Service: great, nice waiters Wait time: had to wait 30-40 minutes because we wanted to dine in and seated at a booth. You can order on the side and just eat on the pier if you don’t want to dine Food: Clam chowder was good but not memorable. It was my first time trying cioppino and I didn’t like the watered down red tomato sauce taste. I was imagining it to be more flavorful, despite this, the amount of seafood in it was generous. The bread bowl was probably the best part and that’s not saying much. We also got 3 of their pasta(can’t recall which ones) and they had an odd fishy taste. Presentation: all the food had beautiful presentation Cleanliness: Everything seemed clean. If anything, they should sanitize their menus real quick between party uses (they’re readily available on the table) Overall, it seems the food we got here was a miss. Bring a sweater and hair clip/tie if you plan to dine outside, breezy/chilly. Easy parking

Freshest seafood I’ve ever had. There’s always a long line BUT order from the side window and you’ll get it pretty quick and have to get a table by your own. Sadly when we arrived there was no more fish! But they had everything else, we had shrimp tacos, lobster pasta, abalone with rice and sea urchin as an appetizer. Half order of sea urchin is 35 bucks. Everything was around 100 dollars. Amazing service, staff was very friendly. Definitely worth the visit

The oysters on a half shell was delicious 🤤 Our server was excellent but didn't know his name. The wait was an hour but it was worth it 👍 Wanted to try the king crab & the uni but they did not have any 😔 must come early or call ahead for availability. Overall, it was a great dinner with the sunset over looking the harbor, beautiful day trip to Santa Barbara 🤗

We were in Santa Barbara for one night and planned it around enjoying shellfish by the sea, and let me tell you, our meal did not disappoint! Service was excellent! Our waiter was busy, but still was attentive and helpful. I will update if I can remember his name. We enjoyed ever course from our oyster shooters to the crab entree. Nothing was over cooked and everything tasted fresh. I’ve read some reviews that the clam chowder is over hyped, but we disagree. It was really tasty and packed with clams. Basically each dish was what we wanted it to be. Then the ambiance - of course Sterns Warf at sunset is a delight. We were happy to be able to sit outside and enjoy the nice weather. If there’s a wait, just sit it out. This place is surprisingly great for a restaurant in a touristy area. We will definitely be coming back again next visit!

The clam chowder was delicious. However, the lobster sandwich was a bit under-seasoned for my liking. The sea urchin shooter wasn't tasty. Although the seafood were fresh, I didn't find the restaurant to be worth coming back here again.

Good! Fun location right at the end of Stearn's Pier. Magnificent views of the sun setting over the hills. Shrimp and scallops over a bed of linguini are so good. And guess what, you can order any pasta with Uni on top (well, for $14!). Not the largest plate, but very tasty. And it does have a small piece of toasted bread. Two shrimp tacos on corn tortillas, Spanish rice and avocado were delicious. Of course, I'm very partial to tacos. Again, small serving but loved it. Really, the four stars come from solid food, indoor and outdoor seating, a fun walk/drive to the end of the pier, and splendid views.

I'd say in general we were very happy with our selections and of course if you eat outside you get beautiful views. The calamari was good but not the best I've ever had and the crab cakes were okay but I thought they could have been more flavorful. All in all, the scenery was excellent and the food was good. The service was a bit slow.

Went here with the travel group after getting off the Trolley. It was also my sis birthday and she wanted seafood. I had the coconut shrimp topped with huge onion rings and coleslaw. Iced tea lemonade was the best. My sister got a mix with oysters, shrimp, and onion rings. Also the garlic bread was the best I ever had. Thank you to the couple who sat next to me and let me ask ask questions and take a pic of what thru ordered. 5 stars for the food. 5 stars for the waiter Sean also.

Best Lobster Bisque I've ever had in my life. Drove 4hrs to eat lunch with my husband for Valentine's and the food and service never disappoint. My husband isn't a picky eater but certainly hates celery and still devoured the entire lobster roll. Fresh and delicious!!!

Came here on a Friday night and it was quite packed, yet the staff was swift. and we found an outdoor seating quickly . We had lobster bisque, urchin+scallop on lime, Kumamoto oysters, crab cake, abalone rice & lobster roll. Everything was amazing — but the champion of the meal has to be the abalone rice — juicy, tender with the taste of the sea!! Great food against a setting sun…. The ambience 💯! A must try if you’re in Santa Barbara.

I came along and sat on the bar. Good vibes, lots of people given it's early December. Nice selection of beers good service, dishes are pricey but good. you're paying for the location and the vibes.

Our favorite seafood road trip up the coast! Food is fresh and plentiful, and the wait is short when you go during non-tourist hours/season. The crab is so meaty and the work is minimal. We like to sit outside under the heat lamps and enjoy the sunset. Thank you!

I really enjoyed the food here. Everything was fresh and delicious. The Uni were out of this world. We ordered the clam chowder, onion rings, lobster rolls, and Uni which all was great. It is a must visit restaurant when you are in town. I know I will. 👍🏻

The Local Santa Barbara Sea Urchin was absolutely delicious! Picture this: the sea urchin, perched on a bed of raw scallop and zesty lime, accompanied by a side of ginger sauce that adds a tantalizing kick! The clam chowder was my second favorite, followed closely by the lobster roll, and then the crab cake. The overall verdict? Pretty darn good! When I visited, the waitlist for indoor seating was super long, but guess what? I stumbled upon a window and a menu on the side, and they had everything I wanted, plus the seating was first come first serve and I didn’t have to wait! Oh, and a word of caution if you choose to dine outside, there’s a huge log next to the tables. Please avoid it, it’s a sneaky splinter party waiting to happen!

We were there like 2 weeks ago. The the waiter and waitress were nice, but when I walk past inside the restaurant to go to the toilet, some of the staff, they looked at me hostilely :/ Shrimp scampi was good, but Alaska crab legs were SUPER SALTY. The legs were very meaty, sadly every bite I ate, I feel only saltiness, not the real taste of crab meat. Overall it was a good opportunity to go to this restaurant to feel the ambience of Sterns Wharf.

The food is solid, and the wait staff was attentive. The wait time was around 25 minutes. We sat at the bar and had a close up view of where the magic happens, the kitchen. I definitely would return.

Ordered a small cup of Clam Chowder. After finishing it, I realized I should have stepped up to the larger cup even though I had a big breakfast. It has a very good consistency and lots of firm clam bits inside. The taste is a bit fishy but that is not a complaint. Uni platters also seemed to be a very popular menu item that they were sold out not long after I had taken my order down. Beware of limited sitting areas so best to have something you can hold firmly onto to consume or have members of your group be on the lookout for a bench to sit. And of course, watch out for all the birds.
