Room was very clean, staff very friendly, enough parking available. Someone post a complaint about not having hot water. So I turned it all the way to hot position. It was not super hot but warm. I think it was warm enough. Disappointing to see price were down to $95 when I was posting the review. I assume is because it is Sunday and we booked in for a weekend. Nevertheless I am ok with it.

I have stayed at Motel 6 plenty of timesand stopped to get a room today because highway was shut down and was told prices where changing and a room was available in an hour, I said ok I can wait an hour and then she told me the price would be 493.00 for one nite. Won’t be staying at motel 6 tonight or ever again.

First bad google review I’ve ever written. DON’T STAY HERE! The uncleanliness is worth this alone, but the staff is SO rude. However, The worst part is, THE OWNER/MANAGER LIVES HERE AND CREEPS through the windows. I’m not overly sensitive at all or nervous about these things, but I am positive this person is not stable.

Clean rooms and conveniently located. Debbie checked us in and she was great. Efficient check in AND very knowledgeable about the area, where to park and what to visit.

This motel 6 used Tobe amazing. It still holds as in location to everything and access to public transportation. But in my stay in November 2021, this place not only thought it was good to use my shampoo and body sponge but also smoked my herbs. I removed the two and remained in my room and greeted each and every ground keeper that entered the room, realizing there is an actual person inside the room, apologizing for wrongful entry, and leave quicker than them breaking into room. On Thanksgiving eve I was asked for some coca by the maids. On Thanksgiving day I was kicked out of motel 6. There is a dispensary open across the street, they could by herbs, but if you sit in your room, never leave, this would be the only way you protect yourself from the staff at this motel 6; and even then you'll still be kicked out. My biggest issue is that with motel 6, each place gets to place a note, well here's my note. Motel 6 upper state doesn't take your money left in the room, just your herbs, medicine, and on occasion such as this past one, find your new underwear and new clothes having been tried on.

Our room was not cleaned during our stay. Our next door “neighbors” were awake until 6am playing loud music so we did not sleep well the first night. When we called the front desk to let them know they knew right away which room it was although we never heard a knock or call to their room. Lastly, there’s hardly any parking due another hotel next door. When we “tried” to address this to a male worker he had a terrible attitude and response. So unprofessional! If you hate your job don’t spread your negative energy to customers. We stayed in a nonsmoking room and the room still smelled like cigarettes! Save your money! The dinning options around the property were great. We are Jeannine's Restaurant & Bakery and Kyoto Japanese Restaurant.

Reliable, pet friendly lodging in Santa Barbara. Near restaurants, other shopping. Good central location. Their "pet friendly" policy includes cats which the other Santa Barbara Motel 6 does NOT.

This place has loud neighbors, you can’t sleep at night. there is also no shampoos in the bathrooms and the rooms are dirty. When we got here there was a huge spider on the ceiling .

This is the upper state street location. There are some decent food stuffs around. There is Chick Fil-a next door along with Rusty's Pizza. There are other restaurants a little down the road like Lure and Islands. For the most part there is nothing of note in this part of Santa Barbara. Mostly the residential area of Santa Barbara. The rooms here are typical Motel 6 rooms, nothing exciting pretty plain. There is a bit of street noise here as it's right on state st and this particular area is pretty congested. I thought the staff was friendly enough and the value is ok. This is your standard Motel 6 experience. Cheaper accommodations at the expensive of quality.

Deplorable. The smell of bleach in the room was overwhelming from the moment you opened the door throughout the entire day. Sheets were washed in bleach and I caught an awful skin rash I mean awful. NEVER AGAIN. Sticking with the high end hotels. Noise and yelling through the night. Dirty grounds. The photos of hotel are a joke and deceiving but hey I believe in karma.

This Motel 6, in particilar, was a nice experience. The service was professional and quick. The room, although small, was clean and well maintained. One negative is for the price one would expect more than two tiny bars of soap in the shower area.

Overall decent room that was clean and basic. For the price I would have expected more appliances in the room such as a hair dryer mini fridge or microwave. The pool was a nice added extra after a long drive however the room keys did not work and room would not lock properly unless from inside. Main highlight was the pool and location. Improvement could be made on amenities and toiletries.

So angry. We drove 8 hrs for a funeral. First I booked our room through booking for 2 nights for 303$ had to change to a Wed and Thursday night at 179$ and 200$ for a room that was so small you literally had to sit on the bed to let a child walk to theirs. The pictures and reviews had me smacking my head. Definitely not a very clean place. Thanks to my disability and the room I was unable to safely get onto the bed itself. I felt like I was in the ghetto of LA. I went and asked the very unprofessional looking lady dressed like an 80's grunge wearing a sleeveless shirt where you can very clearly see her bra if I would be charged 200$ to check out because the room was so small and uncomfortable. As to which she replied no and yes this is small because this is our second motel and nothing else. Disgusting for such and expensive town like Santa Barbara. I called Quality inn and explained what happened. Not only did they give us a discount but said they hear horrible things about this place all the time. Good luck. Santa Rosa Motel6 is so much higher class.

The night desk person was very pleasant when I arrived and even had coffee ready before I left at 6am. While it is Motel 6 it was very clean and everything seemed new and not like the Motel 6's I stayed at in the past. I would stay there again if I travel through Santa Barbara.

Stayed 5 nights at this motel located on State St in Santa Barbara. Employees were friendly and helpful when checking in. Asked for hair dryer, extra towels and a blanket at front desk. Only bar soap available in the room. Parking adequate around both buildings that make up this Motel 6. Grounds are kept clean and landscaped Room was clean, had a small table for computer or eating requirements. Shower, and sink area in a separate room from bedroom. Wifi was adequate and always available when needed. Coffee available at lobby office only, from local restaurants or Starbucks. Room noise was the only drawback. Can hear other guests next door or below/overhead in rooms. So late night talking or early morning risers will keep you awake or wake you up if your a light sleeper. Thankfully most guests were not too bad with noise or loud talking. Will consider staying here in future. AARP and senior discounts are available online or through their reservationist.

Could be located closer to the ocean. Parking is crazy when someone is going the wrong way, because it is technically a one way around the motel. Room smelled like old incense and cigars. Needs updated as the bathroom is falling apart. But front desk was the best part of my stay with their friendly staff.

Really nice for my expectations of a motel 6. Felt really safe and the rooms were updated as well. They’re also pet friendly. Safe area and they have a pool too.

Stayed here last week and it was a good value for the money. 3 of us stayed in a double bed room and there is not a lot of extra floor space. We stayed at the one in Goleta on this trip and I tend to gauge how clean a room is by the dirt/dust on the AC unit, bathroom light and bathroom fan. This Motel 6 was a little cleaner then the Goleta one going off of these checks. The floor plan for this Motel 6 matched the Goleta one exactly. It had a little more space, mainly because the table between beds was smaller and it did not have a microwave and fridge. One main gripe with the room was the water pressure was realllly high. This was great for the shower but for the sink it made a mess every time you turned it on. If they could put a door on the shower/toliet area and leave the sink area open to the rest of the room I think could make it not feel so cramped. It is a good location. There is a coffee place across the street as well as some popular breakfast places you can walk too.

Deluxe double room is definitely not deluxe. Small, and just decent, even for the price paid and knowing what to expect as a Motel6
