Very quaint midsize hotel with Spanish charm. From the outside parking lot, it doesn't look like much, but when you walk I to the inside courtyard, it becomes a lush, very well cared for beautiful grounds. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Everyone smiles. The room was standard, clean, and partially remodeled. The plus about this place is that you can walk to the Brisas Del Mar and the the Lavender Inn across the way and use any of their facilities and amenities, I appreciated the coffee and snacks available most of the day, and the afternon wine and cheese. Also the free cruiser rentals (new bikes!). The outside patio off the lobby was also a nice environment. Finally, it was next door to some beautiful forest type hiking trail, and a short walk to the harbor.

This was a great find. After staying in homogenised Hiltons for a couple of weeks this place was a breath of fresh air. The room had absolutely everything you could want including a kitchen, and was very spacious. The location is very close to the seafront and the gardens were a delight and very well maintained. Special touches were a bottle of sparkling wine in the room and a delicious breakfast of cakes cereals porridge juices and breads. There was loads of free fruits available all day if you fancied it. The staff were all ridiculously excellent and were righty proud of their hotel offering a level of service and accessories that most US chains have long forgotten about. Well done.

Lovely welcome from staff, bottle of sparkling wine included in your room on arrival. Reception hosts happy hour in early evening with wine and nibbles. Plenty of free parking, handy for rooms. Access to free bikes at hotel next door which is a great way to see the city. Nice clean private pool area with jacuzzi. Thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay, plenty of attention to detail and staff very helpful

We arrived at this quaint hotel for a one night stay over on the way to LA. We were greeted by Brent at reception who was very efficient, polite and informed us of the facilities the hotel had to offer. We dropped our bags off and were greeted by a clean twin bedded room, with good sized bathroom and kitchen facilities. We had complimentary champagne waiting in the fridge and little things such as putting water in the ice tray was a great touch! We felt the furniture and decor was a little outdated but it did suit the ambience of this traditional American hotel. We didn’t use the pool, but our room overlooked it and was nice to have a bench outside our room so we could relax in the evening. We took advantage of the complimentary wine and snacks in the evening and although we were a little late for breakfast we were able to grab a drink and pastry before we checked out. Good location to the harbour, which was a short walk away and the views were stunning. Local restaurants, bars and shops in the vicinity were helpful. If were are in the area again we would definitely stay here. Thank you for a great stay!

We previously stayed here in 2020 and when we decided on going to Santa Barbara for our honeymoon, we decided to stay at The Inn at the Harbor. So glad we did! We were upgraded to a suite along with a bottle of champagne! Pleasant surprise!! The grounds still have that tropical feel and the room was awesome! Love the fact that we can park the car and walk to the waterfront. Thanks for contributing to making our special event even more special!

Penny and I travelled down by Amtrak Coast Starlight. The Inn by the Harbor was a short 10 minute walk from the train station. We stayed in a king bed 1st floor room, that also had a small kitchen, and a sliding patio door to a lovely tropical courtyard. We enjoyed three days at the Inn. Our typical day started with a delicious complimentary breakfast choices of fruit, bagels, pastries, cereals, coffee and OJ. We enjoyed eating at the outside patio tables. From there we checked out free multi-speed bicycles, and rode the beach promenade, and then up State Street. A different adventure on each day. The bikes needed to be returned after four hours. We then soaked our tired muscles in the hot tub spa, and jumped into the brisk pool. After soaking up the afternoon sun, we joined happy hour with wine nibbles (pretzels, mixed nuts, chocolates). Afterwards, we would make the 5 minute walk to the beach for dinner. We truly enjoyed our stay, from check in with Jesus, to checkout with Sam. All the staff were pleasant and very helpful. Not sure when we might return, but would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here during our pch roadtrip overnight and was greeted with a spacious room with view over the "tropical" pool and a bottle of wine. Everyone was nice and helpful - but it is when things go wrong a place shows its true colors. And when i left my laptop in the room the staff was incredibly helpful and organized returning the laptop to LA hotel in good time before my departure back to Europe. With the kind of service, helpfulness and dedication they showed i wish not to stay anywhere but here on my next visit. Thank you so much Sam & Mick. Full points!

*MICKEY is a gem and truly a boon to this place! His personal recommendations don't come from a piece of paper and the man has a taste for good drinks and food. Whatever they pay him isn't enough!* I'm a picky guy when it comes to places to stay and I truly could not have been happier with my stay here. Breakfast is pretty good, wine at night, and the service staff was wonderful. Beds are wonderful, room service was consistent. I wish the showers were made for taller people as the shower head points at my chest. Besides that one gripe, excellent stay! Clean pool and the hot tub was hot.

