It appears that this property does not care about it's visitors unless they are paying to stay the night. We purchased a $500 cabana to enjoy a friend's birthday party. The hotel decided to throw a pool party that same day and never contacted us to tell us that the pool would be closed. Thankfully, I called to confirm. We then decided to purchase tickets to the pool party (over $500 total) since it was our only option at that point. The day before the party, I called the hotel to confirm the dress code and was told they canceled the party. We asked a manager to call us three times, and they never did. They never ever sent an email that the party was canceled until the day of. We were promised refunds, but still to today have not gotten a refund. Sad for such a beautiful property.

I was at the Miramar Hotel on a working vacation with my Boss and his Wife a little over a year ago. I was their traveling Caregiver/ Companion. On our third day, I had stepped out into the patio then onto the grassy area when I suddenly fell and sprained my ankle. Upon inspecting what had caused it, there were numerous holes all over the grassy area which was obviously not visible. There were no Signs to warn guests to be cautious of those hidden holes on the ground. A trip to the E.R and being on crutches for the rest of our stay totally ruined our trip. Till today I am still affected by that as numerous Physical Therapy classes hasn't totally healed my now chronic Ankle problem. The Hotel is now blaming their Landscaping company for those holes in the ground. You would think that being a high end prestigious Hotel, that it would be sure that their guests' Safety is always paramount. Beware of your Safety when you are at the Hotel.

Listen, its expensive, and I was worried about the value for money. But yes, you get the value for money. If you want to celebrate a really special occasion, this is the place. The place is so nicely put together. Read the story on their website. Such attention to detail, such luxury. Amazing experience.

Giving them two stars for location of the hotel and ambiance. One star for the staff at the patio, great service. The food is mediocre at best, the drinks were just so so. After lunch we went to the pool and tried the gelato, tasted worse than any grocery store ice cream. One flavor was better than the other but I tried to talk to the lady behind the counter about the quality she stuck a spoon with ice cream in her mouth and said “it tastes fine to me”! I normally wouldn’t say anything because the atmosphere was great however paying that kind of money I tend to expect the best quality food,

Absolutely gorgeous Place stunning decor and pictures artwork all the above! The views were gorgeous when we got to look out from the restaurant out behind the law on and over the tracks. Everything was just stunning and beautiful and would love to come back again and stay.

The hotel and staff couldn’t have been nicer. We brought our yellow Labrador and they made him feel very welcome and put a dog bed dishes and even a bandana for him to wear. Having a large grass area outside our room was especially handy. The beach is amazing and we had wonderful walks on the sand everyday. We look forward to coming back again!

I recently worked with the Director of Guest Experience, Kaitlyn Middleton, for a weekend getaway and she couldn’t have been more amazing and helpful. The communication, willingness to accommodate last-minute requests and how above and beyond she went to ensure an amazing stay was second to none. The property is stunning and the staff all the way around were top quality. We hope to return very soon. Thank you all again so much!

Went for drinks and a little lunch at the bar in the back across the tracks great view. We went the bar while we waited for a table. Treated very well at the bar and we finally got a table after putting in our name and waiting and then we waited and waited and no one showed up so after A long wait and no service we just Left and went Back to Montecito It was a nice place with no help.

The grounds of the Rosewood Miramar are pristine and impeccably groomed ,It screams casual elegance , with an uncluttered decor and appealing colors . It’s hard not to be drawn to the outdoors and all the property has to offer — various seatings and menus for meals , drinks , appetizers , the pools , bocci courts and lawn chairs . Hotel and spa staff seemed young and inexperienced and lacked the welcoming presence known for 5 Star hotels . The spa shop employee ( BC ), on more than one visit there , was rude and argumentative . I suppose she is unknowing of how fortunate she is to be working for an upscale property . It’s service like hers that makes the Rosewood a 4 rating , as management should be more aware of the caliber of its employees .

