This
place
was
attractive
when
I
booked
it
last
year
in
early
March
via
Expedia.
I
love
Santa
Barbara
and
the
people.
The
B&B
is
only
steps
from
the
beach.
Amenities
include
bikes,
community
kitchen
and
a
community
porch
with
a
nice
view
of
the
city’s
residential
area.
Dwelling
is
aged,
however
it’s
embraced
by
its
vintage
charm
with
an
Edwardian
look.
I
really
did
appreciate
the
unique
appeal.
I
booked
for
two
nights
because
I
wanted
to
make
the
most
out
of
my
Santa
Barbara
beach
trip.
However,
one
morning
me
and
my
boyfriend
were
getting
ready
to
bike
ride
to
Stearn’s
Wharf
where
the
property
manager
appeared
and
asked
who
we
were.
I
told
her
my
name,
room
number
and
length
of
stay.
Then
she
was
able
to
pin
point
who
I
was.
We
laughed
it
off
with
her
because
we
knew
it
was
just
a
misunderstanding.
Then
she
said,
“Sorry,
I’m
just
xenophobic.”
Then
my
smile
turned
serious.
I
couldn’t
believe
she
openly
said
that.
It’s
very
discriminatory.
Unfortunately
I
had
another
night
there.
I
did
not
feel
comfortable
there
for
the
remainder
of
my
stay.
We
stayed
longer
out
on
State
Street
and
the
boardwalk
than
enjoying
the
amenities
offered.
It’s
definitely
a
cute
B&B,
but
because
of
that
comment
I
felt
unwelcomed
and
out
of
place,
I
do
not
recommend
it
here.
I
would
never
return
here,
but
definitely
yes
to
the
City
of
Santa
Barbara.
Just
elsewhere.
However
I
was
there
a
year
and
a
half
ago
so
it’s
possible
that
management
has
changed.
If
so,
I’d
consider
returning.
Just
goes
to
show
Customer
Service
outweighs
amenities
and
appeal.
