👍👍 I don't know if I have ever seen a full creek flow in the Mission Creek! I am wondering if they are going to remove all downed trees...I like the one at the waters edge. Also some the standing trees could use some pruning to rebalance them...just a thought. People often mention park, creek, areas,

The best place ever for any type of festivity, and festival, really nice people. Crashing into a party may be challenging but worth it. Depending on the type of party holding a can of beer (an empty one works) helps to be seen as a valid guest.

Great park with nice playground area. The park runs along Mission Creek and is 2 blocks from the hospital. In better years, this is the park for all kinds of ethnic festivals. Huge BBQ pit with multiple cement picnic tables. Other wooden picnic area with grills around the park. I did notice more homeless in the parking lot, but the playground area and rest of the park is fine. Be kind to those around you.

I went there for an outdoor zumba class. It was fun, and almost half the stage at 10:30am was in shade, half in sun, donation to pay for class. The rest of the park is nice. Shady or sunny picnic areas, class playground with newer equipment, and a kiddy pool.

This long thin little park is really special in that it follows and preserved the natural environment, the creek and the surrounding landscape. The park itself has something for everybody, a little paths picnic tables and grass, and several paths to walk along. I bring visitors here because it's so close and so Santa Barbara.

Love Oak Park - great for kids and families - lots of tables and barbecue areas and whatnot. A creek runs through the park so kids can scramble through it. On weekdays there are certain areas best avoided as people sit there and drink all day long but it is definitely safe and clean

Nice and fun little (not tiny not huge, more like just right) park, there's something for everyone. Dog friendly, kid friendly and has huge BBaQ outs as well as horseshoe pits and bathrooms!

Oak Park is one of the best in Santa Barbara barbara has couple of big areas for reservation also small areas that are free to use for barbecue and other gatherings...also a playground for the kids and a kiddie pool during the summer with lifeguards also

Am taking off a star, as once again the foxtail grasses are out of control. The burrs will follow. How about a volunteer team to install some native plants and pull out the invasives, esp the ones that can severely harm little children and our dogs. Or.... what will it take for the public parks to have time, money, interest in cleaning up the grass and vegetation? The stage has been completed and the kiddy pool is open again! MIssion Creak was flowing this year with all the rain, really delightful. ,................ Neighborhood park, large enough for many activities. Not fenced into parcels so it a pleasant walk with dog. Stage badly needs resurfacing as dancers and exercise classes use it even during Covid. In non Covid times is used for festivals. There is seating for large groups and areas to BB, tennis courts, a pool for toddlers, and if it rains a beautiful creek. Complaints are the seasonal fox tails and burrs as park services doesn't seem to have the resources to control these and how the parking can at times be overrun by non park users.

Small, but for a city park it's great. If you're taking it visiting relatives to the hospital, you can walk there and enjoy a stroll, bird watching, or a picnic. Lots of tables in the shade. There's a restroom near the play area, and a water fountain after you cross the bridge.

Beautiful playground for young kids. The pool is always a blast. Bathrooms are a bit questionable.

Oak park is a great place for party, gathering or whatever! There is no running water in the creek at this time but loads of fun to be had! Funky restroom but it works!

Nice and family friendly park. Sad the creek is dried up.

👍👍 An absolutely unique and gorgeous building in the heart of Santa Barbara. Defined a must see and within walking distance (a few blocks) from the State Street main drag. The grounds are upon to the public and extremely well kept. The most magical time to visit is of course during sunset's golden hour...
