The greatest park in Santa Barbara County by far. I only recently discovered it from a friend. It sits atop a big hill on Las Positas Rd between Hendry's beach and Modoc. There is an area at the lower level for playing sports or walking my dog but the true awe begins at the top. It is there that the best views of a 180Β°vantage point is and it's truly stunning to see everywhere from East Beach to downtown, the Rivera, the San Ynez mountains, Arroyo Grande Beach and far over the ocean where I could see out to the islands. There is a beautiful tribute to our veterans and my very favorite part. It's a massive sculpture carved out of a single large and beautiful white rock. It is a tribute to people who have suffered from addiction. I found this just as I was approaching my 25th year of being clean from heroin. The woman crouched over in grief really touched me as I saw her as being both myself when I was using to my mom who broken in every way in the past. People are climbing to reach the top as another person looms over the edge seemingly about to lend a hand to the others who are climbing not only from the cliffside but at an daunting angle that is slightly leading away from the top. It is covered with handprints from dozens of people who are faced with destruction of the disease. Truly stunning and from the top I went on a gorgeous walk to the back side of the Mesa from the very end of West Valerio and up to Cliff Drive, down to Hendry's and back to the entrance of Ellings Park via Las Positas between Hendry's and Modoc . There is something there for all ages and people who will find something there that resonates with them. Amazing!

Beautiful park that has great views. The baseball/softball fields are well maintained as well as the rest of the park, and restrooms. The baseball/softball fields each have fences (during league play some of the fences have different rules then others). There are picnic benches perched around BBQs, and there is a playground for the youngsters.

Paragliding, mtb, hiking, softball field with lights, bathrooms and dirt jump park on the backside. Elings has it all! Just wish they had showers and would remain open all night.

It's a great place to be, family friendly and pets as well, the playground is a little outdated, a few accessories broken with sharp edges that makes it dangerous, but over all great place, the right place for private partys..

Beautiful views, mountain biking trails for learning to ride or practice your skills, a training hill for paragliding, and miles of walking trails. This park adds so much to the Mesa community.

The best view of Santa Barbara, well one of them. Only at times, I had to climb a fence but it was an easy one to climb and dogs have to be a "member'to walk there. That's the only thing I I don't like about it. But its perfect for me. A couple benches scattered around to sit at to watch both sunset and sunrise. This is no the side with the baseball fields. You can access this from that same driveway and walk up the trails to this spot but I didn't even know that it was part of Elings until I got there and saw the sign. I entered from the neighborhood gates. Right now they are open from 7-7:30 but you can squeeze through the gate or hop the fence go be honest. It's so Beautiful the gates should never be shut. A disappointing aspect as it's my understanding that your dog has to be a "member" of the park or you get fined. Lame if you ask me!! Total downfall. But worth the visit for the view.

Great park, played softball there for the last 10 yrs. It was better when they had mountain bike racing, though. It was shut down by NIMBYs, on the other side of Las Positas a while back. Shame that a few, entitled whiners ruined it for everyone else

Incredible park, sonoma had an overwhelming experience here, we meditated a bunch. Only 4 stars cuz some high schoolers were hanging out in the cool colored plastic house thing so we had to wait for 20 minutes before asking them to leave so we could walk through it because everyone else was too socially awkward to do it. but it's a dope park.

Great place for sports and a wedding venue as well. The have nice fields and games ranging from soccer, lacrosse, baseball softball and both men's rugby and women's rugby. The men's rugby club is called the Grunion and the women's rugby club is called the Mermaids. The usually hold rugby training open to anyone on Tuesday and Thursday from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm on the top fields. find both clubs on Facebook and show up to one of their training, it's a work out and great competition for those that like contact sports. Those rugby people sure know how to have a good time!!!

Trails are not marked. The road stops a half mile before where google maps indicates. Open meadows with scrub. Good for biking, but not walking.

Great for Picknicks. Walks. Events. Softball fields and disk golf course. Memorial walk is great. Dog friendly for members and lots of stations. Wish the upper bathrooms would be open through the week and not just for events.

Nice spacious park. Has nice green grass. Went to an event here. It gets chilly, so bring a sweater.

Fun to rip around ok couple different trails that you can ride that are decently maintained. Also a downhill section with some jumps that are super fun to hit!

This review is specifically about the bmx track. I went there with my kid expecting to be able to race but there is no electricity so if it's dark they close and there are no gate starts for the same reason. I also found out that there are not enough people to have any races. If you're not trying to race and just ride around it's fine but very lame compared to almost every bmx track we have been to so far. Thumbs down. My son was SO disappointed.

Gorgeous area to watch my friends get married! The wooden deck feels like a tree house! So quaint.

This place really does have something for almost everyone. The fields are kept in pristine condition for which seems to be year round. There are RC car race tracks as well as "air-space" with a runway/ landing for the RC pilots. There are several downhill mountain biking trails and hiking or dog walking trails for those on the mellower pace. Did I mention the paragliding lessons that you can also receive from 2 different schools here as well? I went with Fly Above All Paragliding , but Eagle is the other one. The views are pretty remarkable as well. Especially from the air!
