I was disappointed by my recent experience at Finch & Ford. For a restaurant boasting premium seafood and located in a nice hotel, it failed to deliver on food or service. The oysters we ordered to start were terrible - gritty and flavorless. Send these back to the sea! And the supposedly signature scallops were a disaster. They were undercooked with a gummy texture and filled with sand which ruined the experience. For the high price, unacceptable. The rest of our meal was mediocre at best. For these prices, we expect and deserve exceptional execution. Making matters worse was the lackluster service. Our server forgot to put in one of our orders and was nowhere to be found when we needed drink refills.

The food was good and the prices are decent. And the staff is friendly. Would come back. Also there was free valet parking for the restaurant so that made it less stressfully to find parking in downtown.

My friend and I went to Finch and Folk for Happy Hour on Sunday. Sun-Thursday, their Happy hour is from 4-6. Drinks are $10. They also have menu items you can purchase. The bartender was friendly and helpful. We ordered deviled eggs and Mac 'n Cheese. The bar is beautiful and fully stocked. You can sit in the lounge area on comfy seats or at the bar. The bathrooms are located down the stairs, or by elevator. We had dinner reservations for 5 p.m. as we were going to see Nickel Creek at the Granada Theatre. My friend had Scallops and Peaches and Burrata Cheese. I had a dish with Cauliflower and Purple Potatoes. I spent around 30 dollars for dinner and my friend spent around 60 dollars for her dinner and dessert. Our waiter was fun. He had a wonderful personality and was a huge help in serving us and getting us out the door to our concert. The dining room is beautiful and well-appointed. Please see the attached photos.

The quality of the food is seriously 5/5 and the portion sizes are very fair. The service is good too, no problems with that at all. However, the only reason for the four stars is simply because the restaurant needs to hire more servers, sometimes the place can get packed and there will be literally one server for all tables(~10+ tables), which increases wait times. Santa Barbara is a vacation spot, so these wait times might not bother most people, but it is a fair critique to note. Otherwise, the service is good. The servers are professional and considerate! Even providing accommodations if needed, like iced-coffee. One of my favorite brunch choices was the almond butter & banana(take a look at the photo I provided). The quality of the food was consistent, every time.

Ordered room service from here at the Kimpton Canary Hotel. The service was quick and the food was phenomenal. I loved every single thing I tried. The bacon breakfast burrito was delicious and all the ingredients inside were cooked perfectly. The avocado toast was so flavorful and refreshing. The French fries had a perfect texture. The smoked salmon bagel was loaded and the salmon was very fresh. Not pictured is the OPP brunch cocktail and that was also a delicious, light cocktail to get your day started. I highly recommend this restaurant. Will definitely be back

I called in advance and asked if I can bring my dog to the restaurant. They said yes. I asked once again at the front if I can come in with my dog and they said yes. Later, a manager came and said they don’t allow dogs inside and it’s the California Law. He added he understands how it can be confusing since the hotel lets in dogs as if we hadn’t asked the staff. He told us we can eat in the lobby and left. Understandable but no one redirected us to where we can sit in the lobby. We weren’t really given an option to cancel our order even though I shared with the front lobby I’m not sure if I want to stay and eat at the lobby. Staff was nice but I’m pretty unhappy how the manager seemed very unapologetic and we had to eat right by the hotel door instead of being given the option to cancel and leave.

Where to start on this less than Denny's experience. Saddest breakfast ever... A 5 year old can boil bland potatoes and serve up one piece of hard toast with bread from a .99cent store too. Not too worry after 35 min from seating you they will eventually show up to your table to serve up some delicious disappointment! Out of all the selections nearby this place should be a last resort.

Finch in Fork, is a fantastic restaurant. I am a picky eater and no joking, when I went there for my first time, I wanted to return, the next day. For weeks every time I made dinner all I kept thinking is I want the Fried Chicken Oysters from Finch and Fork, which are super tender and crisp without being oily and the honey drizzle on it, makes a persons tastebuds so happy!!! From the small plates, to entrées, wine selection, unique an extremely tasty drinks, to delightful desserts, there is seriously something for everyone. The staff only makes the experience there that much better, such as David the bartender and Gabby one of the servers. If you are a locate and haven’t gone there yet, be prepared to want to go back again and again. If you are a visitor make it one of your stops, it is worth every penny.

This is a great little restaurant underneath the Canary Hotel at the corner of Chapala and Carrillo. They serve classic American dishes made with fresh local ingredients. I thought the staff was quite friendly and very professional. My only criticism was that they seemed a bit understaffed for how full the restaurant was. I would definitely give the food a 5 star rating and I think the portion size is relatively fair considering the price. Try their milkshakes! I would go back again and I for sure recommend.

I'm not used to eating at Gluten free restaurants, but this place had some surprising dishes. First off, wasn't too excited to be going here in the first place. Not much looked appealing. Ordered the salmon. And I was pleasantly surprised. It was very tasty. Also had this Kung pow cauliflower appetizer (I hate cauliflower) that was so delicious. Wow, so good! Overall, it was a great experience.

Kimpton hotel’s seem to do it for interior design, thoughtfulness, and overall friendliness with their staff. We had a lovely time dining at Finch & Fork taking it all in.

Very nice restaurant inside a hotel building. The interior is airy and simply but elegantly decorated. They set up a table for our large group and we had great time. The food selection was limited but good quality. Our orders were messed up and service was slow but they fixed it immediately. We will come back again when in town

Friendly and professional staff. Delicious with fresh ingredients brunch. My hubby got a the brioche french toast & was absolutely delighted. I had the salmon bagel. I loved the unique spin with the chipotle cream cheese. Definitely recommend if in the area for a brunch.

An absolute gem of a place for brunch. F&F has a nice old timey casual vibe with the leather seats and plantation shutters. It feels like going back in time a bit, all while you're in downtown Santa Barbara. The service was really fast and with a smile. The real center piece of this place though is the cinnamon french toast. The pistachio granola adds an absolutely different dimension to the French toast and is really the star of their menu. If you're looking for a easy going weekend brunch place, the F&F delivers

It doesn't get any better off State Street. The remodel is looking amazing. Keep up the great work and make sure Mark Maron stays on a lower floor next time he visits with you!

First time at this restaurant. Great service, lovely staff and great food. I have it 4 stars because their menu could offer a bit more of variety/selection. Other than that nice place for brunch!

😋😋😋 mouth watering thinking about it. I had a lovely Chardonnay. The calamari was very good! The waiter was very kind. Top level customer service. His recommendations were fire. He said the pork chop was the best on the menu. I NEVER order pork chop, Ever! But that day I did and let me tell you, that was the best pork chop I have ever had. Th bacon and apple bits were so so good! A must try. I wish I lived closer to go have it again.

Good food and cocktails, patchy service. We went to celebrate my wife's birthday and said so when asked during the on-line booking. We arrived and were quickly seated. We waited a while before the waitress came to take our drink and appetizer order. It took a while to get those items. When they arrived we ordered our main courses. These dishes arrived before we'd finished our drinks, and the salad came with the hot food. We had also ordered a bottle of wine, which came out of sync. Our appetizer, salad and main courses were very good, as was our dessert. However, apart from our waitress wishing my wife happy birthday, there was no recognition of that event. Why bother asking when we booked?

Love the renovated space and the upgraded color palette. The service was attentive and the food was visually appealing and tasty. By far one of the best yoghurt parfaits I’ve ever had. Kuddos to their culinary team!
