We were in Santa Barbara from San Diego for the weekend and I Googled cheap eats. This was one of the highest rated places, with good reason. We grabbed a variety of tacos on their menu, 8 total plus two soft drinks and the total was right at $25. Absolutely incredible tacos. The salsa bars were delicious and plentiful and the street tacos loaded with protein. An absolute recommendation. The lines were out the door (Saturday night) but they moved the line with a great flow and pace so the wait was minimal. If you are searching for street tacos in this awesome city, this should be your first stop. They are indeed cheap and beyond delicious.

ate at the store front. the vibe is relaxed and wasnt busy at the time, sat late afternoon. Ordered the 4 different tacos which seriously tasted good as or better than the ones at the mexican borders! Wish this establishment had more stores. I NEED to come back to this gem. Mouth watering delicious with their sauce, meat, tortillas

Great award winning soft tacos at $3 a piece with a unique different parts of cow selection (tongue (delicious), cheek, eye, lip and head) along with the regular chicken, pork, beef and veggie options. There is a fish option available from Friday to Sunday. They have ample indoor seating and have two counters where you can put your sauces and toppings of choice with your taco. The onion side dish is also delicious and they also have drinks including jarritos.

Not a fancy spot by any means but damn good food! It was ready within seconds. Great food at a great price. I went to downtown Santa Barbara later that evening and paid 3x more for tacos that weren’t half as good.

This place should be called JUST TACOS. I ordered chicken fajita taco from the grilled section, but it served with steamed chicken. When I questioned that, they looked at me with frustration as if I were asking something strange. Not very welcoming explanation of their own menu. The cook just tossed an order receipt at me as an explanation which still does not make sense. Tacos are very small in my opinion. It should be bigger for $3. I will not come to this place again. I don’t know why it is getting such good reviews. Taqueria place with NO CHIPS, very strange! Nothing special at all.

Amazing tacos! Street taco size but loaded with meat. The salsas are delicious too. Definitely a go-to for a quick lunch while out and about.

Amazing traditional tacos. Order the labio tacos. We stumbled upon this place on a road trip and we’re so surprised. It made our list for sure. Very clean, friendly service, and quick.

Great restaurant, literally some of the most inexpensive food you can get in Santa Barbara for the quality. Some random guy on the street yelled at me for I have no clue why but it honestly added to the experience. They have this thing called a taco too, never heard of it before and I just had to try it, so good and nummy!!!

This is a hole in a wall taco restaurant but it's extremely popular for locals. The menu is simple but they know what they are doing. The price is really affordable with only $3 per taco. The service is fast and very friendly. Parking can be tough so you might have to walk. It's a kid and family friendly facility.

Very tasty tacos with tongue. Pleasant staff. The chefs are well prepared. The choice of sauces is too small for me. The meat is very tasty, juicy, moderately salty. Prices are average. Tacos are wonderful

I love the tacos they are as close to a real street Mexican taco as you can get here in the States or rather here in Santa Barbara. Of course they will never be the same as the authentic tacos. That said the salsa is what makes the tacos and their salsas are good and spicy. Their protein is well balanced and seasoned. The food over all was great the prices were a bit on the higher side. The lady behind the counter wasn't friendly at all, maybe she was having a bad day or maybe she was stressed out. They have a large clientele that should make them happy unless the bosses are not kind to the employees then the employees are not good to the customers. This is the second time that I encountered a ride employee in the same chain of restaurants. Either they are hiring the wrong person or the boss is the problem. However there was a saving grace. A very nice and kind young Mexican girl that was very friendly and with a genuine smile advised me that they had called my number. It was busy and she was paying attention and treated the customers the right way.

Great Tacos! The Abodoba is amazing. Green sauce was very flavorful. Lots of meat and good price. Workers were helpful and friendly

It's a joint with very good tacos. Three is a good meal, but my son ate 4. Load them up with chopped onions and parsley as well as some hot sauce. Good stuff! Not a fancy place to eat, but it is clean. Workers regularly bus and clean the tables.

Stayed in Ventura for a few days and drove 30 minutes to Santa Barbra twice to get these tacos. These tacos are PACK FULL of meat. They had our tacos ready before we even sat down at our table. Friendly staff. Some of the best tacos we have ever had. I’ve always been a carne asada fiend but the pork here absolutely blew me away. Can’t go wrong. Don’t miss this place.

Top tacos I’ve had outside of Mexico. Highlights were the Cachete (beef cheek) and Cabeza (head),at $3 a piece! Must stop in Santa Barbara!

Flavor was great though.. Steamed meats are the way to go I would say or make a note and ask them not to dry the meats so much.

I had four cabeza tacos with everything radishes, onion and cilantro, salsa verde, lime. Q u a l i t y tacos right here I regret that I didnt order more, and that I didnt order the grilled onion ($1 extra). the meat has the perfect texture and flavor!:) the salsa verde is spicy i would say mas o menos on a light to medium level i also noticed adobada is popular will try and update next time. Whether you take your order to go or eat at the location it is fun. The parking is packed though and I’ve never not had to wait in line but well worth the wait. They pack your onion/cilantro mix and salsas for you if its to go but you can also decorate your tacos yourself (for example getting a lime or two) polite employees could not have asked for a better taco experience! :D ps they take apple pay (there is a fee for ordering less than $5 but i cant imagine spending less than 5.
