The Hampton Inn in Goleta has gone down hill. We stayed here years ago when it was nice, but it is now run down and has terrible service. The bathroom fan in our room did not work, the fire alarm consistently clicked and made sounds the whole night and the shampoo and conditioner dispensers were empty. The breakfast is meager and not normal Hampton offerings. While we were there, the hotel checked in a bus of high school students. They placed them all over the hotel so you could here slamming doors, loud talking and music everywhere. When I called the desk, I was told by front desk agent that started with M, "if you're not happy, you can check out. We don't need your business." (These are her exact words.) She was beyond rude and very unprofessional. Shocked that Hilton allows that. The hotel has no GM. I guess they quit a few weeks ago, so there is no authority to go to when there is a problem. It's a mess and I would avoid at all costs!

This is the worst hotel we have stayed at...ever! Our room was laughable and pricey for Goleta. The couch creaked and the carpet had a ghastly stain on it. They refused to clean our room and would not bring us clean towels; eventually, we were left 2 "spite towels" in a plastic bag on our door! What a joke! We made a formal complaint to the corporate headquarters.

I hope Hampton could do more customer service training for this location. I checked in on June 2 in the evening around 9:20pm and that was the only one front desk staff worked professionally as friendly and helpful. The breakfast team was also good. But breakfast was not so good. I liked the hotel offered the complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby anytime. The front desk staff on June 5 was rude and unfriendly when I checked out to request a paper receipt. I stayed 3 nights and it was noisy in the room. You can hear the sounds from the upstairs and children’s laughs from the hallway. The sofa in the room had the stain and the slide door of the shower room cannot be closed completely. The Sunday price was over 300 bucks. It is not worth of it. I lived in Hampton Inn in Union City, CA right after this stay, and the one was totally different experience from Santa Barbara.

We were disappointed right from the start. Front desk was not welcoming or knowledgeable. Lady was starring at the computer with no answers. We ended up calling to the Hilton line to resolve the checking in mistakes. Room had an outdated carpet with stains. Shower head was falling off, and stuck in one setting. Jacuzzi was filthy with some residue on the steps and the bottom. Breakfast and serving food and coffee personnel was great! Good location. Plenty of parking.

The reception at this place i found entirely unhelpful. I just tried to get a receipt sent and the receptionist was truly not happy to be on the phone. When staying there, they were not quick to answer questions and were visibly frustrated when asked something. I really didn't love my stay here. It was dirty, they don't clean the rooms nightly, and just feels rundown.

Stayed here for two nights. The staffs are friendly. Room is clean. Lot of parking space. Nice jacuzzi and pool. Breakfast is average. The bathroom door is shared with the wardrobe. So only one of those can be closed at a time. This is inconvenient if toddlers are there along with you. Also the bathroom ventilation/exhaust is poor.

Wonderful hotel! Located hidden inside a parking lot. From the street view the hotel appears to look like apartments, but upon entering the parking lot, you can definitely know you're at the Hampton Inn. The Hampton app was a bit confusing to use, so we directly check-in at the front desk. The two ladies greeted us with water and snacks and thanked us for being Hilton Honers members. My husband and I felt the kindness and welcoming here! Sanitation was wonderful, everyone worked hard to make sure everything was spotless and clean! The rooms are wonderful, and they had all the necessary amenities we needed for our stay. The complimentary breakfast was phenomenal! The kitchen staff went above and beyond their roles to ask customers if they needed anything. The kitchen staff made sure everything was stocked and clean. So, thank you Hampton Inn in Goleta, for making out visit feel welcoming and comfortable. Thank you to the kitchen staff for your hardwork and making sure everyone was fed and happy. Like the elevator says, "Happy Sauce." With a smile!

Great hotel with friendly and helpful staffs. Breakfast was great. The last day when I have to check out early (not during breakfast time), the hotel prepared a breakfast bag for me. The room was clean. I would definitely coming back.

I’d stay again but prefer the HGI also in Goleta. Generally nice property. Courtyard with pool in center makes it a bit of a hike from the elevator and/or stairs.

Nice and simple as you would expect from a Hampton Inn. Only real complaint was the cost, over $300/ night all in. It’s normal for Santa Barbara but still… a bit pricey for a Hampton Inn

Horrible manager. We changed hotels to the leta hotel and it was much cleaner, nicer and better overall. Read the reviews and you will see a lot of them are with regard to how the staff here is horrible. Don’t spend your money here.