The man at the desk, who identified himself as being the boss, refused to take my credit card for a $5 tip to the room cleaning lady for one night. I pointed out that it is meaningful to a person who is not making a fortune to receive tips and it is someone who works for him. He still would not budge. This lack of empathy and generosity just cost him our repeat business…

Staff was great, me and my wife had a nice room with kitchen it was really clean and comfy. They even gave my wife a list of gluten free, vigan and vegetarian resturants around the area... like 70 or more places to eat. It was a great list of resturants all near by. I was impressed by the service desk each person was very nice and offered great info. It was fun to eat there complimentary breakfasts and luch and chat alittle. We went out every night and didnt have trouble when we got back to park. All in all i loved our stay

Lovely friendly and beautiful hotel in a good location in Santa Barbara which is a fun beach town to visit. Looks appealing with the garden / pool area and has plenty of useful amnesties: - Free WiFi - Easy Parking - Free use of bikes - Complimentary Champagne The room was a bit small and the shower was a weird design with weird controls but, that might be the British nature of me. The breakfast was high quality but, a limited choice with limited indoor seating.

This inn is just a few minutes' drive to Santa barbara Beach and state street shops. The room fit our needs. The plants in the courtyard are beautiful! They have a pool and hot tub. Parking can be tricky at night. They need more parking spots.

Lovely boutique style motel close to everything, exceptional service. This was my first visit to Santa Barbara (for business) and The Inn made for a lovely and affordable stay. They had a complimentary lemonade/wine/cheese/cracker/cookie 'happy hour' each day from 430-630, which really helped me get through the day, coming in from work, having a snack, and getting ready to go to dinner. There was champagne in my mini fridge when I arrived. Breakfast every morning was also good. The rooms are small but clean and quiet with basic amenities. I would not hesitate to recommend.

We came here for one night on a road trip for our honeymoon. The staff, especially Arron who checked us in, were very welcoming and friendly and we felt really spoilt. The hotel has clean, well-appointed rooms and offers lots of little extras like wine hour, free bike rentals etc that makes it clear that guest experience is the top priority. Would definitely stay for longer next time!

What a great experience here. We were checked by Aaron. He went above and beyond. Fabulous service. The room, staff, breakfast, happy hour all brilliant. We asked to stay another night, but they were sold out but they accommodated us in there sister hotel next door The Brisas Del Mar. We were up graded in our room which was awesome. And pleasantly surprised when we saw Aaron working the front desk there that night. We got tar and oil from the beach on our shoes & sandals earlier and Aaron came to our room with asap and WD40 to help us out. It worked. Thank you Aaron

This place is amazing. Been before and will be back again. Aaron checked us in and he was so helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Every staff member was great. The motel is stunning, clean and in a great location. Sad we only stayed for one night, will be staying longer next time!

This was a great find for a one night stay in Santa Barbara I would recomend it. I hope that they stop using the tiny bottle of shampoo and lotion. Replace them with dispensers and become more ecofriendly.

Top hotel. Great staff, service, rooms and location. Lots of little touches at no extra cost which for us whilst travelling down the West coast is so far unique.

Perfectly placed off the freeway and close to the pier/ beach. Clean, comfortable beds, great amenities and nice selection of items at breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. My son enjoyed the hot tub and pool set in a beautiful tropical garden.

Where do I start?! The grounds are beautiful, a perfect and quiet oasis just steps from the beach, wineries and restaurants. The rooms were clean, beds were comfy and the free continental breakfast and happy hour were a great touch! I don’t know if Sam is the owner, or just the most exemplary employee ever. He had a ton of local knowledge and connections around the city and recommended great spots. We will definitely be booking back here next time we visit.

