For over 30+ years of my dining experiences this has to be one of the top 10. Consistency great steaks and seafood. The service is wonderful, attentive and friendly. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a special occasion as well as frequent dining. Thanks to Chucks Steakhouse for over 50 years of serving the community.

Chuck's is a popular steakhouse in Santa Barbara. I had been once before for happy hour appetizers with friends but hadn't had a chance to stop for dinner until now. I ordered the steak and scallops, the steak was tender and delicious. The scallops dipped in garlic butter and wonderful! Her teriyaki chicken was tender and just as good as the steak. They have a small but decent salad bar, and their pumpernickel bread is some of the best I've had. They make their own croutons, and this night they were burnt. My rum and Coke was perfect, service was very good. Alert, friendly, and efficient. Pricey but in this case you do get what you pay for.

We were visiting Santa Barbara to see family and ate dinner here. We haven’t been here since the pandemic, and glad that they offered outdoor dining. Our server, Chad, was very friendly and excellent. They were very busy yet our server and other staff were attentive. We enjoyed our delicious salad, bread, and dinner. We’ve been over the years and highly recommend.

Their steak chef is terrible. Ordered a $40 t-Bone Medium rare, it came out well done, I asked for one actually Medium Rare. They sent out a second one totally rare and cold in the center. Rest of the food was nice and the staff were friendy, the chicken turned out nice, the chef just can't cook a steak to save his life.

I love chuck's! They have great food and the atmosphere is that dark traditional steak house feeling. It almost feels like you're transported back to hawaii. I had the ribeye. It was cooked well and super tasty. I enjoyed the sides and dessert. Don't forget the happy hour! They've recently remodeled the patio out in front. much nicer. great happy hour specials

15 years later and we came back to Chuck's! Still high quality food at a good price point. The scallops were like butter and the filet mignon was tender and melted in your mouth. Salad bar is great,I love the brown bread! We did have to slow the waitress down, so we could sit and talk over our Mai Tai 's before ordering. We will be back very soon! They have a great outdoor seating area with good heating!

We haven't been out in a long time. We Went to Chuck's and had Great service, delicious food, and friendly staff. The lobster and steak plate and it was yummy, love the teriyaki rice. The salad bar is amazing too. Our server was great and kept checking on us even though she was very busy. I highly recommend going here for dinner or drinks and apps. Relaxing atmosphere, beachy feel and theme.

Wow. I was greeted by welcoming staff who were honest and lively and was seated promptly in a nicely dark but lit room and in all honesty it was very relaxing. I had a beer while I awaited for my order. It was great to hear people enjoying their meals with family, giggles, silverware clanking on plates and waiters and guests coming and going like an orchestra of order and chaos. I could hear a distinct hand held heavy brass bell ringing when an order was ready, although I couldn't see such bell I could feel and hear it from afar, judging by the tone of the bell I was able to perceive the weight from afar. I was hungry upon arrival and the beer and ambiance made me feel at ease and hungrier. I could have waited much longer for my order as time was not the main component at play here. I suddenly realized that I was in no hurry to get my food on my table, because I could perceive that if you want a great meal, you have to wait on the chef and I could tell the chef was not stressed out as he took his time to get my steak to perfection. And I am grateful he took his time because outside of my own mother's kitchen, that is thee best steak I've ever had. I had my meal around 7 pm and it's now 10:51 pm and my mouth is still savoring the flavor of this great steak and pardon the forwardness but my mouth is still salivating. Ladies and gentlemen, please don't show up expecting a quick dinner, slow down and enjoy your company, the ambiance, the orchestral manoeuvres going on around you and enjoy a good wine or beer like I did and I pro.ise you that you won't be disappointed. I have a theory that if you're in a rush you will somehow ruin the taste of your meal and miss out on the experience of this special meal you're going to have. I had to tip generously and have word sent to the Chef of my gratitude for gifting me such a remarkable and unforgettable meal. Thanks to the great staff, you are doing a good thing here and please keep up the good work. I'll be bringing my family here soon. Good tidings and gratitude on my behalf to Outback Steak House I tip my hat off to you 🤠

Food is good but service is rude. I went a couple weeks ago and the 2 hostess out side where very rude. They told us that they could sit us but we would need to leave by 7 since they had another party coming in. That was fine but the way they approached us was very rude. A couple weeks later was my my bother in-laws bday. We called to make reservations and they told us that they could not do reservations for over 8 people. They told us to call back tomorrow and speak with Brad. So we did and they let us know that it was too short notice for a reservation like that. We had called yesterday and they were the one who Instructed us to call the day of the event. Anyways very snobby workers.

This long standing steak house is great in name only! Beyond being very dark and overpriced my filet mignon though tender, was absolutely tasteless as well we're the prawns. Don't waste your money or time.

Great food and atmosphere! My husband loved the steak and scallops. Pretty good salad bar with delicious bread!

All in all, an ok experience. The steaks were ok at best. Mine was under done a bit more than I'm used to. My wife ended up asking for steak sauce--which isn't a normal thing. The rice was interesting where I can't quite decide if I liked it or not. The salad bar was good, but had some odd options. The menu was very simple and presented on an empty bottle. The restaurant was very dark on the inside, but ok enough once you get used to it.

Very much enjoyed dining at Chuck's of Hawaii. The food was good, not what I was expecting but good and tastey. Salad bar was a fun treat. I haven't been around one of those in a long time! Expensive, but that's a given, known before dining there. Old fashioned dark interior, felt like old school Steak house restaurants, enjoyed that, too. Staff helpful and friendly. Would go back again sometime.

The salad bar and bread is very good. My steak is always cooked just the way I like it and everything always tastes great. The cocktails are also good.

We have going to chucks for over 40 years! Our favorite place to eat in Santa Barbara. Brian and Brad are the best. Great steaks and seafood. The best margaritas!

Definitely not in my list of best steaks I’ve ever had (contrary to what many told me). However, the amazing salad bar and crusty bread saved this from being a 3-star review. My medium-rare steak was more medium(-well). I think the ambience is special and the wait-staff is nice and accommodating. I’d go back to try something else other than steak (there are betters steaks in SB)
