I have stayed at a range of budget motels, including Super 8s, that have been in markedly better condition than this location. I paid $191 for one night for a very tiny room that was not wheelchair accessible or up to fire safety codes. Upon entering the room, the smell of sewage permeated the air. The carpet was filthy. Multiple stains covered the carpet and it looked like it had never been cleaned. We did not even feel comfortable walking around the room without shoes. There was no hand soap or towels in the bathroom. When we went down to the front desk to ask for these amenities, they were not even able to give us hand soap, just shampoo. The water temperature in the shower fluctuated dramatically without warning - at times burning hot and other times freezing cold. The furniture was outdated and also covered in stains. The breakfast bag was a joke - just a packet of oatmeal, a packet of hot chocolate, and a water bottle. I don’t consider myself a person with high standards, but this motel was in objectively poor condition and horrendously overpriced. FOR THE OWNER: There are many reviews dating back over a year saying that the carpets were dirty and stained. THIS IS PROBABLY AN INDICATION THAT YOU SHOULD CLEAN OR REPLACE YOUR CARPETS. You comment on people’s reviews saying that you value their feedback and “hope to earn your business on future travels so that you can see our continuous improvement.” But clearly no improvement is being made. I sincerely hope that you will stop making empty promises in response to people’s reviews and actually do something to improve the abhorrent condition of this place.

I am the worst motel we have been to. If you want to stay there just for one night. We stayed there for two and a half weeks and it was a big mistake. During that period we only had the room cleaned once and the linens changed once. We had to take the trash out of the room because they didn't come in and clean it. We went and asked several times to have our room cleaned, towels changed, toilet paper given. The reception did not care what we asked for and the cleaning ladies just pretended they didn't understand English. This was not an ideal location for our stay. I would not recommend this place.

You get what you pay for. Don't expect a lot at this price level. This really is a 2 star motel. My expectations were to be clean and comfortable for a quick overnight stay. Unfortunately cleanliness and upkeep leave much to be desired. There was no chair in my room, the bathroom is dark & dingy and the carpets are old and stained.

Worst experience of my life. We booked 2 nights and just walked away after the first night. This hotel has been sold to become a homeless transition house and it's obvious the owner is happy to let it rot until ownership changes to the city. Hopefully I can laugh about this experience in the future.

Worst hotel ever. Extremely slow staff with really dirty rooms and bad facilities. Also wifi was not working at the time. Dangerous cables in the room, dirty floor, hairs in the bathtub. Come on… keep up a certain standard… also check out the breakfast …

Our first night's room was a disaster and we asked to be moved. The desk clerk Kayla was very apologetic and accommodating and our next room was much better. I saw her interacting with a lot of customers. She gets 4 stars. Not the greatest area in SB by any means. But both rooms we saw were at least clean. We stayed almost a week. Hotel was crowded every day / night. Other places were at least $50 - $100 / night more. Don't expect the Ritz. The breakfast bag was not great but the coffee was good - better than many cruise ships we have been on. Lots of good stuff about 1 mile away on Calle Real.

I’ve read previous reviews and I’ll be honest I was a bit scared. I personally had a wonderful time here . The staff was really nice and helpful. For the price point it was good. The room was clean, the pillows were fluffy and the air cooler was strong. The shower was clean, and overall spacious and comfortable for a night. No one disturbed our sleep, it was quiet. The parking was great I had a view of my car. You really get what you pay for and I’m not complaining. I would stay here again. Do not let those other reviews spook you. It has clean and has basic Over night necessities. 5/5 star stay for me. Thank you to the staff for answering all of my questions and accommodating my needs!

Sadly, I ended up pay just about $230 for a very low quality experience. Clerk apparently did not mark down a $100 incidental deposit that they charged me for and later refused to refund. Besides that, I think paying $130 for a regular room is indeed cheaper than other options, but in this instance you may want to just go with a safe choice. The management is very chaotic and nothing is guaranteed if you stay here.

Not a bad stay for a little over 100 bucks. The “Handicapped accessible” room didn’t have a handicapped bathroom. No railing in the shower. The AC didn’t blow cold air.

Omg not what I expected I should have checked the review super 8 should ashamed to have their name on this establish. it's a motel not a hotel. stained bed sheets, no water in the morning. I suggest you pay more and go somewhere else. The lady at the check-in was cool tho. won't go back there ever

Stayed 1 night only, Was hopeful the hotel would be decent, not luxury but at least clean since it’s backed by Wyndham. Hotel isn’t even at basic level of cleanliness. Room had bed bugs, was switched to a room even dirtier! Still had bed bugs and shower was filthy. If it wasn’t 2am we would have left. Manager did give a refund but that didn’t buy back our time or rest we were hoping to get on our last night of vacation.

Don't go by Wyndham's name. Paid $300+ for two nights. The room floor was very dirty and the room wasn't maintained properly with smelly bathrooms, non-working TV, and broken sink faucet. Parking is good. The plus is it is close to the airport and ~7 minutes drive from UCSB.

Dont be fooled by display pictures. This hotel is worth 50$ but they charged 170 per night. Not a single towel found in the room. Nor soap. Wifi is poor as from 3rd world country. Dirty room, no plastic caps for water. 1 light bulb available for night time. Whatta🙄

It's Super 8, I get it. But the bathroom door had no doorknob on it. Just a hole where there should be a doorknob. The towel bar looked like someone smashed it into the wall and wasn't usable. The room smelled musty and the carpets were really stained. The room is tiny. My biggest complaint is we spent $230 on this room and was terrible. If they charged under $100 I would not even waste my time writing a review.

1/5 because I can't put 0 Hotel to flee, dirty and the managers are thieves, they stole our $100 deposit and refuse to give it back to us (they blame our bank which had nothing to do with it) Dirty hotel, clogged sink, filthy, we could not be rehoused, so we brushed our teeth in the showers. My husband got stuck in the bathroom. Pitiful breakfast We were supposed to receive a refund and eventually they collected our deposit. We spent a month in the USA in different hotel chains, this is our worst experience with Super 8 by Windham Legal action will be taken if we do not recover our deposit 😡
