I travel and stay at hotels 5 days out of the week for work. I like to be able to use the wifi for a lot of things but this hotels wifi is no better than a 56k dial up modem. Not only that the cell service there is also non existent. You can pick a router and in a minute you get booted off. This was in 3 different rooms located around the hotel. Also the power in our room went out twice because of a tripped breaker. Our company will definitely not be staying here evr again.

Very rude and aggressive night staff member when we had issues with lots of noise so no sleep. Β£135 a night for this was rubbish and they refused to give us even a 25% refund. 2 nights and about 2 hours of sleep we had. Arrogant staff. Tatty rooms. Breakfast area cramped. Worst place we have stayed for 25 years and more in USA.

I am not sure about the hotel room price in Santa Barbara but at the time this place was one of the affordable ones. It was clean and the service was good as a 2 star hotel. It has towel, soap club, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion. Coffee maker with green tea k cup and coffee but only decaf one!! Breakfast was just a quick grab and go ones! Oatmeal and serial, bananas and apple, coffee tea and muffins and some juices. I recommend this place just for an overnight stay or if you don’t need some fancy place.

The room was old, warm, and smelled musty. The bathroom window was open when we got in the room. The coffee pot is in the bathroom sink area where you are to get ready in the morning and there are only enough plug ins for two things. The towels were thin and two washcloths had holes in them, not to mention that there was long dark hair intertwined in the towels and washcloths. Location is quite far from the beach but I am sure you can find something around there worth going to. Parking is horrible and the spaces are not large vehicle friendly. There is one entrance/exit and all doors of the rooms face the parking lot. I will not be a return customer.

It was decent and quiet. I stayed in a two bedroom place. Furniture looked outdated and one of the tv’s did not work. The place definitely needs upgrades to catch up with the nicer hotels.

Our first impression was that the lodge is okay, but just too expensive. Over our stay we realized that the rooms are quite old and shabby. Our toilet had been clogged and ants were living in our room, as well. But really the biggest chutzpah happened after we left. They charged our credit card for no reason, even they had confirmed on check out balance is zero.

The kind of motel where you keep your shoes on at all times. Some kind of price hike over the weekend and there was very little left so had to pay nearly $600 for two nights here. Worth about $80/per night. Weird, dated rooms. We had an entire back room with twin beds that was kind of creepy. Didn’t want to touch anything in here. Other rooms were so loud and the breakfast was packaged garbage. Would not stay again

I'd say this is a hidden gem. Affordable yet everything worked and was clean. The fridge worked better than even Vegas fridges at the Luxor we've used lol. Well thought out and friendly staff. Our unit was quiet, good stay.

When we got to our room we undid the bed and found two stray hairs. It seems like they didn't change the sheets from the previous guest. We called the front desk and they apologized and sent housekeeping to turn down the room

would have been 5 stars but the breakfast made it 4 stars. Other than the breakfast the rooms are great, you feel save, the hot-tub is hot, clean and working (open from 9am to 10pm). Rooms are clean, nice and comfy. We were pleased to see fresh hygiene products for us to use as well. Breakfast consisted of apples, bananes, packed muffins and some instant meals. Something you would expect in an air plane, not a hotel. Still, I would come again since we had a great time with the hot tub, the nice rooms and the good location

Friendly Motel, cozy rooms, parking, pool and breakfast included. We slept very well & it was very quiet (2nd floor). No issues whatsoever. Considering that Santa Barbara is expensive value for money is good.

Not sure why these other reviews are not higher, but if you are looking for a budget hotel, then this place works great. Clean, nice staff, pool, quick breakfast and coffee. If you are looking for more amenities or higher maintenance clientele, then this may not be for you.

This is an average place. Kind of old. Its right on upper state. The room was not the best and I could easily hear my neighbors through the walls. I could also hear street noise on state street. Granted my room was facing the street. The staff was friendly and the amenities were basic. Its an ok value. Seems like prices are high even for the most basic of motels. I don't think I would stay here again.

Super clean and spacious rooms with very attentive and friendly staff. Lots of food options within walking distance, a dispensary across the street. Would definately recommend and stay here again

Traffic was light and we arrived an hour before check in. Super nice lady at the counter let us check in early. Great king bedroom for the value during busy Fiesta Spanish Days and the Rodeo. Super happy we decided to stay here and not spend two - three times as much further south on State Street.

People were friendly and helpful. Rooms were a little dated but clean and the bed was comfortable. Pool area was kept up. Good place to stay.

Good hotel.oversized furniture.a/c not strong enough. Fun extras like Keurig.machine and big closet and free breakfast. Downside is getting into parking lot.shallow and down hill.

Very comfortable beds, large rooms, and friendly service. Minuses: walls are very thin, and you can hear everything going on next room, including running shower or water in a sink. Likely we had quiet people next to us.

We had a pretty decent trip while staying at the sandpiper. The affordable rate is what got us to stay as everything was pretty expensive during our stay. The breakfast wasn't really worth it, we only went once. I'd recommend trying Chad's for breakfast and checking spices and vices across the street. My favorite part of the stay was the shower, great water pressure and super soft water. Our skin felt lovely after having a shower here.

Hotel is a little dated, wi-fi is terrible but the place is clean, inexpensive and the staff is nice. We really enjoyed our stay.

Price was perfect for 2 nights. Jacuzzi was amazing! The service was outstanding and everyone who worked there were so friendly and curtious. I will definitely go back. And the interior was nice and very clean

Only stayed 1 night. Affordable but the rooms really need renovation. The carpet is so gross and dirty.

Large rooms. Comfortable beds. Facilities are clean. Continental breakfast. Working vending machines with great options. Quite location. Located near shops, restaurants & convince stores. Staff is super helpful!

Stayed here for two nights and it was very pleasant. My main complaint is that the wifi wasn't the best, it was pretty slow so I had to go somewhere else for wifi. The walls were also very thin so I could hear everything that was going on outside or in the room next to me. Everything else about my stay was nice though, I would stay here again. For the price being on the low end, it was worth it.

I had the best stay at The Sandpiper Lodge!! The employees & manager at the front desk were extremely polite & helpful!! The rooms were nicely furnished and the beds super comfy. We had a great time at the pool too. The maids were very sweet and did a fantastic job at cleaning. I highly recommend anyone visiting Santa Barbara for business or pleasure to stay here, you definitely will not regret it! Competetive pricing for the rooms in other comparable hotels, but I would pick this one 10 out of 10 times!! 10 thumbs up!!!!

One of the worst motels I've ever stayed in. Carpet was filthy, furniture old and broken, decor from the 1960's. Complaints went nowhere. Try someplace else.

If you don't have high expectations, the Sandpiper Lodge motel is a good choice. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable and the staff friendly. Only very badly soundproofed rooms and the ancient furnishings can be criticized.

If you're looking for quiet, comfy, cosy place to stay for business or pleasure, I'd highly recommend staying at this location. There's lots of secure parking and guests are asked to place parking passes which are issued during check-in process. The parking pass must be placed on your vehicle's dash to prevent it from being towed by management. Their rooms feature modern amenities and their beds are quite comfy; well suited for an overnight, extended stay, or business trip. Also super quiet and low-key for those of you who prefer peace, tranquillity, and quietness after a rough day. My only issue was their wifi service which wasn't all that great. Their service staff are also super friendly and informative. Check them out. You won't regret it!

If you don't have high expectations, the Sandpiper Lodge is a good choice. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable and the staff friendly. Car enterence and parking lot are narrow.Room carpets need to replace Breakfast is light breakfast, but clean and tidy.
