordered the shrimp tacos & I ordered the salmon tacos. Both entrees included black beans served in a crisp corn tortilla "bowl" and a serving of Mexican rice. My daughter never liked black beans until she had them here. She loved them!! I had a good sized portion of salmon in each taco which was very tender and juicy. My daughter had a generous amount of shrimp in her tacos. The restaurant was very clean and the service was great. Our server was very attentive and friendly. The parking lot isn't very big as there are many shops located on the same street, but there's some parking in front of the restaurant. We'll definitely be back!

Food was very mid. Was excited to eat here because I’ve hear a lot about it. But I dine early in the evening on a Tuesday and it took a waiter 10mins to greet me after I have seated. Then the fresh lemonade I order was definitely not fresh it tasted like the Minute Maid you get out of the soda machine. Won’t recommend.

The staff were all very nice. However the food was mid. Especially for the price I don’t think it is worth traveling to. If you’re in the area it works as decent Mexican.

Had the salmon enchiladas, muy delisioso! This isn't "average" Mexican food- it's "next level" (or two!) above standard fare! Artistry! The place has a warm, authentic atmosphere, too. Stop in, if you're in Santa Barbara!

We were here for the weekend. Guests here were very friendly, as well as hosts! Our drinks are very good! It was a nice evening listening to Live Mariachi as we enjoyed our meal

Vert friendly staff. I loved their rice. I had fish and shrimp enchildas. Not a fan of their salsa. The restaurant athmosphere was very pleasant.

All was lovely here but the chips came out separately from the salsa and we had two servers and a waitress. This was a bit confusing. Patio dining with great heaters was great as I had my dog w us. I was able to order a side of cooked beef for her with no problems. Overall, we all enjoyed our time here and look forward to returning.

Best Mexican food in the state. Period. Truly tasty, Mexican authentic flavor. Service is just as one would expect from a real Mexican restaurant, and even the ambient music is proper for the venue.

The ribs were super dry, like if they cooked them and after warmed up or something, not good. Meat was ok, quesadillas with langusyones was average

Such a great place for dinner in close proximity to our hotel. It’s hard to find a good pozole but man if their red pozole didn’t hit the spot. So so good and the pork was so tender. You can tell they really know what they are doing. Also ordered the guacamole which was great, albeit the corn husk in the bottom was a bit annoying. Will definitely be back.

Err, I could just use one word. Brilliant. Small Mexican restaurant but big on food and service. Great menu choices and a good winelist. Best wine I've had so far in California. Service impeccable. Just go there, for all I know it maybe Harry and Meghan's local, they live around there.
