Very cozy place for dinner! Inside of the restaurant is beautiful with interesting interior and nice colors. If you want to drink coffee with delicious pastries, then you should come here and try one of the desserts. This restaurant is a good choice, taste of all baking is appropriate!

It’s the third time I try this place. Probably the last. I value good food but most importantly good service and welcoming people, and this was not the case here. The lady who took our order was pushy and rude. We just wanted to order a drink and a little treat, so we asked for tea and an apple pie. Her reply was “no, you can do better, try this and that “. A bit weirded out by her answer, we then said we just wanted tea and a cookie. Then she replied “you didn’t come here just for a cookie, you can find cookies everywhere, order something else!”. I wanted to reply “then why are you selling cookies?” but didn’t. We honestly should have left at that moment, but really wanted to sat down after all the walking on State street, so we still ordered teas and apple pie. We sat with our number, waiting to be served. After a good 10min, we thought they had forgotten us, we went to check at the counter, and yes, they had forgotten us, nobody was taking care of our order. The lady was taking pictures of plates but had not started preparing anything yet. 2 min later we got our teas and pie. The tea was the same brand I buy at the grocery store (Stash), nothing special. The apple pie was delicious. But it didn’t make up for the rude and impatient attitude of the lady at the counter. I don’t know if she is the owner, but she should definitely do better.

First time here. Had breakfast outside. They have a most delicious crab cake eggs benedict, the eggs were perfectly cooked. Hubby thoroughly enjoyed his breakfast croissant sandwich. The few desserts we took with us to go were light, flaky and totally worth the extra calories. A piece of advice - avoid eating inside your car. The puff pastry layers will shatter and fly everywhere, just like sand from the beach. With over 300 miles to go we couldn't wait until we got home. Yeah, made a good mess in the car.

I loved it when my parents took me here as a little girl while growing up in Montecito....I no longer live in that part of Paradise but I order online regularly for special get togethers or just for myself to enjoy a taste of homemade hometown goodness. I cant say enough about this wonderful Danish Restaurant and Bakery, the family vibe is comforting and their food and desserts are amazing. Even shipped the quality is 100%. Thank you Andersen's for still being a part of my life for all of these years!

Beautiful venue - But sadly feels neglected. White linens were dirty with paper overlaid which was also dirty. We snuck a clean paper from another table. I ordered coffee- was good and strong. Came in a lovely pot & poured out by the server. Scrambled eggs were fluffy and unflavoured, potatoes seasoned enough for the eggs to taste nice. Sausage was good as was bacon. Show stopper was the small dish of apple w smoked ham. That was delicious. Sadly the bakery/restaurant was cold to sit and eat in. We kept our coats on. Would we return… no. I really wanted to love this place & the experience but it missed the mark for me in too many areas. Dirty, cold, thin cutlery and pricey. Quiche was creamy and tasty. Desserts were average. Food was average. Cutlery was very thin - the cheapest I’ve seen in a sit down establishment = odd choice. The servers did a decent job and seemed pleasant. It wouldn’t take much to make this an amazing little place…

The Andersen's Restaurant & Bakery is a great place to eat. We were fortunate to get a table. You order at the counter, and they give you a number to put on your table. The ordering process was efficient, as was the table service. The food was excellent. I had their famous quiche. It was much tastier than the quiches at ordinary restaurants. My wife had French toast, also excellent. She gave me a taste. I recommend The Andersen's Restaurant & Bakery.

A nice outdoor dining area serving traditional danish bakery and american food. Our food was delivered pretty quickly and the portions were huge.

This is my go-to brunch spot in Santa Barbara and I always order the Viking platter. I love Scandinavian food and this dish has got a little bit of everything. The herring is amazing. The pate portion size is also very generous. My favorite part is it's served with their made in-house pumpernickel bread. It's too bad they don't sell the bread in loaves, because I cannot find anything comparable anywhere in Santa Barbara.

They were very kind, offering a sample of the two pastries we asked for. The coffee and the tea were very good, and so the pastries (the strawberry and cream cake had real cream), not the usual trash you get at Starbucks and the like.

This restaurant is one of the restaurants I love the most in the entire WORLD!!! Hits my semi-European taste buds so perfectly that I'm on earthly heaven! The pastries out of this shop are to die for. I don't believe anywhere doss pastry so perfectly in California or maybe in the US. I take a boat load of pastries every time I'm here! Such an epic store. Can't wait to move to Santa Barbara to be close to here all the time.

Too highfalutin for me. Eggs Benedict was 22 bucks and mostly tasted like cheese. Holindaise sauce was tasteless. Who puts cheese on a Benedict. My wife got the good morning breakfast which reminded me of some sterile Norwegian breakfast. Never again

The appearance of the restaurant is gorgeous! You can decide to seat inside or on the street and enjoy the sunshine. It’s my first time trying Danish bread and pastries, and I think those are flavorful! If you have a sweet tooth, you must have some food here!

The staff was super nice! The food was great, so was the service. Everyone was very friendly, their presentation was amazing!!! I will definitely be coming here again.

Brunch is very good; bakery items are spectacular. Clearly very high-quality ingredients (real butter, cream, and marzipan) and just excellent on terms of taste. Almost every trip to or through Santa Barbara necessitates a stop here and if family knows I'm driving through, I have to pick up an order for them, too. French waffles are an excellent place to start.

We were able to sample some of Andersen's decadent desserts at the DIGS event at the Santa Barbara Zoo. First and foremost, their booth was overflowing with decadent goodness. The presentation was fabulous, all sorts of goodies to sample. We took a piece of marzipan buttering, a honey cookie with Earl Grey icing and a simple butter cookie. Everything was divine. First thing this morning I logged on to their website to find that they ship nationwide. I am so excited to send their scrumptious desserts to family in the mid-west and staff across California. What a find!

I got a slice of the butter ring with marzipan and apple cake (layered, and amazing), and the Boo Tart has chocolate and top is apricot. Also got Scandinavian duck with red cabbage, baked apple, mashed potato and port wine reduction to go. $72 of food
