Poorly staffed, rude customer service, the guy at the front desk was condescending and tried to justify overcharging me $30 for a car that was parked overnight. The rooms were small not accessible for disabled guests and there was no AC in the rooms. The included breakfast is microwaveable and not worth the price point of the place. I would not recommend staying here. Instead of being wrongly surcharged, invest that money into a quality stay where you won’t have to go through this. I ended up switching over to Mason’s Beach Inn, now that was worth it.

Arrived at 1pm, was told that the room would be ready after 2pm, before 4pm at the latest - and that they'd give me a call when it was ready. I proceeded to wait 3.5 hours before going back to the hotel lobby to ask, and they couldn't find the keys to my room (who still uses hard copy keys?!?!) The front desk rep (I felt bad for him, he seemed too new to be alone) called his manager who came, who then proceeded to tell me that this is normal to not be allowed into the room before the check in - except for the fact that HE WAS THE ONE THAT TOLD ME IT WOULD BE READY BETWEEN 2-4pm and that he'd "call me right when it is ready". I told him that it was already 4:30pm, and that if I checked out 30 minutes later, I'd get charged a fee, but them letting me in 30 minutes past my check in means nothing. The manager then tries yelling over me, when I explained that he said he was going to call me, and kept saying "the room wasn't ready!"...but I had actually been sitting next to the pool for the last hour, and the cleaning lady had finished my room at 2:30pm (it was right next to the pool, and I remember thinking "I wonder why we can't have that room if it's ready"...only for it to be the room they gave me). The lights don't all work, property and amenities are grossly outdated, the bed wasn't that comfortable, and there was EXCESSIVE noise/partying all night upstairs from us (which the front desk did nothing about). Save yourself a headache, don't stay here.

Stayed here for two nights. It's is in a fantastic location. 5 min walk to the beach and 5 min walk to the zoo. Food and stores less than 10 minutes away. Really good spot. Parking is on the street (which seemed safe) or is $15 a night in their small lot. The hotel is as others have said, a bit old and run down but still clean. The room was a good size but there is no AC so you have to keep the windows open and fans on. Since it summer the room was pretty warm until late into the evening. You could also hear all of your neighbors but I was lucky and my neighbors were quiet after 10pm. Be aware that there are a lot of stairs which adds to the cute retro look, but hard if you can't do stairs. I could not bring my parents to this hotel. Overall it is a good clean retro hotel. I would stay again.

i got bed bugs from staying at this hotel. the main lights were broken and we didnt get it fixed until the third day. Also, you can hear conversations of your next door neighbors so it was really loud. the location and service however was really nice.

We decided not to stay here and drive the hour back home in the middle of the night. Room was insufferably hot on the second floor, and our neighbors TV was left on very loud. Was expecting much more at $300 a night.

I think retro describes the overall vibe but for our family of three this place is great! We stayed in the king suite which has a well appointed kitchen, massive living area for my toddler to run about, and a tub/shower for him as well. Pool is small and clean and every other resident I've met is friendly. Pool also has pool noodles for use! Front desk staff have been courteous even during the busy 4pm check in time! Paying for parking is a pretty good deal since it is otherwise packed and most things (including beach, playgrounds, zoo, park, restaurants) are walking distance. We would love to stay here again!

They offer 24 hour front desk, this is not true. I was called the day and informed that the front desk leaves at 10pm, if I didn't check in I would forfeit the rooms I paid for. Had to pay for an earlier flight (not cheap), was that or loose $664.84. Worst way to end Fiesta, do not stay here.

When we checked in our room was on the second floor with no AC and it was at least 90 degrees in there. they also wanted $50 to park behind the property along with an additional deposit. When we expressed our dissatisfaction, the clerk became very rude and basically brushed us off. We went to the recently remodeled Motel 6 down the street which was terrific. STAY AWAY from this place. It is horrible.

Location of the hotel was really good. Unfortunally the rooms weren't that amazing. The bed wasn't that great and also the bathroom wasn't that nice. But all in all not too bad.

Great location near the beach, fairly quiet. But that’s about it. Slow wifi, no A/C, old mattress, crusty towels, no amenities in the room. The light bulbs have an awful blue tint, windows aren’t very secure, and they charge an extra $15 for parking.

Nice little motel, very well located for those who like to walk (30mn by foot to SB pier and State street), along the beach. Room is brand new, well equiped. But host are not that welcoming. The parking is not free (can t believe) and the breakfast is made of coffee/tea, cereals in boxes, apple and muffin. Nothing that healthy except the apple...ice machine near the pool, outdoor sofa to enjoy the night.

We stayed at Inn at East Beach ultra last minute during our road trip. We arrived in the middle of the night and were opened after calling the indicated number. Everything went smoothly, the room was very clean, bed comfortable and the chimney was the cherry on top of the cake. Breakfast was easy, definitely nice to have had it included!

This hotel worked for what we needed, a place to sleep and shower that was a walkable distance to the beach. The room was clean, felt safe the entire time, and no loud noises. There is a private parking lot in the back that they charge $15 day for if you don't want to deal with finding free parking on the street. No complaints, we would stay here again.

A clean hotel, room spacious. But you can hear every neighbor. Breakfast is included in the price but does not deserve the name breakfast! Snack is probably more appropriate. Above all, we have for less money in the Biltmore LA a terrific breakfast incl., so a comparison that it is also better.

I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews for this location. My room was very clean and we enjoyed our stay. I would highly recommend this location.

If I could rate this place with 0 stars I would, I booked this place off Expedia and called the staff last night and she answered and she asked if I had a booking and said yes, and she then verified who I was and told me she would give me my room at 4pm and I booked it for the night, she sounded like she was in bed at the time and didn't want to come out to give me my room. Ofcourse I canceled, but never have I been givin such poor service like this, she didnt want to give me my room because she was too lazy to do her job! The audacity for her to even say oh well just wait till 4 pm and you can have your room, very un-professional and rude!

I am VERY DISAPPOINTED!! I had a reservation, my wife went into labor a month and a half early. I notified the hotel 48 hours before the check in date(same night my wife went into labor) They said they doesn't do refunds. I asked for them to try and make an exception for me as this was unexpected.. I was told NO REFUNDS... This is very disappointing and wont be supporting this hotel again.

Very good spot close to the beach and. It not so far from the center (by car) and the 101. The pool il nice ans sunny. But rooms are not what you can expect: noisy refrigerators, out of service lights, broken interuptors.

Clean And friendly 50’s style motel perked up with some nice retro designer elements and nice location close to beach. Our room was quite noisy from the freeway, Wi-Fi was very slow, hot water was inconsistent, and breakfast was average at best (microwaveable sausage, egg, cheese biscuits, breakfast burrito, pre packaged muffins and banana bread, oatmeal cups, cereal, fruit, and milk, coffee, and juices).