Truly iconic location equipped with everything known for the area: the access to the sea, the mountain views, the train passing on property that only adds to the charm, multiple restaurants with Michelin star ratings and local approval, and of course, the best night's sleep. A local gem; a traveler's inspiration.

On the whole the hotel is lovely. Very friendly service, great food. I don’t think they do a very good room inspection as the shower drain was popped off and laying in the middle of the shower. I have experienced poor room inspection at other Rosewoods so I guess this on brand? I found Management to to excellent and while some line staff were very nice, there was a much lower level of attention in some situations. The Front Drive is the most disorganized team I have ever experienced. 33 minutes to get a car, while also pulling out the wrong car once is unacceptable.

Beautiful stay, beautiful rooms, we stayed in one of the houses. Lunch was great infront of the beach. The only thing we’d say is that they weren’t flexible with times. We arribed at 10.30 for breakfast at the revere, they said it was packed (we could see free spaces) they asked us to order to our room. We came back 30 min later (as they requested) and it was closed. So, yes, not what you expect of a hotel of that standard. Everything else was great.

Super kid friendly, kids love the pool, the beach, the scoop shop, and they give you little gifts for them during your stay. They especially love the train that comes through! Incredible staff, so friendly…perfect location, great cocktails and food! Last stay they had a really fun live Bruno Mars cover band at the bar with dancing. Awesome for a family vacation

If I could give it less than one star, I would. The staff were next level rude, easily one of the worst experiences I’ve had at a 5-star resort in my entire lifetime. Our party was so uncomfortable with the treatment we were receiving that we just left. We recommend training in order to help with the overall customer experience, your customers deserve better and should not be overwhelmed with attitude. If we ever return our hope would be that the service is on par with the beautiful facilities and surroundings.

Exceptional experience. Incredibly well trained and professional staff. Highest standard and highest level of hospitality. Would like to special mention Dave (luggage), Erin, Daniel (front desk) and Brandon (restaurant). Also had a lovely chat with Mr James who I believe was the head of gastronomy - incredibly polished man.

Lovely setting. Miguel was great waiter. We did not like limited menu. 7 adults and 3 children so had to have large group menu. There were no reasonable appetizers on this menu. The food that we had was very tasty. We tried for more than 48 hours to get a reservation...someone should be empowered to make that decision.

We stayed a week in one of the bungalows for our 20th Anniversary. Just returned today. It was everything you could hope for from a 5* hotel. The staff was friendly, accommodating, and helpful. We enjoyed our anniversary dinner at Caruso’s which has a Michlan star, and the food/service were out of this world. Chef is amazing. The breakfasts were fantastic, and you really don’t need to leave the resort. Spa was first class, the gym was serviceable, but could use a few more free weight option, but they had a large area for pilates/yoga and that made the wife happy. Pools are fantastic and highly recommend getting a cabana. There are beach side umbrellas and service at the beach as well. If you want a quiet, “everything you need” on property experience, this is it. They even have a “free” house car service if you want to go into town (also highly recommended) for quaint, high end shopping, and great restaurants. Everyone made our anniversary experience truly amazing. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

Fabulous but expensive. Dinner at Caruso's was great. The room was first class, but next time not on the ground floor - too much traffic that prevented privacy. Breakfasts only a bit above average.

I had the best time and the best service from all experiences at the property. The pool service was the most delayed and only once did I have to ask to be assisted for towel and chair service, but they were very busy. Truley a wonderful weekend.

The property is magnificent and service is impeccable. It's everything one would desire from a beachside hotel. Our room was magical. I would be happy in there for days! The grounds are stunning. I loved the lounge with the live music. The dining options were exceptional for one hotel. Caruso's was an amazing experience and Christian was attentive and helpful throughout. We experienced a power outage during our meal and somehow the staff was able to pull off a perfect meal with limited power and gas. Ryancia Henry was lovely. She followed up with us the morning after the outage to check on how the outage impacted us. She was wonderful!