5 Stars with Exceptions We just stayed in this hotel recently. I would like to give a detailed description of our experience and why I list this as a 5 Stars with Exceptions. Checking-In: We arrived in Santa Barbara two hours before the 3 PM check-in. When we did get to the hotel, the staff member was incredibly helpful, laid out all the amenities available to us, and offered help if we needed ideas on what to do in Santa Barbara. The process was fast and easy. Our Room: We were able to get a king-sized single bedroom. The room itself was cute and very clean. Its furniture was a little on the older side, but honestly, it fits the vibe of Santa Barbara. The room came with a free bottle of champagne, two bathrobes, bathroom amenities, and coffee products. We didn't end up getting the extra item we asked for in our room, but it wasn't that big of an issue. The room overall was great. The only two issues that we found were that our fridge did not seem to cool and the TV service provided kept lagging. This again was not a large issue for us as we were able to connect up a laptop with an HDMI cord and watch it that way. Hotel Breakfast: The hotel breakfast was provided to us free with our stay. It was quite small but provided adequate choices for us. I want to point out that I appreciate the effort the hotel team goes to to provide a positive experience for their guests. We were overall feeling quite full after eating. Happy Hour: In the evening, they provided snacks with water, hot cider, coffee, and hot chocolate. While we are not big alcohol drinkers, being able to be provided with snacks and drinks in the evening is a nice touch. It gave us the opportunity to snack before dinner. The Hottub: While we did not go in the main pool, we did get a chance to go in the hot tub. Another great addition is the hotel. You can tell they go quite a distance to make sure their facilities are clean. My only recommendation is to go a little less on the chemicals added. It did irritate our eyes just a little bit. We did enjoy it though. Overall Experience: We overall really enjoyed this hotel. While we didn't use them, the hotel also provided bikes through their partner hotel and provided free parking. These may be small items but overall help with the overall satisfaction of our stay. The hotel staff were incredibly helpful and kind throughout the entirety of our stay. Would I recommend this hotel? Definitely. Don't judge a hotel by its size. Because if one thing remains true, they try to go above and beyond!

This was our third stay here and we can’t wait to come back again. We (my husband and I) love the charm and quaintness of this place. We love the large rooms, the kitchens, and the location. We parked our car three nights ago and never got back in it because everything was so walkable. This visit we got lucky and had a room right by the pool. We loved being just steps from the hot tub each night! The beds are comfy and the champagne in the fridge is such a pleasant extra! And like every visit, the hotel staff is always so friendly and helpful.

Lovely hotel with great amenities. Large spacious rooms with a kitchen and a warm welcome. Great location - walking distance to the beach and the funk zone. Great pool and hot tub.

The hotel does such a lovely job providing a free breakfast, coffee during the day and a free happy hour with wine and snacks. The rooms are clean comfortable. This is a good value hotel in a convenient location.

I wish I was able to remember all of the staff members names because every single one that I had an interaction with were extremely nice and accommodating. They were professional and kind. Any situation I needed help with they were there without an attitude. I made reservations over the phone and the price that I was given did not change at all. There were no surprises. I enjoyed breakfast every morning from 7:00 to 10:00. I also enjoyed the wine and snacks in the evening from 4:00 to 6:00. Oh and of course the pool and hot tub from 9:00 to 9:00. The hotel has a beautiful garden throughout it is well kept. The rooms were a decent size. The rooms were also clean. The best part is the champagne in the fridge! I got a room with a kitchen and two queen beds. My parents got a room with a queen bed. You get some quiet time in the room. You do not hear your neighbors. Plenty of parking. The hotel is located conveniently close to all that Santa Barbara has to offer. Most of the activities are walking distance from the hotel. They have two sister hotels nearby and you can go and enjoy the pools there too. We all enjoyed our time here. Thanks to everyone. In all seriousness, ALL the staff need recognition from the upper heads. They work hard. The complaints that I have are the beds and pillows are not comfortable.

First impressions have been great. Reception, Mickey, is super knowledgeable and accommodating. We showed up a bit early... Was ok. Didn't the day on bikes avail from hotel. Cool cool cool. Our first time in SB so we can't compare ... Seems like a good deal

Lovely quiet room. Lovely comfy bed. But NO Draws!! So ended up keeping some things in our cases and trying to keep our underwear in tiny little draws in the desk and bedside tables!! Tiniest wardrobe I've ever seen. Such a shame as otherwise it was perfect. Specially mention estaban who checked us in was soooo helpful with everything we asked for.

Great hotel with beautiful courtyard and very friendly employees. I think the only thing that could be improved was breakfast, but it wasn’t too bad. Wine and snacks in the afternoon were great. It’s in a very quiet area; no noises could be heard from the room.

Would highly recommend this hotel!! We picked this hotel initially because it offered a full kitchen with all kitchen supplies and was reasonably priced to accommodate our party of 4. It included free parking, free breakfast, clean comfortable beds in a spacious room, cable tv and a convenient location. But what was the best part of staying at this establishment is how the staff went out of their way to deal with what could have been a very difficult situation at the end of our trip. We would especially like to commend the management team and staff, especially Sam and Aaron for all their help, kindness and professionalism. I hope that all of you and the hotel continue to have much success in providing top notch service and am looking forward to coming back in the future!

stayed here for two nights with my boyfriend and it was really nice. we had a parking space right in front of our room. we had so much space and the bed was very comfortable, where we enjoyed the champagne offered by the hotel. the inn is very well kept and so cute with all the plants inside. staff was always very friendly! be sure to book a room with the entry door facing the yard (it‘s cuter 😉)
