No fuss pizza joint. We ordered OG pizza and two salads and all of it was delicious. The pizzas are thin crust pizzas so it came out quick. The OG pizza was a little spicy from the sausages and the smoked mozzarella added a little complexity to the pizza. The salads were well dressed and abundant. One salad and a pizza would have been enough for two not too hungry people. Would definitely recommend and will visit again when we come to visit.

The pizza was amazing! A great finish to the day. We ordered the strawberry lemonade, as well, which complemented the pizza perfectly. The arugula and strawberry salad was also stellar. And what really tied the meal together was ambiance of the outdoor dining. Definitely one of the best in Santa Barbara!

Very disappointed this time!! Got a text that pizza was ready 15min before time set in my order. I immediately *called*, employee led me to believe they would "fire a new one" ready 5 min later than original set time. Turns out they just decided to "keep it warm". Pizza was half burnt and lukewarm. Look at that burnt crust!! Terrible customer service, basically lied to us and presented us with the burnt result. It's a shame because we used to love their *butternut* squash pizza.

Do not sleep on LP when craving pizza! Ingredients are fresh and flavorful. One of the best pizzas in SB, hands down. Butcher Shop was a great “meat lovers” choice. Frose was delicious and the strawberry lemonade was the best I’ve ever had.

Came here after my friend had a intimate SB courthouse ceremony. Public parking garage a block away (free the Monday we were there). Walk up to order and food is brought to your outdoor table; heaters and patio umbrellas available. The casual outdoor ambiance was perfect for the low-key vibe of the evening. The service was friendly and quick to serve the drinks for our party of 12, however, the food took some time and was served staggered with some folks getting their food quite a bit before others. The wood-fired cauliflower was good but semi-drowning in brown butter. I'm a huge fan of mushrooms and was excited for the roasted maitake mushroom pizza but the sweetness of the squash and white truffle cream overpowered the umami of the maitake; the sweet overtook the savory and it was kind of a let down. Not terrible but not great either. Just meh.

Pizza was pretty good, but I really liked the cheese board! Outdoor eating space was shady and cute, food didn’t take too long to come out, staff was cool, and while I wasn’t completely blown away, I would happily eat here again. Location is convenient with being so close to State and Stearns Wharf, but as is to be expected, parking is kind of a struggle so plan ahead!

The seating area is really nice because of the flowers, decor, and cleanliness. The bathroom is shared with The Lark next door. I really appreciate it when businesses supply self-serve water cups. I ordered the Margherita and Californian pizzas. The crust is really thin and crispy and has a nice smokey taste from the oven. I personally think the sauce on the Margherita was a bit too tart. The Californian was super interesting and had a unique flavor I've never tried before. The pesto and pine nuts were really tasty, but the lemon ricotta was pretty overpowering. Otherwise, both dishes were pretty tasty. We ordered 2 pizzas for 4 people (each pizza has 6 slices).

On our short weekend visit to Santa Barbara we got hit by heavy rain. Then came Sunday and sun showed up. We started on our journey of sampling food, wine and beer. The best of the best was Lucky penny Californian pizza. I have not had a pizza for many years. Do not care about it. But this pizza was a delight to all your senses. It taste good, smell good and it look so delicious and pretty. The good thing you can order it and have in any of others brewery, winery or distillery. Give them a visit.

The ambiance and service was great! All outdoor patio dining, lots of shade. We ordered a margarita pizza, Caesar salad +chicken+avocado and potato chips. Everything was great!

Love the panini and pizza!! The flatbread is gorgeous! You can feel the ingredients are fresh. It’s my first coming here for the pizza, and I think panini is so good!!! It’s juicy but not greasy. The beer they provide is also great!! A nice place for chill out and hangout with friends and family.

Great pizza, located in a perfect area. The farmer's market pizza was a fresh take on pizza with a super flavorful nut-free pesto. The salad was packed with quality ingredients and had a tasty dressing that complimented the rest of the salad. The staff was courteous and help us as it was our first time visiting there place. I would recommend this place for tourist and locals (but I assume most locals already know it).

Details of the restaurant is crazy. The walls are full of real penny’s. Food is light and amazing . I loved farmer market pizza and cheese is what I loved here. One of the best wood fire pizza. Strawberry lemonade was cool to beat the summer heat and burrata made our day with the amazing Bazil honey combination. Should try the starters and pizza’s here!. Hi just adding my 2nd visit experience- the pizza was too thin it was just crisp- I preferred Californian pizza - they prepared so bad. Not sure if they ran out of pizza dough or something. I am unsure. Please see the pizza crust of my first time visit and the 2 nd visit I took home.

Great service, amazing pizza (even the gf crust was incredible), and delicious wine slushy! It's a busy spot and I can see why, but it was worth the wait. Will definitely stop by again next time I'm in town.

Nice European styled pizza - according to a friend from Europe.. The gluten free option tastes great! We were five people and shared two pizza: one with mushroom and hazelnut & the other with pineapple.. both surprisingly good and the vibe also nice!

Great pizza joint located in the funk zone near downtown Santa Barbara. Ordering was fast and easy and all the staff were really friendly! They recommended the margarita pizza, roasted fingerling potatoes and a frośe which I upgraded to a double. Even though it was busy, all the food came out super fast and it did not disappoint! Omg the aioli was a such great pairing with the potatoes. Even the manager stopped by while cleaning up to ask us how we were doing. We had such a great time here that we came back again while on our trip. This will definitely become a staple stop every time I come back to Santa Barbara.

My wife and I had pizza here 3 years ago. Still remember how delicious the pizza was. And we haven't been able to find a better pizza anywhere else. So, we're really looking forward to our next LA trip this summer and will drive to SB to eat here again!

Set in a fun group of restaurants, Lucky Penny has friendly staff, the pizzas are baked in a wood fired oven to give the crust a crispy, chewy crust with delicious toppings

I love that they covered their building in pennies, and overall the experience was pleasant. But if you're a pizza joint, ya gotta have great pizza. It was just okay. I would not go back for it, as it was boring enough we had to salt it! Loved the beet salad and strawberry lemonade. Service was friendly enough.

Such a cute and cozy place to go solo or with a date to share a personal pizza. 🍕 Got the one with garlic confit and my soul has ascended to another plain.

The space is nice and pleasant. Easy to be there with the family * small kids:) The salad was spectacular. The pizza… not so much. Pizzas have too much crust (sometimes burnt) not crispy base. The homemade drink either. They forgot part of our order as well.

Got the Italian salad. Good portion size. A little dressing heavy for my taste but overall good.
