This restaurant decoration is so beautiful I ever seen. Good colorful roses on building outside. Small hard chairs and small table to sit outside. Medium and small tables/chairs to sit inside. There are flags hanging on. So peaceful and chilling to eat and drink wine. No interruptions. Prefect!

The set up was nice - cute courtyard with lots of plants and lighting. Food was just ok. I had the fajitas which were flavorful but oily. The waitresses seemed over booked.. they forgot our guacamole and drinks showed up late. Our good showed up cold and had to be sent back. ๐Ÿ˜’ There was a taco bar which seemed very popular.. we didn't try it.

I was disappointed in this restaurant. The food is very gourmet and not traditional Mexican food. The outdoor setting is really nice and I can understand why the restaurant is rented out for special occasions. Our waiter was very nice and wanted to make sure everything was OK. If you like gourmet Mexican food you will enjoy this restaurant.

Phenomenal. We were lucky to have had our wedding reception at El Paseo in June of 2021. Troy and his team were beyond amazing, and we are so grateful to them for making our day so spectacular. Troy and Alex, the lead chef, planned out our entire evening - and everything was perfect. The decor was stunning, the food was absolutely fantastic, and all staff members were kind + FUN. They truly went above and beyond. We genuinely cannot recommend El Paseo enough, and we look forward to returning for many, many future dinners.

This hacarne s to be the best taco tuesday place in town. such a great location with high ceilings and the retractable roof. what?! yeah totally amazing. Get there early at 5pm to beat the rush and you have a great table with a great atmosphere. And this is just the place! The food is awesome too. For just $10...it's all you can eat of delicious taco buffet. Unreal. I don't think there is a better taco tuesday option town. If you get there early, you can sit at the bar and have a drink. Another great thing is that they don't charge you for soda water....my go to bev since I don't drink....the taco meat is great....they are all good...soft tortillas and hard shell. this place knows how to do it....and if you like spicy salsa, yeah they got that too. service is good, and they refill your drinks and chips often. Don't know why this place doesn't have 5 stars from everyone.

AMAZING! Chef's choice buffet for our business farewell dinner for about 85 people was outstanding. The atmosphere is stunningly beautiful, and the chef's choice of the entire menu was simply the best food we had all week. Appetizer empanadas, marinated chicken and beef on a stick, fresh ahi tuna Hors d'oeuvres, chicken pasta (yum!) Beef ribeyes, salad greens with tomato and avocado, the vest roasted vegetable medley I have ever had and folks said the salmon was the best they had had on the entire trip. But wait, there's more! Desserts included chocolate sauced crispy wonderful churros, amazing fruit pizza, mini creme brulee and chocolate bombs. Super friendly staff! Fantastic food - I would eat here everyday!

Taco Tuesday is my favorite day of the week! Get there before 6 and they always have a table for you. How can anyone go wrong with 15 dollar all u can eat tacos! The servers could be a bit nicer and less robotic, and if they added a desert table like they do brunch, I would give 5 stars all the way. The homemade tortillas are ๐Ÿ”ฅ. Don't forget to get the brunch on Sundays it's ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Very yummy all you can eat tacos $12.95. Atmosphere is always great and service is always on point. Food is very yummy only reason for the missing star is that they ran out of the vegetarian option and there were no other choices. Had to only eat rice and tortillas.

The GOOD ... beautiful historic building, look at the picture.. beautiful. Good customer service. The bad ..water down drinks, the food menu is very limited. The item I ordered was bland. The kitchen needs to taste what they are cooking there is something missing it's MEXICAN FOOD it's supposed to be full of flavor. Please revisit your menu. There so much potential.

A Santa Barbara legend, El Paseo is not only a unique location (with indoor/outdoor vines and trees f growing through the ground) but also has an amazing team for events. Your wedding meal doesnโ€™t need to be from the Mexican menu, but could be a variety of dinner offerings that your guests will love. Weโ€™ve never had our couples choose the same wedding menu and they have all been delicious!

We went to the Sunday brunch. Aside from the great food! The service was amazing! The manager was really nice and the rest of the staff were simply amazing. I will be returning here again and again when Iโ€™m in town.

Brunch is amazing here, you can expect delicious food and excellent service! The buffet has a wonderful assortment of popular breakfast favorites, traditional Mexican dishes, fruit, and I can't forget to mention the chocolate fountain with ready made strawberries and marshmallows on a stick. Yum! Located in the heart of downtown, it's perfect to take a much needed stroll after such an amazing meal.

Excellent mexican restaurant with delicious food. The rice is a little dry for my taste and the beans lack salt. The carne asada tacos could be cooked longer and more charred. Excellent service and beautiful ambiance

Went here for a wedding. It's a stunning venue. The appetizers were good. The main course wasn't so appealing. The dessert was yummy. The wait staff are very attentive. If you leave your plate or cup for a second It's picked up and gone. We had our waters removed multiple times... but I can appreciate their efficiency. Did not eat in the regular restaurant. I attended a catered wedding at this venue.

This place was awesome! Amazing and tasty breakfast plus bottomless mimosas. The building is very beautiful too! Definitely will visit again next time Iโ€™m in the area.

We loved it, gluten-free items were clearly labeled on their menu making ordering easy. The fresh made tortillas were the best.

Pretty tasty and spicy solid Mexican fusion. Food here is spicy, like an authentic Mexican restaurant. Drinks are good. Ambience is 10/10. Service is great.

The atmosphere is one of the best in Santa Barbara. Service was amazing! We went for taco Tuesday and the all you can eat concept is great, I just think the food could taste a little better. I wish there were more bean options (only black beans are offered), and the rice could be better. But overall it's a great experience and fun meal.

El Paseo is a Santa Barbara classic that needs help in the kitchen. I ate there twice in 2022. The room which has a comfortable patio feel that is always enjoyable. The service is also usually good. Thank you last night Angel for your excellent work at the bar. It's the food that is the let down. Last night's steak fajitas were uninspired. The tortillas were blah. And the meal just sub-par compared to the many excellent Mexican food places in SB. We will return if the food improves.

We ordered the guacamole & steak quesadilla as appetizers, and hubby had the steak enchilada, and I had the seafood enchilada. Mine was a little spicy. The black beans were really good. We shared both apps and were so full we could barely eat our main course. Our waiter, Angel was really good at waiting on us. The atmosphere was beautiful.

Aesthetically, it has beautiful themed interior. A little touristy but this is that kind of town. It's a good place to bring your out of town guests. The service is good as the wait staff are attentive. The food is... Okay.

Nowhere on their website, nor the outside of their restaurant did I see that there was a reservation required. There were only hours for the restaurant online. It also says it closes at 8pm at night on Sunday. However, the woman who walked over to us told us we needed a reservation and that they were closing soon anyways, it was 1:00pm. Ridiculous. Lol. Definitely not coming there againโ€” and by the looks of their reviews, it isnโ€™t authentic Mexican food anyways. Donโ€™t waste your time

Beautiful setting in a historic building. Food was amazing and service was friendly. Try the on site handmade tortillas. Only complaint is in the summer months, it can be quite hot and stuffy, fans would be helpful.

Service was great. Should have been a tip there were maybe 8 tables filled on a Saturday night. Food was really not good at all. I regretted going and the ambiance used to be colorful and lively back in the day. Skip this unless you are desperately hungry and don't want to wait at a different restaurant in town.

They have a very good happy hour (half price appetizers and margaritas). Also Tuesdays they have a "all you can eat tacos" for 12 usd! Nice place and great value!