My husband and I had a magical experience at The Miramar! The staff was unbelievable. Every staff person we ran into or assisted us, had a joyful attitude. It almost seemed like they were not at a job. The person who went out of his way to help us was Bryan - Captain Bellboy. He made sure we were doing well after we settled into our room. He showed us around the grounds, and assisted us with not only our luggage, but making sure we had everything we wanted in the room. He was absolutely amazing! Brian remembered our names and greeted us every time he saw us over the next couple of days. We couldn’t believe it! The other person who was memorable to us was Michael - valet parking. He was so down to earth and helpful. He gave us a ride to CVS. Both Bryan and Micheal seemed to LOVE their job - and had GREAT, genuine public relations skills. EVERYONE WAS GREAT THERE! Our time there was magical! We hope we can come back and stay again. 🧚🏻

My stay at this hotel was a true highlight of my trip. The room's elegant décor and modern conveniences provided a welcoming haven, while the staff's gracious hospitality made me feel like part of a family. The hotel's commitment to sustainability resonated with me, and their initiatives to minimize their environmental impact were commendable. The dining experience was exquisite, with a menu that celebrated the region's flavors and culinary heritage. The hotel's central location allowed me to immerse myself in the city's culture effortlessly. I departed with a sense of gratitude and a strong intention to return to this exceptional establishment.

Rosewood Miramar beach feels like you are on a boat. Fantastic views from the ocean front rooms with great service all around. A few things to note about the resort if it’s your first time going. . 1. With the ground floor rooms and suite (with the exception of their largest suite on the north side) you share a balcony area with your neighbors. This means they can walk in front of your room, go into your patio area and see in to your room (see pictures below). If this doesn’t sound ideal the second story oceanfront rooms have private balconies, although they are about half the size. The studio room category is a worthwhile upgrade with a couch and sitting area overlooking the ocean. 2. The bungalow rooms are also nice but don’t have any sort of view. If you opt for one of the suites they are roomy and feel private. 3. The main hotel has some nice rooms with a distant view of the ocean. Since the main hotel is across the railroad tracks it can feel a little far away from the ocean. 4. The Rick Caruso suite in the main building is my personal favorite with a lot of entertaining space, your own kitchen and a huge balcony. Also good views of the ocean from a distance. If you decide to go swimming in the ocean be aware that the proximity to the oil rigs can mean you’ll have some oil in your skin that can be hard to get off. The hotel does provide “oil wipes” in case you decide to go in. Personally I prefer to just hang out at one of the very nice pools or just sit Oceanside and not swim. If you have kids they will likely not care or even notice. The Miramar beach bar is an awesome place to hang out with beautiful views. If you do opt for a bungalow room without a view there is certainly not a lack of great areas you can post up at and enjoy the ocean views outside of your room. Overall this is a fantastic property with a lot to offer and I would highly recommend a stay here.

"I didn't stay there, but I walked past the restaurant in front of the beach. I must say, it's an incredible and stunning place. Everywhere you look, it's beautiful. The facilities are very comfortable, offering a variety of activities, a pool, games, and restaurants. I would love to stay here when I have the chance."

Excellent experience at Miramar! My husband and I went to the Revere Room at the Rosewood Miramar for Sunday brunch today and we were both extremely impressed by the level of customer service we experienced, and the fine quality of the food. Valet was smooth and easy, and all of the staff were beyond kind and attentive. I was chilly due to arriving in a sundress when there was a bit of a breeze, but I was offered a blanket which provided some next level comfort, such as I would expect from a high-end hotel. My husband ordered a smash burger and fries, and I had the most delicious gluten-free ricotta pancakes I have ever had! Well done, everyone at Miramar!

