Horrid! Nightmare of a place! All furniture scraped up, almost all drawers were broken & falling out, the dresser, the night stands. Top towel rack is barely hanging on to the wall. Walls have holes in it, 1 hanging bed lamp has no working bulb in it & the shade of it was crooked. The bed skirt was only out from the front view as 1 enters the room the rest sloppily under mattress! Bathroom floor & tile on the wall disgustingly dirty! Place not dusted. Extremely heavy cleaners were used, couldn't breathe, I had to leave door open for more then 30 minutes! Chair was beyond disgustingly filthy, I am forever 😱 scarred! 100 yr old paint on walls, all white painted doors r filthy! Beyond nasty, don't stay here! U r better off @ motel 6! Pics speak 4 themselves!

We were a bit apprehensive coming to this motel after reading the reviews from the past guests. But they clearly have renovated the motel and at least are room was brand new: everything was in perfect order. New bathroom, everything freshly painted, the room was very clean and smelled great. Water pressure was amazing: the tap almost gave a jet-like stream. The check-in was very friendly and he helped us even though we were too early. I don’t know how it was in the past but everything was just the way you want it in a motel right now. I have seen A LOT of motels lately on our road trip but this was one of the best. Highly recommended!

First, I reserved a single King bed and got a room with double Queens because they had "sold out" of the room I had reserved weeks prior. The room itself was disgusting. The floor was so filthy my feet got dirty walking Barefoot. There appeared to be blood splatters on the walls in the bathroom (or some other reddish brown liquid). The kid at the front desk was horribly rude and unaccommodating. He basically just stared at me with his mouth open while I told him they had us in the wrong room. Horrible service, gross rooms. Would NOT recommend.

Great price, good location, free parking! no complaints about the room. took one star off because they were renovating the room next door to me and it was a bit noisy during the day. Would stay again!

If I could leave negative stars I would. If you see the "VACANCY" sign lit up, just pretend it says, "NO VACANCY," and MOVE ON. A LITERAL roach motel, in complete disarray, the smell of natural gas leaking, and electrical code violations up the wazoo. The cost vs. quality comparison doesn't add up — a Motel 6 is cleaner, and has more amenities for the money. Next time we'll know, and now you know. Avoid like the plague.

Our room was clean and upgraded. Like not having carpet. Both staff members I dealt with were very pleasant. Walking distance to quite a few places. Sun sushi is just right next door and some of the best sushi my husband and I have had. Get there early because this place is pumping! We had breakfast at Jeannine's and it was fantastic!!! The best Florentine Benedict I've EVER had!!! Get there early! Clearly a beloved place!

The Rose Garden Inn needs some serious TLC. After an emergency surgery on our trip we had to book a place for two nights. The price was right as it was the weekend. House cleaning needs to upgrade their cleaning process. The floors need to mopped. I walked in my shoes or socks except for a few moments and my feet were black. EWWWW. The bed was clean and comfortable. The peep hole was broke with a napkin stuck in it. That’s creepy! If I hadn’t been with my hubs, I would not have stayed it felt unsafe with out the latch over the door. If it was a road trip stay of one night, ok no biggy. But more than one night stay, it’s a no. Suggestions 1. Mop every room 2. Pick up trash out side in planters and parking lot 3 dust every surface in rooms. 4 fix the peep hole and put security latch on every room.

I have kids so it was really nice having the kids channels on cable. Beds were super comfortable. Located in a great spot with a trail behind the hotel and food close by. Great place to stay at an affordable price.

This location offers the bare minimum when it comes to amenities. No snacks or continental breakfast is available so be prepared to walk with your own stuff or you can visit one of the many eateries nearby. These mini mall within walking distance east of the hotel where you can shop souvenirs, etc. Be prepared for the experience. The manager had mentioned that the hotel had been renovated but there's lots of room for improvement!

Great value accommodation! This was part of a road trip, so we didn’t spend much time in the room (who does?!) but everything was good, free parking, lots of restaurants nearby, didn’t see much of the staff (again, who does), it was the cheapest place we could find and did the job! It is a ten min drive away from downtown but we just jumped in a Uber if we wanted to go out at night.

Welp... The beds were comfortable, but the A/C is adequate at best. The building exterior is not eye candy at all. It appears that the roof is fairly new. The interior is a complete mess. The paint is chipped, dirty, dark, and had fingerprints throughout. The coffee pot was filthy with paint all over it and inside a dirty drawer. For the price, just remember, you get what you pay for. The refrigerator was less than clean, and the less were broken so that the refrigerator shook all night but did not make any noise. For a quick night, if you are only looking for a shower and bed, and cleanliness doesn't matter, then this place will do. My suggestion: repair the damage rain gutters and other exterior damage. Put some nice light egg shell paint on the interior and exterior. Install new A/C units. Repair or replace refrigerators. Designate a room as a coffee/breakfast and offer a continental breakfast. Install permanent alarm clocks so they can't be stolen. Install functional phones that connect to the office. Supply clean full body towels, not these little half body towels.

