My
mom
asked
me
to
get
her
a
couple
of
things
at
McDonald's.
I
admit,
I
have
not
set
foot
in
one
in
over
10
years.
I
used
to
work
for
this
one
(upper
State
Street),
while
in
high
school.
Back
then
it
had
a
carousel
for
kiddos
to
ride
on,
and
it
had
Birthday
Parties
for
children,
it
had
picnic
tables
outside
for
people
to
share
time,
and
it
didn't
use
SOYBEAN
oil
to
cook
the
food.
It's
not
the
same
McDonald's.
Everything
is
made
in
SOYBEAN
oil,
and
the
customer
service
is
not
good.
When
I
worked
there
we
greeted
people
with
enthusiasm
and
we
got
their
orders
out
quickly.
The
cashier
could
not
answer
any
questions
about
the
food
and
seemed
uninterested
in
taking
anyone's
order.
So
I
tried
to
ask
for
a
manager
and
was
told,
"No
English".
Really?!
In
a
major
food
chain?
I
was
surprised.
So,
I
stood
in
line
again
and
got
my
mom's
order.
She
was
happy.
I
do
not
need
to
go
back.
I
did
see
a
small
sign
on
the
way
out
the
door
that
says
they
use
all
the
allergens
that
people
are
allergic
to.
So,
my
takeaway
is
I
will
not
need
to
return
anytime
soon.
There
are
a
vast
number
of
eateries
in
Santa
Barbara
that
are
fabulous.
I
admit,
I
do
miss
the
original
McDonald's
French
Fries
before
SOYBEAN
oil
was
a
thing.
Cheers!
