With SO much parking (and FREE) plus access to clean bathrooms, water refill stations, beach showers, and even dog showers, this beach was amazing! We went in mid June (2023) and while the weather was overcast, it was pleasant. The beach can be a little rocky (depending on tides and the surf) but it's amazing for all of you beach day needs. Plus, if you keep your eye out, you may spot seals, dolphins, and whales (like we did). Keep in mind, one side of the beach is dog friendly [unleashed) (they're so adorable!) and the other side requires dogs to be on leashes.

Took my baby girl Cleo here for her last trip and she seemingly enjoyed it. She made plenty of friends, enjoyed the open area with all the smells. It's a really great place to bring your fur babies

Beautiful! Small sandy public beach framed by rocky bluffs with facilities, free parking, off-leash dog area and excellent restaurant/bar right on the beach all located adjacent to affluent community. Water is clean. Surf is gentle. Breeze is light. Plan ahead, as one can imagine, these wonderful features draw a crowd.

The most fantastic off leash dog are we have ever been to ! There is parking and if it’s full - just park on any street! There is a $10 dog wash station if you’re into that !

Waiting to be seated at the Boat House, we explored the beach area. This is a beach that has cans for recycling, trash, and dog waste. The beach also has a designated side for dogs on leashes and with no leashes. Benches are plentiful for sitting, but with strong winds, no one sits too long. Too cold. We saw lots of different dogs, and people, while waiting. All were interesting, especially the folks in shorts in 57° weather. The seagulls were plentiful - enjoying the wind currents and looking for handouts. This beach in the warmer weather must be packed! Also liked that one could get an accessible wheelchair for wandering on the beach. Regina would love that! Bathrooms are available and we almost went in there to wait. No wind! But we didn’t. I did find an ideal spot to wait, in the sun and out of the wind - behind the restrooms!! Then Niece found secret staircase, next to restaurant, out of wind with stone benches. Wonderful find. Look for it!

Love love Arroyo Burro Dog Beach. Beach allows for dogs to be off leash. Has to to be about 100 yards away from the main area. Enjoy watching dogs playful nature being off leash. Casual vibe and dogs are responsible and respectful. 👏 Applaud to their dog owners! If you find yourself in SB and have a fur baby, make an effort to go to Burro Beach!

Never a full moment on the beach! Great place to take your pup for socializing and a long long walk. There is natural tar on the beaches- some days it is worse than others. But it is natural. '...the COP marine hydrocarbon seep field which has been active for at least half a million years.' Baby oil, coconut oil... And dawn soap will get you all cleaned up.

Fantastic small local Beach also known as Hendry's Beach. Parking can be tight on beautiful days. It is dog friendly going to the left, not dog friendly going to the right. Make sure if you bring a dog ,that it's well socialized off leash. And don't forget to visit the doggie bath wash so that you can get the sand off of your dog when you're done enjoying the day. It is also home to The Boathouse restaurant which has great food but they're always seems to be an hour long wait.

A great dog beach with a beautiful view. There were plenty of pups roaming around with their owners. The parking is free but fills up quickly. I would recommend this dog beach to anyone :)

My husband and I went with our dog. It was his first time at a beach off leash and we had a hard time recalling him because he was having such a good time. I'm a huge rock enthusiast. I found so many rocks that my shorts were being weighed down. The beach was also fairly clean. I only saw one or two pieces of trash. I highly recommend bringing your dogs/kids/family to this beach

Beautiful beach! My doggie had the best time off leash, playing with other dogs! Onsite parking. Free!

Perfect spot for our pups first time at the beach. We had fun dog watching and running from the waves; be aware that there are LOTS of people who walk along this beach so if your pup is reactive to strangers this is not the spot for you.

No charge to enjoy these beautiful views. Parking was tight for larger pickup trucks and Suv.

One of the best dog beach. Off leashed to the left and leashed to the right. Plenty of parking and lots of dogs.

Pleasant beach with an off-leash dog area, cliffs, estuary and tidal pools full of life. Public restrooms available next to the Boathouse restaurant. Parking can be challenging on weekends.

We love this beach for many reasons but the biggest one of course is that the dogs can go and run ! The have a fab dog washing station too in the parking lot near the entrance. The Boathouse restaurant has friendly staff if you need a snack or a cocktail.

I love this beach so much! I can bring my husky and let him run free off leash and play with other dogs. Also, it has a nice restaurant right on it with great food and drink. Sadly, no dogs allowed.

We found this place some good years back when we had a dog, since it is a dog friendly beach. Sadly, our dog passed away 2 summers ago, but we still come to remember the good times we had together while making new memories with our children.

Pretty but there were lots of jumping bugs in the sand everywhere, couldn’t lay on my towel and chill. + there’s oil spills on the beach so you get black marks on your shoes and feet that you need to take off with olive oil.

Awesome for off the least dogs , lots of other four legged friends to run around, get messy and enjoy a beach full power. Close by a dog bath where the doggie can be shampooed and dried off.

Worth the visit yearly. Favorite serene local beach when in SB. Tall cliffs, ocean air and open spaces. Great beach for boogie boarding and building sand castles. Visited the beach with 8 year old and 11 year old. Close walk to public restroom and water fountain. Parking impossible to find if arriving after 1pm. West side beach ok leashed dogs. East side beach ok unleashed dog. Sign clearly mark the dog boundaries. Dog wash station available by front parking lot entrance. No shower station for humans. Pack food, snacks and water. One seafood restaurant$$ on the beach.

Picturesque beach for off leash dogs with breeze. Cafe, free restrooms, and self-service dog wash for a fee. Cons: no shade, oil in water (offshore rigs), seaweed, beached sick seal in distress, parking is a bit limited. Note: please keep people and pets back 50 feet from marine animals. Also, if you see one please report it.

This is one of my favorite beaches in California! My dog had a blast playing with all of the other dogs, and everyone was so friendly. Amazing sea shells, with absolutely stunning scenery!!

Public beach with parking, though a little hike down to beach. Dogs are allowed. Perfect place to watch the sunset three months of the year for sunsets over the water instead of land. You can walk for a long ways on the water's edge.

Great place to take your dog off leash to the beach in Santa Barbara Ca. One side is for dogs off leash and the other is on leash. Restaurant and bathrooms, feet washing station and down the parking lot from the beach is a self pay dog washing station...brilliant! It got pretty crowded so go early if you want to find parking. Have fun.

Also called Hendry's Beach by the locals. Amazing beach where you can let your dog run leash free

Sand beach with lots of small stones. Parking is tough at prime times but easy enough at sunset