If we could give 0 stars for room and service, we would. We were there for one night and they charged over $300/night. It is the worst hotel ever. Dead bugs on the wall, cigarette burn on the sheets, the room was obviously not cleaned. Complained to front desk and received small discount. The next morning, found a trail of ants in the bathroom and a live bug on my towel. Again, complained to front desk staff but he would not further discount b/c he had to ask manager. Demanded he call the manager but said he couldn't bother him. Was told to email. Followed up with email and no response. Sent second email. No response. Finally spoke to "manager" on phone and was given another nominal discount. Save your money and stay somewhere else. A campsite would be better.

Stayed 1 night, checked in around 9:30pm. The room looked pretty nice, seemed to be clean. Then at around midnight, cockroaches started coming out. I looked around and there were a few dead ones in some of the corners of the room. I tried calling the front desk but no one answered. I pulled the bed away from the wall a because there were some on the headboard of the bed. In the morning after my 2 year old had a bath she ran around barefoot for about 10 minutes and her feet were completely dark. There it's no carpeting and i see the cleaning cart, there is no mop on it. It was so gross, i cleaned her up again and we left. I told the front desk and they were completely unfazed by it. I would not recommend staying there at all.

First off it was in a nice area with comes to restaurants and stores. But the place was not cleanest and there were spiders in the bed and shower. The ac turned off and made the room really hot. Plus when you first walk into the room smells like old wet laundry because the ac is not on circularity the room. The floors were really dirty as well when coming out from the shower to the floor making our feet dirty right away. I would say it was my fault for not reading the bad reviews when booking this place.

Located in an area with a lot of options, downtown was 7 minutes away and beaches were within 10 minute drive. Only down side was the quality of the rooms itself, tv froze couple times and remote wouldn’t work. The bathroom sink had a crack on the wall and the the toilet was wobbly.

We paid less than $150 for a night here and we got what we paid for. It was small, but clean. Close to everything and for the price, it’s what we expected. They were nice. The 2.9 rating is bs.

Not the worst...but tied with second worst place I've stayed at. The sink wouldn't drain, the faucet would stream like a thimble or the Niagara falls. Pillows were made exclusively for child sized heads. The door had a air gap at the bottom so you could hear most of everything outside. Overall...a pretty mediocre experience

Dirty, dirty and dirty. Hair and dirt in the bathroom, hair and dirt in the bed, hair and dirt in the refrigerator. The fridge stinks too and isnt working. 20 year old towels that are dirty and as thin as toilet paper. Footprints on the bathroom floor, blood stains in the bed and the cleaning ladies chilling outside with their cell phones. We did not ask for another room because we were all sure the other rooms are in the same condition. Don't book this hotel, it is disgusting and for the money an absolute cheek. I would rather sleep on the beach and use public restrooms. An extra plus is that there are loose power cords and non-functioning outlets and USB Adapters in the room and the hotel is on the main road which is loud af. Skip Santa Barbara if this is your only option for an overnight stay.

Reasonably priced with very accommodating staff. The clerk was very friendly and professional, he even accommodated me a bit on the price. There was a tub with a shower, a very comfortable bed, a nice TV and it was quiet.

A good lodging experience for the lowest price in town. You might have to wait or do something else before you can check in. The manager juggles a lot in life and can't always be at the front desk, but it's worth it. I was especially pleased with the natural soaps and shampoo/conditioner provided. It made my hair look better than what I use at home. Looking my best was important for the purpose of my visit. But in my bathroom, there were no towel hangers, which I thought was odd. The facility is mostly quiet but can vary night to night. Walls and ceilings are quite acoustically transparent, but hey, if you insist on sound proofing, then pay hundreds more for a steel reinforced high rise. With the sharp increase in the cost of cross-country travel over the past 3 years, I need to save my money! Room service is okay but doesn't happen every 24 hours. There were no cups the first night but they appeared the next day. Overall, a positive experience in a beautiful city full of friendly, hard-working, cooperative, and down-to-earth people.

Adequate and practical. Comfortable bed, mostly quiet but thin walls. Good location on a bus line.

I like this motel. The room was a nice size in the bathroom was huge. And of course because of the pandemic a lot of things were not in the room like refrigerator or a microwave or a coffee pot so that sort of made a little difficult to have perishables like snacks in the room. However it was dog friendly which we love. Besides that it was in the center of a lot of great things. Restaurants coffee shops donut shops not too far away from them Beach I was really impressed the location and will definitely go there again when I go back to visit Santa Barbara

Yikes. Absolutely not worth the money. Much better spending extra on a more decent room. Where to begin. Well, no coffee maker in the room as was advertised...paper thin blankets, as well as thin curtains so you have a bright light shining in your face. The floor was sticky, and the fridge smelled gross. There was no hot water so I couldn't even take a shower. No redeeming qualities whatsoever. Don't waste your money.

It was beautiful and the pool was the best! Dont be fooled by the bad reviews, the people who left bad reviews are nit picky! Very nice place in general ..but, to be honest - The price was a little too hight for a room that doesn’t have a proper way to make coffee. Two glass of water would be basic, even in a motel. The fridge was dripping a little bit from the door while opening it. You could hear the neighbor’s next door steps while they were walking and just talking a little bit loud - so I needed to put earplugs. The room was clean , the guy at the lobby was really nice and helpful. The motel is next to several nice places , cafes , laundry etc. had no problem with parking.

Our room and bathroom were clean and we had enough space for us. The staff was very nice and helpful. It was possible for us to come a day early as we planned. I would definitely come back
