Wow! This fig tree is massive. Located right next to the bus terminal. Really easy to find. The tree casts a giant shade where you can take pictures and just cool off a bit. If you never seen a giant fig tree before, you have to see this one. I would check it out again if I'm in the area. I post honest reviews and pictures of places we visit. Give me a like if you find it helpful.

This is the largest Moreton Bay Fig Tree in the US!! It's currently fenced off for some reason. Still beautiful and serene as always when we pass through Santa Barabra. A good challenge to take photos through the fenced holes, but still got this beautiful shot at sunset.

Did you know this is the oldest fig tree in the world? And it's located in Santa Barbara! It really is a shame that it's been neglected and carved up- hence the fence, however you're still able to peer past the chain link fence and stand in awe of the ginormous tree with it's imposing limbs and plentiful figs. If you're in the downtown area and would like to do some exploring, this is for you.

Must see trees in Santa Barbara. It's inside the fenced area to protect it. It's humongous. World's largest fig tree. It's good to spend some time to know the history of it. We have used the Santa Barbara train stations parking lot. Easy to reach using Google maps.

Amazing to see; sad it is fenced off right now but it didn’t stop us from looking at it. Glad to have seen it, worth adding a stop here on your walk to or from the funk zone. We were the only ones there on a Tuesday around 2pm less a couple people at the train station.

So glad I came to see this rare gem. I ❤️ trees. They give me hope for this planet. I follow a YT’er (Max and Occy) and he has an over 500 y.o. Moreton Fig on his 5 acres in 🇦🇺. I visit this one every summer. Unfortunately, not all respect the earth and this tree would be ruined if it weren’t for the chainlink fence surrounding it’s space. Wish SB would do better to protect it and make it more beautiful.

Not worth the visit, its completely fenced off and right next to the highway so the setting is grim.

Huge, beautiful tree. I understand it was fenced off for its protection, but it was still disappointing.

You have to see it to believe it! If you are in Santa Barbara stop here for a few minutes and take in the sheer scale of it!

Enormous and beautiful tree!! Never observed this until recently. Glad its surrounded by a fence, it helps from vandalism.

Large, majestic, beautiful tree. If you're near downtown Santa Barbara, it's worth a quick 1 minute sightseeing. Otherwise, don't bother.

Beautiful and enormous tree! It is very impressive. Worth going to see it. There’s a parking near by that is free for the first 75 minutes.

I THOUGHT IT WAS SO BIG BUT BECAUSE OF THE WAY OUR PEOPLE TREAT THING THEY HAD A FENCE AROUND THE TREE TO PROTECT IT FROM VANDALISM BEING THAT PEOPLE CARVED THEIR INITIALS INTO THE TREE WHICH IS NOT COOL.

What a MASSIVE tree, amazing it is still looking so healthy. Kudos to the workers that keep it protected and treat it against pests.

We visit this tree 🌳every visit to Funk Zone, Santa Barbara🧔. We were concerned about the fencing. There was a downed branch🌿 :( I hope it a construction👷‍♀️👷‍♂️ fence they use to protect the trunk from damage We usually let our kids connect with it by climbing around & hopping on the roots!