Mini fridge needed cleaning, it was somewhat funky. Beds ok, location ok, price ok to a little high for what you get

Clean hotel. Good location. Friendly staff. Good breakfast and coffee and tea always in the lobby. My only complaint is that the fire detectors in the rooms periodically make the weirdest rattling noise throughout the night which can make it hard if you're a light sleeper. I initially thought it was just my room and maybe the vibrations from the AC but my coworker mentioned she struggled to sleep because it also occurred with the one in her room as well. So I'd recommend maybe bringing some earplugs.

Generally had a good experience here on the trip to Santa Barbara. The room is clean, quiet though a bit dated. It also has complimentary breakfast. It's about 10 mins drive to downtown area with many good restaurants.

This place is disgusting. The rooms were dirty and smelly. The bathroom light would randomly go off while you were STILL in the bathroom. It’s seriously a hot mess of a property. The Hilton Santa Barbara is much nicer, and worth the extra cost. I shared my experience with Hilton after I left the property through email (I didn’t want to waste my vacation time complaining to the front desk during checkout), and their response was basically nothing (just thanks for letting them know). They must get these complaints daily, so it’s not worth even addressing. Save your money and go somewhere else. It’s easily the worst hotel I’ve stayed at.

It was a good hotel love the location, I was disappointed because the pool was not working, but to be fair it was during Covid, I will, however, come back and stay again

Just suck that we had to wait until three to check in. We asked the girl in the front with the corn rows, to see if we can check in early but they made us wait till three. It sucked , also the hot tub gets filled with foam when you turn on the Jets. Idk what’s up with that .

Frankly, we initially had a serious issue and were totally disappointed with our stay. However, we were lucky to talk to manager Gary. When I called the hotel number, they immediately transferred the phone to the manager (Gary) - as I requested. He gladly picked up the phone and listened to my concerns. Actually, he was already aware of the problem we had last night. Then, guess what? He decided to refund the full amount we had paid for today's stay. I really appreciate his professional and kind treatment. With that couple of hundred dollars we won't become poor or reach. However, I'll remember his genuine gesture to make us happy. We are going to visit this location for a couple of years, and we will definitely return to this hotel - due to Gary's treatment. And I'm sure he will correct the issues we encountered today. Thanks a lot, Gary.

Some staff were nice and helpful but others ignored requests for help (supplying pool towels) which resulted in my daughter falling walking inside to get towels. Food was left poolside and ants were everywhere. Overall I wouldn’t recommend this location and not up to the Hilton standard. This was not worth it.

Love this place. Staff is a bit stressed but the rooms are great, breakfast is good, fitness center is clean and spacious. Walk to The Habit, local BBQ, a Psychic, various massage options. 1 minute from the freeway.

This Hampton Inn is very nice and clean. The rooms are very spacious. The grounds are very well maintained and the location is close to the beach only 10 minutes from Santa Barbara Beach ⛱️. The staff was very polite and friendly. They have breakfast 😋. The food is really good ( eggs, sausage, potatoes, walffos, yogurt juice and coffee ☕️ that is really good. It's great for families and Businesses. Very close to the freeway. I really recommend this place.

Great deal for this place.... yummy hot breakfast, clean rooms and good location walking distance to stores and restaurants. Only downside is some guests were rather loud.

Checking in was a big mess took a long time to get sorted out. Being a diamond member means nothing. Kitchen staff gave my kid a mean and dirty look when he went to get yogurt. I understand Hampton Inn is a 3* hotel but charging like a 5* the staff were burnt out from over sold their bookings. There were no one at the counter at 1pm, by the time someone showed up after 30mins the guy hair looked like he took a nap. This place needs improvements in many way.

Pros: Clean rooms very nice and helpful staff members. Cons: Breakfast: They provide a variety of options like omelette, cereal, oatmeal, muffins, cream cheese and butter. However, the quality of what they make in their kitchen is below average. The restroom area in the rooms are not fully separable from the rest of the room, without proper ventilation.

