It was a pleasant short term stay. The rooms are relatively small and the queen beds are just okay for an adult, so keep that in mind if you are opting for the place. That said, the staff is warm. Pretty nice housekeeping, and the place is located in a safer and quiet neighborhood. The rooms are equipped with a refrigerator and a microwave, we didn't try the home service but it's fine and the options weren't many as I heard from the staff. Overall it was a pleasant place to stay, will definitely consider this for another short term stay for a day or two.

Very down to earth hotel/motel set up. Everything was clean. Front desk staff were friendly. Had a pool and hot tub but didn't use. People seemed to enjoy. The location was GREAT and in close proximity to Cottage Health and many restaurants and eateries nearby. Would recommend as a location if need to be close to the hospital.

Customer service was excellent. Everyone at the front desk was kind and welcoming. They allowed us to check in early which was much appreciated. They had a great little coffee/tea bar in the lobby as well. The room was little older, basic but clean. My only complaint would be the ac/ heat was a bit funky since was so old school ( dial knob and switches) and hard to determine whether it was on or off. We woke up in the middle of night so hot and comfortable. It'd be nice to invest in an electronic system so easier for guest to manage air and heat. Location wise, it was fine, short Uber to main areas of Santa Barbara. Great breakfast spot called Daily Grind within 5 min walking.

Booked the day of for a quick getaway trip with my boyfriend. The hotel staff was very friendly! Parking was free and easy! The greenery and decor outside of the hotel was beautiful too! I will admit, the rooms are outdated, but it was clean, and the room was spacious and comfy! Overall, it was a great stay and Id definitely recommend.

Great food from the cafe. No muss no fuss checkin and out. Coffee bar in lobby off the hook. Clean rooms. Dishes pots and pans all clean tidy and ready for use. Staff was welcoming and friendly. Busy week but took their time to help. Manager went out of her way to allow us an earlier check in and a flexible checkout. AC was working and powerful. Room was ADA and unlike some places that make ADA rooms of the ones that need renovation, this one was so well done! Thank you for a wonderful day and we are looking forward to our next stay.

Have previously stayed at this location a year ago, and had no problems whatsoever! The staff was nice, the room was fine, no terrible complaints but also nothing was crazily amazing. Due to this prior visit, I chose this location again and booked through Expedia. It was an honest mistake, Expedia's filtering marked this location as pet-friendly and I straight booked it without double-checking with the property itself. On the day of the reservation, I called before check-in to double-check, as I have with other properties, informing them of our dog. I was met with pretty unfavorable customer service, I believe it definitely could have been handled better. The staff had attitude, ex. getting upset when there was a miscommunication, causing overall an unfortunate mood over the situation. I acknowledge my own mistake, but I wish the staffer I spoke to would have been more kind about a genuine mistake.

We had an overall good stay at this Best Western in Santa Barbara. I'd say that considering the town, the price was very good. The room was small by Best Western standards and the breakfast was not included; that was surprising. Overall it was still a great stay and a good value. The onsite restaurant was quite good and reasonably priced.

I stay at this Best Western Hotel location on a monthly basis when in the area for work. It has consistently been a good experience. Friendly and attentive staff, clean and well maintained rooms, comfortable beds, and just an overall pleasant experience.

Great hotel with an awesome staff. Rooms were clean and comfortable and the hotel is centrally located for anything you might need. Highly recommended!!

Our first floor room had not been updated in ages. Weird smell, and stains on the floor. Furnishing was outdated and worn, and included an old cloth reclining chair, idly placed at the end of one of the beds. Shocked this hotel is a 3 star.

What a quaint, quiet and charming hotel. Wish we could have stayed longer than 2 nights. Bed was comfy, room was clean, balcony was an excellent addition overlooking the pool, linens had a fresh scent, staff were friendly. Definitely recommend!

The Customer Service at the front desk STINKS! My daughter booked the room under her married name, so when I went to the fro t desk to ask for help, two times I was treated the same way, after explaining my situation-both times the key wasn’t working, gave my daughters name, son in law name, my wife’s name and mine & still they wouldn’t issue a key for me, they wanted to talk to my daughter to make sure I wasn’t whoever they thouI was. Names TERESA & LEE - they shouldn’t be in customer service.

I didn’t try the service during my stay, but the front desk was nice and greeted me with smile, suggested places to visit and provided me with brochures.. answered all questions. On the Check out, there was a nice lady who made it easy and quick. The room was big enough and the place was quite

3.5 Room was outdated and walls thin, but it was very clean. It's a basic, quiet motel unless you have loud neighbors. Located in a quiet neighborhood a few mins from the main attractions by car. The Live Oak Cafe attached to the hotel was good.

Had trouble parking when we arrived which was disappointing after a 11hour flight and 3 hour drive but that was put right by decent rooms, comfortable bed, great service at reception with free coffee, fruit and other freebies to make your stay hassle free. Also, the restaurant on site was a massive boon to this hotel. The food is tasty and very reasonably priced and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Try the Pacific Rim bacon rice, it is awesome. We were only here 2 nights but thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Only cons were it is a little far to walk to the must sees and WiFi is spotty with poor speed and constantly dropping off. Still, we enjoyed our stay and would stay again. Thank you. Best Western Santa Barbara

We are so happy with the great service that the staff, Bryanna, Michelle, and Joaquin gave us that we already recommended the hotel to family and friends. Best Western Plus in Santa Barbara was a great option as we travel with no reservations 😅 We’ll be back in a near future.

