10/04/2021 I stopped in for some wings and a coke. A pound of Buffalo wings, celery and ranch dressing was $13. A coke (refills included) was $3.50. The wings came out super fast. So I did not wait long for my food. The restaurant and pub area is kept exceptionally clean. The restrooms were very clean and tidy as well. There is dining indoors and outdoors as well as bar seating. There was a fire lit in the fireplace that added ambiance. And you can also play pool here. There is a Happy Hour menu M-F 3-6pm. I was able to find parking on the street and walked to the restaurant. Patrick was my server. He was very attentive to me as well as the other patrons. Thank you!

This is such a fun place! Lots of pool tables and plenty of room to spread out. The staff members were very friendly and they had a great beer selection. 10/10 would recommend and we'll definitely be returning to this spot.

Dargan's is the perfect place to have a drink with friends, relax after work or after walking down State St. They have a great menu and all items are made to order and delicious. Their beer on tap selection is great!

Not that many places around here have Guinness on tap. Also the food is pretty good. We ordered the "fish bites" which I expected would just be some frozen mediocre fish sticks, but they were actually really awesome. They only had one waitress working but she was amazing and we never had to wait for anything. I will be back!

Food was better than expected. Service was very fast and very slow at the same time. Atmosphere was superb, just what we wanted.

Fish bites, Guinness onion soup, chocolate bread pudding, and an Irish cider draft to drink.

Amazing place nestled just a few feet from the main State Street Pedestrian Walk in Santa Barbara, California. My sister and I were in town for a weekend wedding and were the only people there for late lunch on a Thursday. Food and service were top notch, and it was a nice enjoyable atmosphere to watch part of the Wimbledon matches. We went back late Saturday after the wedding, and the place was packed and rocking like the best bar I've ever been to, and believe me, I've been to a bunch. Absolute great place to visit, eat, and party.

Nice Irish bar. The food and atmosphere were good and prices were reasonable. The service was bad, with one server ignoring us and another drinking beer, but it appeared to be an issue among wait staff that will hopefully be rectified.

I’ve been here for lunch a couple times always awesome.. foods fresh and tasty, they try to hurry to fit in lunch patrons on 30min break.. overall awesome experience and matches food. Rosemary chicken sandwich pictured is phenomenal. Looking forward to returning on a weekend

Very cool Irish pub experience. The bartender puts most wait staff to shame. How he managed the bar and tables and still provided exceptional customer service was amazing! The food is excellent and there is plenty of seating even with 3 pool tables. Restaurant is attached, and sliding door to it closes when things get noisy later in the evening. This does tend to make things a wee bit warm in there. Karaoke on Thursday night. Nice chill vibe up until 730p-8p, then it gets busy and up tempo. I'm very glad I finally got to visit this Santa Barbara institution - well worth the visit and will visit again!

Great music. Cold beer. Food was pretty scrumptious too! We came in from Kansas City and just wanted a fun casual even to relax after traveling all day. Dargan’s hit all the marks!

Very popular Irish bar with a wide variety of beers. They do have live entertainment but check ahead to confirm. Outdoor seating is available. Fun pub!

Patrick is from Ireland, but that doesn't excuse him from acting like a fascist. If he is no good at shooting pool, he shouldn't take it out on locals. "Go back to Ireland" is something I'd never thought I'd say being of Irish decent, but this guy is no example of an ideal Irishman in the states. You are misrepresenting your people and ours. You are a coward and shameful, that no respectable establishment should employ.

We hadn’t eaten in Dargens since we were there for a quick bite and a congenial evening lecture. I thought then, I wanted to stop back sometime. It wasn’t fancy nor was it trying to be cute or nostalgic. It is just an honest very homey place to gather, but the surprise is not only can you get a nice selection of beers and ales, they have truly delicious food from the best corned beef Ruben sandwich I have ever eaten to the most savory traditional corned beef and cabbage dinner. It is traditional with an individual chef’s touch in the gravy and wonderful spices. Of course the key to the success of these dishes is the fabulous cut and prepared corned beef. Now there is corned beef and then there is meat that is really Corned Beef and this is definitely the best. I say this not only as a reviewer who loves this dish but as a top notch butcher’s niece who was a major distributor of quality meats in the New York metropolitan area. I should also add that they have an additional diverse menu of salads and sandwiches. The ones we tried were very good. This is a no frills place with food that could match some of the best restaurants in town.. Somehow being low key adds to its specialness.

Lots of tvs made for a good viewing experience of the World Cup games! Not my usual go to but definitely a good vibe for some traditional bar food and sports games.

Busy bar on weekends, sloppy bartending ordered two of the same drink and watched them fill one up with club 3/4 of the glass and other half way. Don't open a tab, impossible to get closed out.

This bar has been our favorite spot since moving to Santa Barbara last year. They have an awesome alleyway with plenty of spaces seating outside, and the staff is super friendly. The food is excellent, and it’s just off State Street so it never feels completely packed. We usually get the shepherds pie, but just realized that their salads can be served as a wrap!

Great Irish pub in the middle of downtown Santa Barbara! Try the Shepherd's Pie it was good! Nice lowkey atmosphere during the day time. Cheers!

We brought my mother-in-law for lunch. She is English and we were relieved that she enjoyed the food. The food was hearty and we were very full. It’s a very spacious and clean pub. They also had outdoor dining. We had very good service.
