Now the stay at this Inn was great. I loved the customer service, it seems it a small family owned business. The location was great as all the stores to the main action are a short 8 minute drive. The Inn is located exactly at the corner and entrance is fast and easy to enter. Now I have read lots of the reviews on this place and our experience was nothing but good. As soon as you enter there is a smell but nothing turning on the a.c won't take away. The carpet is on the older side as well as the furniture but I wasn't going to be sleeping on the floor or be living here. So my family and I could see past that. We got room 106 and it's perfectly tucked in a corner no front window so no noise from people walking by or driving in. The bed was comfortable and the water in the shower was hot with good pressure. All in all I recommend this place if you need a place to stay for the night or a couple of nights as we did affordable and not a motel 6 were you have people all over the place. We have stayed at a fancier place were we had people staying upstairs and it sounded like horses were staying there. All in all give the place a try and see for yourself that it's worth a try.

As you can see from the pictures, the carpet is in very poor state. The sheets did not fit the bed as they were too small. The walls and curtains were also dirty and scuffed up and overall the room was just not in the condition one would expect for the price. Fortunately, we were able to find a better room elsewhere and we decided not to stay for the night. Unfortunately, we were not able to get neither a partial nor full refund from our stay. This may be one of the cheaper hotel options in Santa Barbara but it should not persuade you to book a stay like it did me. I naively assumed that at the price it was being offered that it would at least be clean and comfortable but it was not. This room I would not even consider at half price because I value cleanliness and my pride more than the savings of $20-30.

Sorry I've edit my comments. The original comment is still below. I think recently the motel quality is going down. I'm not sure hy but I think it's not as clean and welcoming as before I'm a solo traveler and the motel's great! The room's clean and I can sleep well during my stay in Spring. It's close to everywhere and the staff's really helpful! The motel is an older building, but I think for a solo traveler that wants to travel on a budget to see beautiful SB this motel fits the use well

I found feces smeared handprints on the mattress cover. The door handle broke when I first used it to get in. Complained to the desk clerk who merely said โ€œall our sheets are cleanโ€ and she offered to fix my door handle. No the point is you should have threw out that disgusting mattress cover! And I shouldnโ€™t have to call the clerk to fix the door handle. Look at the Yelp reviews for more disgusting photos. Bed bugs, urine stained sheets, black mold doors and walls, front doors with 1/2 inch gaps.

They need to deep clean the rooms, there were stains everywhere! The bathroom is somewhat clean, but the walls have questionable stains. The only good thing is at least the beds are comfy.

To start off, my mother in law paid for the room for my wife, my daughter and I to stay the night and visit her. The reservation did not go through and we were not contacted even though we reserved a week in advance. My wife called to see why the room had not been reserved and a lady picked up the phone and yelled at my wife that the card name did not match her name, then hung up on her. When picking up the key, the same lady at the front desk interrogated my mother in law, asked for her license and a bunch of other verification and repeatedly looked at her then at her IDs on and on. My M.I.L. then asked if she also wanted to check her license plate and passport, you know, to be sure? The place does feel antiquated and quite dirty. Some stains on the blankets and sheets, and the chair. The coffee machine looks old and dirty. The cherry on the cake was that there was no room service today, so we got no cleaner sheets or anything (the room was clean to begin with, we just needed new sheets). I can guarantee WE WILL NEVER BRING OUR BUSINESS HERE AGAIN. Most likely will file a complaint with the city and probably the BBB.

Please don't go there! When I arrived there another couple was leaving because they found a rat! I couldn't cancel my reservation for that night because I already had paid on booking.. The room was not clean and it seemed that the sheets were no washed at all. Never again!

Town and country inn Santababra is a very dirty premises with no Covid regulations in place. I turned up after thanksgiving dinner last minute booking within the hour but couldn't stay. They accepted my cancellation and i left. Sadly they fraudulently took funds from my account by hacking into it via my hotel.Com account.. Till today they have not engaged with correspondence between my bank and hotel.com to get my funds #223 they charged. Very disappointing...

For being a 2-Star Motel, the. bed was so nice, clean, no smell like someone had smoked in the room, the AC worked beautifully, and it was amazingly quiet at night! I felt safe too.

While visiting a loved one in Hospice I called for a room. She claimed she'd hold it for me for 1 hr. Showed up was filling out everything...took my card and ID then told me that the room is already booked.

As I was reading the reviews, I think this is an underrated establishment. It is not super fancy, but it is clean and comfortable. Dare I even say...homey? This was my first time to California; I typically avoid states that do not have reciprocity with Indiana. Some of you may not be familiar with that term, so ket me explain. I firmly believe in 2nd amendment rights and have an Indiana lifetime concealed carry permit. Multiple states honor our permit, but CA does not. As a single female who frequently travels alone, I prefer to be well-prepared and well-armed. That being said, from the moment I landed here, I have not felt completely safe, as I know my firearms are locked in my gun safe in my locked vehicle and not within my reach. However, when I got here, I relaxed. First, there was an older man checking the fluids on his vehicle, and I got the impression he lives here. He had a very sweet puppers with him, and readily granted my request to pet her, telling me that she was a very good girl. (I could already tell, as she was wagging so hard she almost fell over as she tried to drag him ovet to me so she could get lovins.) Then, I went into the office, and a delightful young lady checked me in. This has the feel of a family owned business. In other words, it feels like those I have interacted with take pride and ownership in the place. It feels...safe. Like I entered the protection of a family...of a community. Like I said, it's not new or fancy, but I would take this atmosphere over the other any day of the week. If you are in the Santa Barbara area, give this place a try. These are kind, hard working people who deserve your business.

This was the worst place I have ever stayed. Holes in the walls, dirty carpets, less than steller elements hanging out at all hours...and to top it off...I am 5"6 and the shower head was shorter than me. All in all I would not recommend. I will say the woman who checked me in was nice.