I usually always stay in Best Western Plus hotels. I think they are generally the best quality for the price with good value. This BW is near cottage hospital which makes it very convenient if you are needing to be near a friend or loved one who is in care. It's located on Bath st almost near pueblo so its just a short walk. I did not have any issues with parking and I thought the staff was friendly. The room was typical and clean. This hotel is a little dated. I would stay here again.

We ❤️ staying at this inn. The room was perfect & the service is fabulous beginning with Catherine, at the front desk. We drove to Harry's Plaza Cafe, for dinner & then the Santa Barbara Bowl for our concert. The inn was close to both of those destinations. Highly recommend this inn.

Outstanding service by Gabriel who not only checked in all 8 of us on our Gal Pal trip from San Diego April 10-14, 2022, he calculated what each of us should pay individually, which was a complicated procedure. Later that evening, he helped us find a missing credit card. At all times he was very calm, professional and listened very well. He has excellent listening skills and is very personable. He was our hero!

Great property. Rooms very clean and spacious. Super cool AC. Mine shows like a model. Landscaping and property maintenance is superb. This has been added to my top 5 list.

We had a great time at this hotel. The rooms were very clean, the pool was super clean and nice. The employees are very helpful and friendly. We especially enjoyed the Live Oak breakfast.

They didn't clean room if you stay less than 3 days. A quiet and convenient place. Close to downtown. Room has some smell.

Rooms are small and cozy at least the one we stayed in. But the carpet could use a really long and good deep cleaning. They DONT serve free breakfast which sucks but there is a Café on site.

Stayed here last night. A really nice, charming location. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The location is a short taxi/Uber ride into the main downtown. Would recommend.

Off the beaten path, yet centrally located in a more residential area. A clean older hotel, but well maintained with a lot of charm and nice grounds. Pool and jacuzzi, and a nice restaurant on the property. Will definitely be back.

Hotel is nice, but housekeeping and front desk are hopeless. Do not expect any sort of housekeeping or maintenance. They state their lack of housekeeping is due to COVID measures, meanwhile none of their employees were wearing masks, so it's quite clear that this is a cost-saving excuse. However, they say they will come by to do housekeeping and give you new towels if you request it...this is a pretty big stretch of the truth. During our stay, the toilet wouldn't flush. We called the front desk and asked them to fix it while we were out for the day. They said they would. Nothing happened. We then called again and someone finally fixed it. The maintenance person very strangely didn't seem to have a key to our room, which I found very odd. The next day, we asked for towels while we were out. Again nothing happened. Our pile of towels was left in the room and we were granted no clean towels. We called again. Their solution to the problem was to leave a bag of towels for us on our doorknob for us to set up AND they gave us the wrong amount of towels. It seems like the staff categorically don't have the ability to access rooms, which is the weirdest thing I've ever heard of for a hotel. I wouldn't stay here again.

Loved the room - everything was perfect, very cozy, spacious and clean. The location was great - just a couple of minutes to the centre of Santa Barbara and the pier. Totally recommend the stay

Beautiful motel centrally located in a lovely neighborhood. We chose this place for our 25th Anniversary getaway. Loved everything about it -- except the bed, which was unfortunately way too hard & very uncomfortable so we couldn't get enough sleep, leaving us both tired, sore, & unrefreshed the next day. This was frustrating and puzzling, as everything else we experienced here was fantastic. Why not have comfortable beds at a motel?! It makes no sense. The small room we got was cute & all we needed, but not the bed. We wanted to recommend this motel to our daughter & son-in-law, but not until there are better mattresses installed as his back is often sore to begin with. For some context, I spent a month this year on a road trip around the country, and I stayed the first night in a Super 8 motel. The bed was incredibly comfortable. I asked the front desk about it & was told it was a Serta Sleeper. That good night's sleep made me seek out a Super 8 again & again, and it turns out nearly all of them in the US have been remodeled using these mattresses. It also appears they are getting rid of stinky old carpets in favor of tile/hardwood floors, which is another tremendous improvement. I sure hope Best Western will follow suit, because I'd love to stay at this location again, but not with those horrible beds they have. I need good sleep to enjoy a trip, especially on an important anniversary night. Please get this done, BW Santa Barbara!

Very nice hotel in a quiet neighbourhood. The rooms are spaced out and very comfortable. There was no noise from the roads and I could not hear neighbours. Breakfast is not included but the café/restaurant on site is good.

Extremely nice staff. Rooms are clean and spacious. There's only wine in the bar, but the coffee shop has excellent coffee.

It might be the nicest Best Western we've stayed in. Customer service was great, room was huge and nice (slightly dated decor) and location was great with plenty of food options within walking distance. A wonderful place to stay on your way through Santa Barbara.

Older hotel, but the room appeared to be totally renovated. Beautiful bathroom , all new furniture, working outlets by bed, new sliding door and screen that could actually slide easily, large balcony overlooking pool. Entire room, including balcony furniture, was spotless. Onsite restaurant was great for breakfast. We ordered an omelet online the night before, walked over and picked it up, and ate it on the balcony. It's not a big fancy resort by the water, but it doesn't cost $1,000+ a night, either. We will definitely stay here again on our annual trip to Santa Barbara.

This is a nice hotel. I went here and was satisfied with my experience. I booked this hotel online and checked into it. This hotel has the doors of their rooms on the outside, so you have to walk around the hotel to get to your room. However, the hotel’s parking lot stretches around the hotel, so you can park right in front of your room. The room I stayed in had two beds and a bathroom with a pretty large shower, but much to my surprise, the room also had a kitchen and dining table with four chairs, which was pretty nice. The interior of the room was pretty dated, but other than that it was nice. This hotel has a restaurant as well with some pretty good food. I gave this hotel five stars because it has nice, big rooms and a restaurant as well.
