Wonderful breakfast. This is my 2nd breakfast at Cajun Kitchen. I had eggs and hot link. Good coffee too!

Fast and friendly service, generous portions, good flavor. Menu is quite extensive. I’m looking forward to trying the jambalaya next time. If it’s as delicious as it sounds, I’ll definitely bump this up to 5 stars. 4 stars just because I found both the biscuit and cornbread and the eggs to be on the drier side. Also want to try the beignets next time! Bonus points for serving Dune coffee, another SB favorite

This wonderful place has been around forever. Been going do the Cajun kitchen for decades, and it's always delicious. The staff is awesome. The service is very quick and the food is always excellent. Had the blackened catfish and eggs with home fries today, it was outstanding! And what's not to love about a bottomless cup of coffee? Great place for locals and a terrific restaurant to bring our outer town guests, and my 97-year-old mama!

Servers were very friendly, and the outdoor seating was very nice. Fried chicken from the chicken and waffles was great, but the waffles were a bit floppy. Beignets were also great but the chocolate sauce was a bit lackluster. Overall still quite happy with the food though!

Oh. my. gosh. Our Lyft driver recommended this place for breakfast and it is AMAZING. I will try to replicate this mouth watering breakfast when I get home and I will fail. So good. 100 ⭐️s

Very disappointed with my breakfast. I Ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs the gravy on the chicken fried steak must have come out of a can because there's no way that was a homemade country gravy absolutely no flavor whatsoever. and Saying for the rest of the breakfast eggs hash grounds the entire meal was a disappointment, couldn have been a one-off but still not satisfied at all. After explaining to the waitress my dissatisfaction when she inquired about my meal she offered To replace the meal I settled for a couple of pancakes which were a disappointment as well but like I said, maybe it was just a one-off bad day for the cooks. But the service was good and the waitress very nice.

I’ve been to all of them and the Chapala location makes the BEST breakfast burritos. Today was the day that I found the best combo. The secret? Add red bell pepper, onion and extra cheese to the Burrito #1. OMG wifey gonna be suspicious now because I won’t be eating breakfast @ home as frequently!

Be careful! If you order bacon & eggs, you might not get the bacon. If you ask for separate checks, you might not get separate checks. If you want a second cup of coffee, you might have to ask for it. No worries. Wasn't charged for the missing bacon. Knowing math, was able to split the check. And asking wasn't the problem. It should have been offered. The food was as expected. The atmosphere, though loud, was as expected. Guess increasing server wages and adding benefits wasn't the answer here.

Went for breakfast over the weekend. While busy, we were seated quickly. They have an extensive menu with lots of delicious-sounding dishes. We chose the vegetarian huevos rancheros and some beignets. It was wonderful and it can out quickly. Service could have been a bit better, but would still come back to try some other menu items.

Great place for breakfast and lunch! Food was very good. We had the Blackened Salmon and the Corned Beef Hash with a side of French Toast. Very tasty and generous portions! Rather busy around 11am when we were there. There seemed to be only one server.

Fast and friendly service. The coffee was good and hot. I ordered the shrimp and grits which was really good and my husband got biscuits and gravy and he said it was good. They make substitutions here which was nice, and the portions are really big. Definitely check this place out.

Delicious comfort food, I got the huevos ranchero it had a twist chorizo, rice & beans in a huge layer like a volcano on fried corn tortillas. Hubby enjoyed his bacon & eggs.

Being from Texas, I was impressed with the shrimp and grits. Although it was not just like home, it was good enough and definitely hit the spot. They do a great job at making flavorful foods.

I discovered this little gem on Google Maps. I ordered the seafood gumbo which I would recommend. Loaded with different kinds of seafood including scallops and shrimp in a brown savory soup with rice and green onions. A biscuit or cornbread is included. It's served in a wide but relatively shallow bowl, which is fine because it's served piping hot and it needs to cool. Cheerful service, nice room. I will definitely return.

Our favorite breakfast spot for years. Love several of their mainstay dishes, mine is Shirley's Special. Great service, too! The only reason for 4 stars is their funky parking situation in the Chapala/ Canon Perdido location. They're situated across the street from a huge public parking lot, but they've still blocked their own lot for direct customer parking and made it a "parklet" to serve more customers outside - in winter, no less. Come summer, I'm sure diners will prefer to be seated outside in the parking lot rather than wait at the door. But for now, it seems a waste of their parking lot.

Go to breakfast spot. They have all ranges of food for anyone. They have great vegan options. Love their grits. Just a great spot in general. Yummy food and great service. It does get very busy because of how great it is. But as long as you go early you will be seated right away.

I indulged with the friend chicken eggs benedict that was pretty superb. The staff was friendly and the service was good. My partner is a SB local and this was his top choice to eat near state street!

Classic! Old school breakfast/lumch place with old school decor and service...which is to say friendly and experienced not young students!! Cool for this 74 yr old! My first time but will return!

Only disappointment was the waffle in the Chicken and Waffle dish. Chicken was excellent, tasty and crunchy. Waffle was blah. My wife had the Jambalaya. That was excellent. The Beignets were awesome!

Delicious food and fantastic customer service. We had a group of 8 girls and the service was quick and polite and everyone was happy with their food. The chilaquiles and champagne with beignets were a big hit!

Cajun kitchen (on Chapala & Canon Perdido) is close to my house so it is convenient. The first time I went and ordered a Chile Verde omelet that arrived in red sauce. Very disappointing. Next time I ordered Eggs Benedict and there were egg shells in my meal! The wait time from ordering to food arrival is a L O N G time! Take snacks to avoid being hangry! Check had to be requested. I hope Cajun Kitchen can/will do better!

Just what you want breakfast and lunch. Eggs Benedict very good. Home Potatoes good as well. Good Coca-Cola. Not too busy when I visited but everything was fresh and nice. Staff friendly and helpful.

This is a great place to dine in or take out. On this day we dined in so to speak because we sat outside on their pretty patio. Set in a quiet neighborhood it is a great place to eat and relax. The setup is simple, you order at the counter, take a number and go find your table. I had seafood fajitas and my wife had enchiladas. We were both very pleased; the food was excellent, as was the service. Their parking lot is very small, but you can easily park in the neighborhood. This is a must stop if you want to enjoy authentic Mexican food; we will return!

This place is a gem. After a long while I had genuine cajun flavor in food served at a place that claims to be cajun. I had the shrimp étouffée which was awesome and was served woth s freshly baked biscuit which was great too. Had the michelada which was very refreshing and did not feel like they used bottled mix for making it Highly recommend

I had the veggie omelette and it was pretty good with different vegetables. This place was recommended to me by someone who has lived there before.

I had the jambalaya and eggs, Loved it, ask for cornbread on the side, it's delicious! Don't order if your not into spicy food. My four year old had the blackened chicken and fries, he Loved it. As for my wife she had huevos rancheros. They're not your typical mexican dish, you actually get two stacked chorizo tostada's with the eggs on top, topped with cheese and avocado. They're also a bit spicy but really good. Will definitely come back.

The fried chicken Benedict is one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. Everything else is also very good but we came back the next day yo eat that one again!