I cannot understand how Miramar receives less than a top 5.0. I can name every experience I and my wife had with any staff member and we were so impressed from the construction of the facility, the materials used, the green grounds, etc, etc, and more importantly, the genuine, caring staff that made you feel important and welcome. We've been to our share of excellent venues and this stacks up with the best of them. We felt valued by the small data points that ended up being very big points. Well done Miramar! We will be back. I don’t write reviews often but this place absolutely over delivered from start to finish. It deserved a review. Carusos restaurant staff was truly something of Michelin quality and I would not be surprised to see it elevated above just 1 star in the future. The grounds, the hotel staff from valet, bellman, and any part of the other ancillary staff was better than any other five star hotel I’ve ever been privileged to stay in. HIGHLY recommend this place.

The hotel was the best , we loved it but the dinner with the ocean view was the worst. Food was discussing, salty. Only ate because I was hungry. It used to be we could order whatever we wanted, but now it is set. I am not sure if they changed the chef or what but the food is disaster

The decorations were magnificent! The servers at the Manor bar are extremely friendly and polite, especially Eli, despite it being busy. The jazz that started at 8pm made me feel like I was back in time listening to Nat King Cole. Obviously pricey but well worth it!

My fiancé and I had the most amazing four day stay at the Rosewood! We were celebrating our recent engagement and the staff at the Rosewood made our stay so exceptionally special. From the moment we arrived on the property, Evan, one of the valet guys, took care of our two French Bulldogs and walked them. Daniel, at the front desk was so accommodating and kind! He sent us Champagne and delicious desserts to our room. Fransisco, our Bellman was really great as well. Every little detail of our Bungalow Suite was gorgeous. I loved all of the thoughtful amenities and coffee table books. Sense Spa was incredible. Rosa gave me one of the best facials of my life! And she was so thoughtful in her recommendations for my skin care routine. Letty at the front desk of the spa was so sweet and contacted hair stylists and makeup artists for me very late at night- around 8PM because I had requested those services. We went to Caruso's and had one of the best meals of my life. I had the Vegan Four Course pre- fix. The hostess sat us at an isolated table with a direct view of the ocean and sunset. Dan made our dinner SO special. He brought over Champagne and delicious desserts at the end of our meal. Justin, the manager, came over and chatted with us and asked us how our evening was. If you are looking for the absolute best hotel customer experience, kind and thoughtful staff, gorgeous accommodations, then come here! This will be our new anniversary spot, where we come every year! Thank you Rosewood <3 We will be back soon!

Enjoy the luxurious Montecito surroundings starting at Rosewood Miramar Beach, Calif. Daily Brunch is from 7:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and dinner service from 5:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. When an Amtrak train is arriving and passing by a beach front, you can hear a horn loud noise for one minute or so. Sincerely hope that when Amtrak will be celebrating a 60th anniversary 10 years from today, a quiet high-speed bullet train will replace those aged trains. Staffers are highly trained and act professionally.

This is a phenomenal resort in Montecito. The grounds are upscale and elegant. The resort has everything you would expect. A nice gym, two pools, and access to the beach. A must try is Carusos, the fine dining restaurant on property. It is a prix fixe menu and is exceptional food with waterfront dining. The bar above the restaurant has a nice beach vibe and a great place to hang out with friends. If you have the means it is a must visit on the Montecito coast.

My husband and I visited the Rosewood Miramar for lunch last week, it was the most amazing experience from our arrival, beautifully displayed lunch, customer service, and the ambiance is stunning! One thing that stood out to me...the valet! There's a young man named Larry, he was so genuinely kind, personal, and helpful when we arrived. It was our first time visiting the property so we weren't sure where to go. He so kindly walked inside and guided the way. Thank you Rosewood Miramar! We will definitely be back!

Lovely hotel & setting but the hotel is uber-crowded with families w/kids, luggage, nannies, dogs, etc. in tow so it doesn't lend itself to much relaxation or quiet dining or beachfront. Also, I'm a dog-lover but having to navigate the minefields of poop on the beautifully-manicured lawns is a huge annoyance!

