Not your typical wine-tasting in the Funk Zone. Vibe changes with who is behind the counter, and if you are a fan of natural wines, this is THE place to go check out. The Bubbly makes for a great mimosa, too. There is usually a food truck close by or right in front.

Did a winetasting that went from light white wines to dark red wines. Overall they were good over an afternoon chat with friends. However, I will probably have to make a second visit to try the winetasting again if it is a revolving taste program. The wines we tasted did not necessarily stand out that day, the notes seemed a bit muted. What was not muted however was the vibe of the location. They had an onsite DJ that evening in the front outdoor area and a really great overall energy from the staff and fellow patrons. Again, will have to make another visit.

Stopped by on a Thursday evening to pick up a couple bottles of wine for my wife. They said they couldn’t sell me anything because there was a small event going on. Since I was turned away, I can’t recommend coming here.

Awesome experience in an overly bougie area, more comfortable, loved the DJ. More reasonable wine flight price. More down to earth servers. Delicious wine . Loved the red blend.

Awesome out door place to enjoy the wine, we visited in June. Emma was a great host, helped us pick couple of good wines and told us about the area. Perfect place to enjoy wine on the patio. Go give it a try.

One of my favorite places to visit in the funk zone. Good outdoor seating and the fact that they're open late, makes it a go to spot for locals and those visiting from out of town to enjoy some good wine. My personal favorite is the Bright Red, but I don't think I've ever had a bad wine there.

Large, sort of industrial punk tasting room with friendly staff and most importantly, great wine. Tasting room staff is knowledgeable and eager to please. The wines are all in the $20 to $40 range, with a variety of reds, whites and exotics. The rose is good, the whites are really good, and the reds are stellar. Not just at this price point, but at any. They have food trucks regularly, and if you can catch one of their events, DO SO. Dave (the winemaker) throws a fantastic shindig. If you're in the area, this is a must visit.

Cool spot in the Funk Zone with excellent, innovative & fun wines. I love that most of their wines are in the $25 range, which makes them affordable. We became wine club members a few months ago and I love the perks. We've come in with friends and family to do wine tastings (you get 2 free tastings each time) and the service is warm and super laid back. Be sure to try their Bright White, Grenache Blanc, and Bright Red (chilled). I also love that they are constantly releasing new stuff. We just tried their Chardonnay, which was superb.

Visited here on our way through Santa Barbara after seeing it recommended online and was not disappointed. Amazing wines and Jill was the loveliest host. Leave any ideas of pretentious wine tasting at the door. Thank you so much, so glad we can get this wine shipped to the U.K.

Wines are definitely not good, but service was really nice with good conversations.

Ok I came, I saw, I tasted. I think the decor and the vibe exceeded the wine. But this is me talking. I mean who has the same taste. I not a fan of the wine but the place had a unique vibe so that is points in my book.

Lovely and knowledgeable staff. Really enjoyed the wines available here and the alternative vintage decor.

If you're searching for low key, unpretentious winery in Santa Barbara, then you have to visit Municipal Winemakers. It's an excellent spot with a welcoming eclectic atmosphere, and the staff is knowledgeable and passionate about their wine. They offer an extensive selection of wines, ranging from bold reds to crisp whites, and their blends are truly unique. The tasting room is eclectically furnished made from repurposed old office furniture , and the ambiance is very relaxed. Municipal Winemakers is also notable for its commitment to sustainability, utilizing only locally sourced, sustainably farmed grapes and striving to reduce their environmental impact. The staff is friendly and always happy to describe the flavors and characteristics of each wine. They take the time to ensure that your experience is enjoyable and informative. For a fantastic wine tasting experience in the 805 area, be sure to visit Municipal Winemakers. It's a decision you won't regret

Didn’t love the wine. All very dry. Cool that they have 2 non-alcoholic options. The vibe is cool and service is ok.
