It’s hard to get past the treatment I received from the owner but will say the room was fine just know it’s a renovated motel, that comes with small bathrooms and no food or drink options on site. Beyond this, be wary of the hotel owner, Greg- he is very unkind. Before even checking in, I had a tragic family emergency that required me to pick up my daughter in the area and prior to arrival I wanted to cancel the last night of 3. I had booked the nights using points through Expedia, and they would allow me to cancel the third night if the property gave permission. I had called numerous times with no response from the property, and at this point, I had only been receiving confusing communication via text from Greg. When I finally did get a call, Greg, the owner, not only showed no empathy whatsoever, but threatened that “if I said another word he would not allow me to stay at the hotel at all” and that those working for Expedia are “foreigners and liars,” before hanging up on me. Please consider the kind of person you are supporting by staying here.

Stayed for a night as a single woman alone. It was nice room and perfect location. Service was nice but the man at the front desk insisted on taking me directly to my room. He was polite but it made me uncomfortable as there was no deadbolt lock on the door from the inside. I felt uncomfortable to fall asleep knowing I couldn’t deadbolt it and ended up using a chair pushed against the door. Overall okay stay, would be a 5 star if there was locks on the door and the man at the desk didn’t insist on taking me inside my room.

Very nice location. A couple of blocks from the beach. We had a very roomy, corner unit. It was very clean and the bed was very comfy. I only had very brief encounter (check in) with Greg the owner who was very nice. Never met his wife. We were there the week after 4th of July, which I guess is peak season because our room @$360 p/night was a bit pricey. I'd stay again but, would plan to go off season.

Serving Santa Barbara since 1976, Greg and Jennifer Mishkin, owner-managers of the Pacific Crest Hotel, (pictured) delivered quiet, clean and safe accommodations for my visit. They indicated welcoming and serving prior happy guests, over time, has been/is is a very rewarding part of their lives. After staying at several of the larger name brand hotels near by, it can be stated their service standards exceed the competition. A definite recommend. Book directly through their website for best price and fewer headaches!

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights last weekend and can’t wait to go back! It’s so refreshing to get excellent customer service these days. Our room was in a great location and we enjoyed sitting outside in the evenings…it was so peaceful. Maybe it was a slow weekend but the area and hotel were extremely quiet at night. No kid’s running up and down halls or doors slamming. While their office isn’t open 24/7 like a chain hotel, they’re very easy to contact and the owner was very responsive. I needed something during “off” hours and I texted the number we were given and the owner was there in about 2 minutes. I didn’t have to make multiple calls to the front desk like other hotels. The owner gave us a couple excellent recommendations for restaurants, one is within walking distance at the beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay….now trying to figure out when we can come back!!

This Hotel is very well maintained...clean, spacious, airy rooms, with high ceilings & great amenities. Not to mention how close you are to the ocean. Also, the price, you can't beat, for all that you get! AWESOME!

One of the best places to stay in SB! Greg was so kind and helpful. I’d highly recommend staying there as it was quite, peaceful, and close to the beach.

Wonderful! The outside of this hotel does not do it justice! The room is absolutely beautiful, really spacious and the bed is so comfy. The owners clearly have a passion project for this hotel and a lot of care and detail has gone into making their guests feel comfortable. They are very knowledgeable about the local area and make some great recommendations. Really glad we chose to stay here

I was a bit nervous as I came in just a few minutes before the 9PM check-in deadline, and the owners could not have been anymore kind upon checking me in. Room is spacious and clean! Looking forward to the rest of my stay.

Room small but we'll appointed.. Greg was great! If you're bringing bikes call first they don't allow bikes in the room.

We booked this last minute through Expedia for the same day. After confirming, the hotel asked for our personal email and among many other things, mentioned that 9pm was the last check in time with no after desk hours options. I’ve never seen that in my life. We immediately called and left them a message. They texted us back and told us to deal with Expedia. We did and Expedia tried to contact them several times with no answer. They then texted us that Expedia had to approve it, not them. We let Expedia know and the hotel still would not respond. They hotel owner then called my husband and told him to stop texting??(they were the ones who texted, we originally called) and rudely told him that because of the annoyance they would not refund us and started yelling at my husband that they had our money and we’re not refunding it.

This beautiful little gem is in the perfect location. Walking distance to the beach (2 minutes) and close to restaurants. You can walk everywhere! The rooms are beautiful and clean. This is spaekling clean property with a heated pool. And the hotel staff are so welcoming and incredibly friendly! I will definitely be back!!!!

The Pacific Crest is very clean, cozy place that's a 3 minute walk to the beach. I really enjoyed the clean, no-air-freshener rooms with 8+ USB ports, the most of any place I've stayed. Some rooms are larger than you'd expect, with comfy beds and strong A/C. Greg and Jennifer are friendly and accommodating hosts. This place is a definite repeat.

MOTORCYCLE FRIENDLY! Very clean, great service at check in. Wonderful communication. Was provided a secure spot for our motorcycle. Our room faced a deck with an ocean view. Was nice to enjoy Santa Barbara, not worry about our motorcycle and have a clean, quiet and comfortable room to come back to. We will stay here when visiting Santa Barbara again.

Husband and Wife team work fluidly in tandem keeping this property clean and well-managed. Given the King room facing the street and beach to the left. The beach is a block away. Free parking, easy in, easy out.

Great place to stay in SB. Beautiful pool area, kind hosts, and clean, quiet rooms. We would stay here again and recommend it to friends and family. What a gem! Beds were comfy and rooms were bright and airy.

Greg and Jennifer offered lovely hospitality and made this past weekends getaway a blast. The room was clean and the area was quiet. The first morning, Greg gave us some coffee and offered up suggestions on where to eat. Went out to enjoy Santa Barbara and then came back and we spent the rest of the day relaxing in their perfectly heated pool. Would definitely stay again and plan to.