This hotel was run down. The room had a lot of stains and was in need of refurbishment. The bathroom had some construction defects. The desk chair was too small for the desk height. I had major allergies in this hotel, which suggests dust mites or mold. I did not sleep well. The bed was not very comfortable. They ran out of breakfast items well before the breakfast end time. The Wifi was 10 Mbps up / 10 Mbps down. I would not stay here again.

Very nice faculty in a slightly rougher area than many expect. If you decide to go for a walk. Like typical California, homeless is an issue with a shelter and outreach locations within a block of the location. Other shops are definitely aimed at lower income demographics, so it's likely you will want to drive rather than walk for services. Breakfast was very good, and the hotel itself was generally fairly up to date with only some signs of age or wear. I did find that rooms that were on the main street side of the building did have secondary storm windows to control street noise, making the rooms much more quiet than expected

It’s a pretty bad place. The registration staff is rude to everyone. Actually not so bad to us but wow. The rooms are not ready to check in at 5 and they are not that good when you do check in. If you book with points you are double screwed as you are treated as if you are a looser even though we have the highest rating and stay over 100 nights at Hilton properties. I think it’s time to change loyalty programs.

Nothing special to say, the rooms were not ready when we arrived (before check in time) or when we came back (well after check in time) which was disappointing. Cleanliness standards seemed low and the floor made our feet very dirty! Time I think to clean the carpets! Breakfast was ok, but why they have three meat selections - all pork - I don’t understand, a little consideration for different dietary needs would be nice. Location was well out of Santa Barbara but the highway was easily accessible. Reception staff were friendly. Given that there are plenty of other places to stay nearby I wouldn’t recommend.

Everything was good. Location is close by to the airport and the 101, so getting to other parts of the city was easy. Staff was friendly and helpful. I really liked the ledge in the bathroom - it made organizing my toiletries pleasant.

My experience at the Hampton Inn was not good. When I got to the hotel, I was expecting it to be serviceable, and be average. That was not the case. The lady at the front was very slow with requests, and took a while to get them done. The rooms were bad. They didn’t supply enough towels in the bathroom, and the beds were terrible. My neck has been killing me for a day due to it. This should serve as a wake up call for the hotel.

I had an overall good experience living out of this hotel for one month. Nice gym, more than one treadmill and plenty of weights for multiple people to work out. Hotel was busy when I stayed so it was difficult finding close parking and the rooms have thin walls - I could hear guy snoring next door. I loved having laundry rooms on each floor - very convenient. Walking distance to multiple dining options and coffee shops.

We had a great experience at this hotel. The room was very clean, comfortable and spacious. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I'd definitely stay here again.

Staff was great. But there were some fundamental problems with the room. I specifically reserved a large King studio to better accommodate 3 people. Despite being advertised as "plush" on their website, the sofa bed was terribly uncomfortable. It's simply the cheapest version available and should not be sold as "plush". We requested a roll-a-way bed and it was even worse. Probably one of the worst beds I've experienced in a hotel. I wasn't expecting a high-end mattress, but this was truly a joke. The bathroom utilizes a motion-sensitive light switch. Therefore, it's impossible enter in the night without the light shining on the bed and disturbing others. And the lights would go off while showering.

Convenient location near the airport and UCSB, with easy access to 217 and 101. Hotel is fairly new, so felt up-to-date. Room -- including bathroom -- was very clean, and everything worked. Breakfast was pretty basic but good -- i.e., what I've come to expect from Hampton. Service was terrific and staff were friendly and helpful.

I books the hotel and was pain in full. When I reached the hotel the manger and front desk staff said the hotel is fully booked and asked me to go to near by hotel Pacifica suite. Pacifica suites Denied any affliction with Hampton and charged me full for a room with them. I travelled whole day for a vacation with 2 kids and a baby and was running around in the mid night. I am writing this review sitting at Pacifica hotel now frustrated at 1 am. Done with hiltons

Nice people, good location, rooms well laid out and a reasonable price. Digital key didn't work half the time. Computers in the business center on and off. Elevator broken the first day I was there, which was a problem because I'm disabled and had two heavy bags. Admittedly they gladly helped me haul them up the stairs. But there is a maintenance issue here. However, front desk staff were unbelievably patient with a demanding guest who I saw them interact with several times.

Pretty nice hotel! Clean. Bed was comfortable. Staff was nice. Breakfast was pretty good. We didn’t use any of the amenities so can’t speak to those. It’s just a good hotel!
