I travel between SoCal and Central Coast and randomly decided to follow a road to this small but worthwhile spot. Parking is free and there are picnic benches and BBQ stands. The beach offers shells, kelp beds, interesting photo opportunities, and a pier. The walk to the water is very easy, there's not a lot of sand to deal with. The pier connects to the other side of the parking lot for ease of access. There are a few disabled parking spots but all spots are within easy walking distance.

Clean, sea gulls didn't snatch our food to the end...guess someone is training them to be nicer. Parking area is small but the park is small...so no issues. Water was great and clean, beautiful. Picnic area available but only for one at a time. Life guard tower (no life guard). Pier present nothing at the end. People were spear fishing...makes you wonder what is lurking though. The Beach is just gorgeous to be at.

People here are enjoying the sunshine, breeze and the beautiful sea seeing! It’s a nice place for families, friends and couples. You can even see the wonderful sunset here. In the weekend, lots of people have bbq and picnics. Goleta Beach is the best place to relax! There’s a natural trail nearby, so you can go biking or jogging here!

Great beach for walking or picnicking. Plenty of easy parking. If the tide is low enough and you choose to go left, you will have to cross the Goleta slough, but are rewarded with miles and miles of uncrowded beach to walk on. If you go right you will head towards UCSB and Campus Point.

Such a nice beach! The parking was crazy easy. It wasn't crowded on a Sunday. The bathrooms were convenient and clean enough. Picnic tables and grassy areas are nice for get-togethers. Lots of shells and rocks for kids to be entertained with.

Goleta beach is one of the best beaches in the area. It has easy parking right next to the beach, very rarely crowded and has mountain views, a really nice pier to walk on and decent amenities (public bathroom, water fountains, picnic areas and playground). A great advantage is the meant trees on the adjacent lawn to provide nice shade. It is also the best free starting point to walk to UCSB, just above the bluffs.

Serenity, dolphins, families and friends fishing together, pier divers, pigeons, seagulls, BBQs! It seems like this is a beach for locals, and everyone is very chill, approachable and friendly. The Rangers, Brian and Mark, are also very cool dudes! I've been here on crowded days and quiet ones, and in both cases I really enjoyed it and got some cool photos of the wildlife. They're horseshoe pit is IMMACULATE! I would've gone barefoot in the bouncy, well-kept grass if dogs weren't a thing 🀣

Well I always come to this gorgeous 'beach park' to take a nap and stretch my legs before the long commute up north or south. This place seriously needs renovation, better restrooms and more seating because this park does get full.

I stopped here to eat a take out sandwich and wait for my flight out of Santa Barbara. It was a relaxing stop and not crowded around noon on a week day. It is only 5 minutes and two turns from the airport. I rated only 4 stars just because of the age of the facilities and the construction renovating the parking lot or facilities. It is easy to park near the water and the beach is easily accessible from the parking lot. I found it relaxing to sit near the ocean and listen to the waves - a rare experience for me. The pier goes far out into the water and is another experience to be away from the hustle and bustle of people and be in solitude. There were only perhaps two fishermen that I past as I walked to the end of the pier. I would visit again if in the area and I had the time.

Truly a local's beach. I love that we have our own beach in Goleta. It's unpretentious, there's always plenty of parking, and there are picnic tables, BBQs, and clean restrooms. It's not a wide beach, and it's often rocky (so bring shoes), but it's always beautiful. Try the short hike up to the UCSB campus for a bird's eye view of the beach. Dogs must be on leach, which is appreciated, and I rarely see off-leash dogs here (yay!). In the summer, there are lifeguards on duty.

Goleta Beach Park is a great park and beach to visit if in Goleta or near UC Santa Barbara. The park offers free parking, picnic areas, a nice beach, a long pier, and great views of the coastline, UCSB, and Channel Islands.

The beach was quiet as it was December when we visited. There is a pier for fishing and walking out a little to enjoy the ocean. We used the park behind the beach to have our lunch. We picked the place because it was a good spot on our way to Paso Robles. The stretch of beach was clean with driftwood sprinkled around. It made it very scenic. There is a covered picnic area if you don't want to be exposed to the sun. We chose a picnic bench closer to sand because we want to watch this dog playing fetch with its owner. The is a parking lot with about 50 spaces. Easy to get to. The bathroom was clean and the hand dryer worked. A good place north of Santa Barbara to stop for a picnic.

Great fishing from the pier. Well lit and maintained, open 24/7. There's always someone set up to stay overnight with a tent. Always pleasant people fishing - never had an issue here.

Unpretentious beach in Goleta. There’s ample parking (depending on the day/time). It’s also a quick walk or bike ride from parts of UCSB. There are public of bbqs too, so bring your charcoals & meats. There’s also a pier. I always wanted to jump off of it but have never taken the plunge.

Nice beach. Lots of BBQs and benches. Good place for parties and things like that. Lots of people like fishing too. There's also been some construction recently so here's hoping it turns out to be something nice for the beach.

Very nice beach. Not too crowded. Families enjoying time with each other. Crashing of the waves made the walk more peaceful.

Attractive sand and view. Several bathroom facilities and adequate parking. Expansive picnic area, with numerous tables and bbq facilities. The pier is a pleasant walk. The popular restaurant is closed and fenced. An area of construction and equipment reduces some of the parking. Easy access from Goleta and the freeway.

A very pleasant park north of Santa Barbara on the coast. There is a fishing pier, long sandy beaches, and a grassy area for picnics and BBQs. The parking is free and there are public restrooms. Paved bike trails run through the park and beyond. A playground for children and much more are also on site. Great place to spend the day on the coast...