  • 5/5 Tory B. 9 months ago on Google
We love this hotel…all of it from the rooms to the spa and the pool to the beach. It’s a great kid friendly environment where we all felt very much at home. Unfortunately we encountered some morning construction outside our garden rooms but the staff was so very generous and upgraded us to two beautiful ocean view rooms right on the water. Very kind and so much appreciated. We will be back next summer!

Pleased to pay the high-dollar for their cocktails on the water, but the service is consistently poor. Lots of people doing nothing, and you may sit with an empty cocktail for 10 minutes. Other guests are notably frustrated by the end of their experience. Sure seems like they do not staff a manager at this bar.

My stay at Rosewood Miramar in Montecito, CA felt like I was staying at a rich man’s mansion with a great house-keeper who takes extraordinary care of their guests. From the time my party checked in to the time the staff loaded our car and said good-bye, they had made us feel like we were a part of their big family. The staff was thoughtful and genuinely cared. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. This is what true hospitality looks like and Rosewood does it perfectly! I can’t wait to go back again! On a side note, Montecito, where Rosewood Miramar is situated, is surrounded by the natural beauty encapsulated by warm sunshine, gentle ocean breeze and waves. You have to experience this hidden gem in person. The weather is perfect all year around and I consider it to be one of the most beautiful places on earth where you get a glimpse of heaven!

Trapped in the storm! So, I’m headed to Los Angeles from the central coast, and Murphy's Law is in full effect. Right before I leave home, I had a flat tire, discovered a leaky roof and now the weather report warns of flash flooding in the area. Perfect way to start a short road trip. Could it get worst??? Yes! Shortly after leaving home, my fiancé and I found ourselves trapped in a thunderstorm, heavy rains, flooding, the works. Needless to say, we were diverted off the freeway and forced to wait out the storm overnight somewhere on the streets of Santa Barbara. After spending the night in our car, we were in desperate relief from this unbelievable ordeal. What happened next was nothing short of divine intervention. Cold and hungry, my GPS guided me to the nearest eatery. I could not find the restaurant and everything else around was closed. That’s when I decided to pull off the road to the first place that looked like there might be life. That place was the Rosewood Miramar Beach Montecito. There I was greeted by a very pleasant and well-dressed gentleman named Philipp. He quickly noticed how disheveled I was from the expression on my face and without hesitation, he ushered me inside to a warm and pristine environment. Within minutes and without much conversation, Phillipp had the front desk staff (Kevin) hand me a key to the most exquisite bungalow suite I have ever seen. Upon entering the suite, I noticed the beautiful dark cherry wood floors, custom crown molding that laced the ceiling throughout, and the multifunction lighting system that set a relaxing mood. In addition, the ultra-comfortable king-size bed, custom tile in the bathroom, and premium top-shelf booze perfectly placed on a free-standing bar just off the bed made us feel like royalty! Once we settled in, it was time to eat. OMG!!!! Without exaggeration, I had the best lemon pancakes I have ever tasted in my life! Our entire breakfast was amazing! Every staff member was top-notch, uber-friendly, and courteous. Philip’s acute eye for situational awareness and his pure generosity are the hallmarks of a great leader. His leadership qualities permeated throughout the staff of the resort. I was particularly impressed with the knowledge base and professionalism of the Assist. GM Travis. All of the managers and staff were best in class! I would recommend this establishment to anyone who wants the most memorable home away from home experience!

Where do I start with how much we loved Meg and the team at Rosewood Miramar?? They all were so amazing to work with and really took the time to make us feel special. We had our daughter’s wedding on a holiday weekend so the hotel was busier than usual but you wouldn’t have known it. They didn’t skip a beat, they had such attention to detail and treated our friends and family like royalty. Throughout the planning process Meg really took the time to listen to the vision my daughter and her fiancée had for their special day and they did everything possible to make it happen. I highly recommend having any special event at the Rosewood Miramar, I guarantee you won’t be disappointed
