What a totally awesome day at this park! We went to go see our friend's band play (Rey Fresco) and the vibe all day was perfect!

Peaceful city park with redwood trees, blocks from downtown. While Alameda Park pales in comparison to the adjacent Kid's World and Alice Keck, it's a good spot for group workouts or a large party meet-up spot.

Alameda Park is adjacent to the Alice Keck Park. The Keck covers one square block. The Alameda covers two square blocks, but the two parts of the Alameda Park are quite different from each other. The part of the Alameda Park that's adjacent to the Keck Park has picnic areas and a great 3 dimensional playground for young children. The other square block of the Alameda Park has a fenced-in bandstand, a few benches, grass and trees. It's well maintained. Some of the trees look like they're older than the Park. This section of the park is frequented mainly by homeless or homeless adjacent folks. At least, that's the way it was the day I was there.

Great park with ample space. it includes a massive children's playground called kids world which is great for children. There is a washroom in the area and steer vendors selling snacks

Beautiful park! Really enjoy that it's sectioned off for toddlers and younger kids. My 2 year old had fun and wasn't run over by big kids, haha! Great park, great people.

Great place to bring nervous dogs that struggle to pee in public since there is a lot of green space. For humans, the restrooms are clean and well stocked with supplies although they may be closed during inclement weather. The park does attract the unhoused after dark but they generally mind their own business.

I attended Earth Day at Alameda Park. It was a large collection of exhibits from government agencies, conservation groups and product vendors. There were entertainment activities including music, beer and wine. The event was well attended and I collected lots of information. The park accommodated the event well. There was plenty of space in an aesthetic environment. A very enjoyable day.

Nice quaint park with a cool pond full of turtles on the north side. Small walking trails, super dog friendly, large playground for kids, all kinds of characters walking through the meditate and more.

One of the best parks in Santa Barbara, every time we visit we try to stop here. Kids playground is awesome, one of the few green spots with shade during the dry months!

Great calm place to walk the dog or just enjoy the Santa Barbara weather. Kids world is great for families and can easily entertain kids up to 12. The only real negative is that homeless people will use sleep on the grass but they're pretty calm and don't bother anyone.

Great wooden playground. Very unique. A bit much for a 2.5 year old but solid choice for 4+

I went for the Thursday night meal and they had a taco casserole and water and amazing salad with Caesar dressing for anybody for free! The local churches all take turns to feed the homeless and people camping out! I meant lovely people and even took a couple of them home to enjoy another wonderful conversation! They were traveling all over the country reminding everybody that we are living in the new Israel and the New Jerusalem! Blessed be to all of you dog lovers! Star loves this place!

Alameda is one of three parks all next to each other in a very nice part of downtown Santa Barbara. (Okay, I know that's not rare but still it is a beautiful part of town). It's a nice wide park picnic tables barbecues the whole nine yards great for families friends neighbors strangers and friends to be.. Plus during the Santa Barbara Summer Solstice Celebration it becomes the hub and party Central for that weekend as well as the summit of the parade, and it is awesome!!!

Probably the best playground I've ever seen in terms of size. Big, and something for everyone! And right across for Alice Keck to see the turtles!

Great relaxing spot downtown where you can bring the kids/dog or both and the to enjoy the day. Kids land playground is right here located right across the street from the duck and turtle pond.

Best place to bring the kids. Nice shades. Well maintained park with flushable toilets and clean sinks. We found only roadside Parkings.

Beautiful park, with picnic tables and a few benches. More benches would be nice. Restrooms. Most homeless people there use the shade to lie under the mature beautiful trees. Yesterday one person high on drugs made the use of the restroom impossible.

It only gets four stars because it's so small. Parking is difficult to find. And there aren't too many areas for a picnic. The bathrooms are hideous. It's main strength is in its kids play area. There is a giant wooden structure in the middle of the park. Full of little bridges and tunnels for the kids to explore. Lots of places to climb and slide.

Great park for all kids 12 and below. It was bustling with kids and the ambience was great. Clean bathroom to freshen up also and the park has great places for solitude and painting.

Alameda Park is one of the best kid friendly parks 805 has to offer!! This park features a massive wooden playhouse where kids can run and chase and play hide and seek. It has slides swings and is shaded by century old plum trees that were planted at the cities’s inception. This park is sectioned off in three blocks. Kids world is on one block, the Japanese/Botanical Garden across the street and the third block sits adjacent with a old world pagoda right smack in the middle for music and live events. There’s vendors and Knickknacks for sale and it’s just a great time if you find yourself smack in the middle of Santa Barbara and your looking for a place to let your kids run free. Treat yourself, I did!
