Absolutely incredible! Nothing I write can accurately relay how remarkable the food is, or how magical my experience was. The food is the most elevated vegan dishes I've ever experienced. I'm from the east coast so this includes places in Boston and NYC. I was passing through, and lucky enough, found Mesa Verde randomly via Google. I was extremely pleasantly surprised. I'm fairly certain if I brought my non-vegan friends they would be blown away as well! What really made the encounter so magical was my waiter. Edgar was the type of person who created a container for my experience to organically evolve. He's a huge fan of the artistry involved with each dish, which made for an authentic connection. His genuine and down-to-earth interactions made this one of the most memorable dinner's I've had. Bravo to the rest of the staff, too; my water cup never reached empty. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 I cannot wait to return. I will visit, and/or go out of my way to experience this gem again. (Thank you, so very much!)

Huge disappointment. I was really looking forward to dining here after reading the reviews and seeing that they even have a Michelin star. We sat down at lunch time and the prices were VERY high given the fact that we were looking at pretty basic sandwiches, bowls and tacos. But the hype was real. We ordered the Fried mushrooms sandwich ($27) and polenta fries ($20). The fries were absolutely tasteless and dry! But we were hungry, and they were at least edible. They were served with beans and zucchini on top that just did not make any sense and also tasted spoiled. I’m sorry to say that the mushroom sandwich was horrendous. It had some brown sauce in it that tasted very bitter. It came with a side of plain roasted potatoes. Maybe the chef or someone was having a bad day but I will never be returning. I’m from LA where there’s plenty of upscale/fine dining vegan restaurants with justifiable prices and excellent taste.

One of the best food and drinks we’ve had since turning vegan over a year ago! Interesting ingredients, creative choices, perfectly cooked and incredibly delicious! Service was extremely attentive and kind, super welcoming and warm, we loved it! We’ll honestly be back tomorrow to enjoy the whole experience once again before leaving Santa Barbara! 🤍 Would highly recommend this place, no matter if you’re vegetarian, vegan or a meat eater - you’re gonna love it!

This is a really good vegan restaurant in Santa Barbara. The place is slightly high and in terms of cost. The average cost of an entree is 23 USD. All dishes are plant-based. We had the polenta fries, empanadas, fried mushroom and brussel sprout tacos, street tacos, baklava and spice tea. The food in general was really good and the hostess was kind and professional. I really liked the polenta fries and the empanadas. They were mildly spiced and really flavorful. The fried mushroom tacos were really oily and greasy which made it difficult to eat. The jackfruit based street tacos were tasty as well. The baklava was decent although the pomegranate and lemon syrup based sauce was bit over-tangy. Also the hostess did not mention that a 20% gratuity was automatically charged and this was not mentioned in the menu either.

The service is nice, but not the most attentive. The food is great! It’s all plant based, so don’t expect it to taste like the animal version of things. They are very creative with their ingredients. My favorite thing is the quesadilla.

Amazing food - we always stop by as we head to or from LA. A must try. Their fried mushroom sandwich is amazing. So is everything else in the menu.

Best Vegan food Restaurant in our area. It has gluten free options also. Everything is delicious full of flavor and very healthy too!! Mesa verde is the best vegan restaurant I’ve been to. I Highly recommend it!!

Mesa Verde nails it at all levels. Great food that makes you want to take the next bite! I kept asking myself “Is this really Vegan?” because it was just too good. The flat bread with the hummus was killer. The chocolate cake dessert was excellent. Presentation on all the food was excellent. Service was perfect. The outdoor dining area was nice. A must visit for Santa Barbara.

Foodie friends recommended this wonderful restaurant so we had to give it a try while we were in Santa Barbara. We ordered brussel sprout, avocado and mushroom tacos (have you ever heard of that combination before?). The brussel sprouts were a little more oily and fried than we would have liked. We also had jackfruit picadillo empanadas with pickled cabbage. The tanginess balanced out the jackfruit perfectly. Our server was amazing as well!

Great food this time! I’ve tried this place before but it was really busy that time and food was just okay I couldn’t even remember what I ordered. This time this place nailed it with their food! I loved the fettuccine alfredo, it’s so hard to find dairy free entrees and this completely vegan place did a great job! And the baklava was also delicious!

Fresh and delicious. I have dairy allergies. I have a hard time finding a restaurant that will have allergy safe food for me. It was so hard to choose from all the amazing food and the menu. I got the brussel sprout and mushroom tacos. Rose lemonade. Baklava dessert. I am beyond satisfied with everything I ordered. I need to come back very soon. Thank you for your healthy and delicious creations.

We went to different full plant based restaurants during our trip. Outside really good mexican vegan restaurants, this is special. Nice mix of flavours and ingredients with big portions (most of plates looked small in the pics). Service was good during a not busy day. Recommended!

Green garden oasis, beautiful vegan food made with care, and stellar service! I had the street tacos: amazing jackfruit carnitas on homemade tortillas. My husband had the impossible burrito: it was impossibly good. So happy we made a point to visit Mesa Verde-we’ll be back!!!
