We had a fantastic meal at VenTiki. The appetizers, entrees, and desserts were all incredible. Our waitress, Lea, was so nice and helpful and the chef even visited our table. Great food in a fun and unique atmosphere. It was a wonderful experience.

Love our hometown tiki bar. No matter what time of day it is or what day of the week you visit, you are always in for a good time at our hometown tiki bar Ventiki. If visiting for the first time, aloha. Highly recommend the Ventiki MaiTai 🤙🏻 The staff and the drinks are all great. Spread some aloha while you are there. The tiki gods will be most pleased.

Serving up Polynesian-inspired cuisine along with an impressive array of modern tiki drinks and traditional cocktails, VenTiki Lounge and Lanai transports you to a true island oasis in Ventura. Owner Scott was inspired by the classic tiki restaurants he grew up with in the area and longed to see a return. He opened VenTiki in 2013 with an emphasis on delightful and imaginative cocktails and modern mixology. Looking for a traditional tropical-island inspired drink? Grab a seat on the outdoor patio lounge or pull up a stool inside at the festive bar and prepare to be transported. . If you’re in the mood for a traditional tiki cocktail, we’d recommend a Mai Tai. Invented by Trader Vic, VentTiki’s Mai Tais are made with lime and rum and without the addition of grenadine or pineapple. Their version of Mai Tai features Rhum Clément Silver Rum, Rhum Clément Gold Rum, and orgeat and will not disappoint. You even get to take home the VenTiki m

I think the high rating is for the drinks, as the service and food is not worth coming here for. Took us more than 30 minutes to get any food. The rolls were meh, and the rice wasn't prepared very well. The musubi was all rice and a tiny piece of spam. The salad was okay, but was served last. The best thing we had was the kettle chips. Nothing was worth the price. Sad.

The good. Absolutely gorgeous. The food and drinks were made quite well. So quality of what you get is wonderful! The bad. Even accounting for the extra effort of a tiki menu, the service is incredibly slow. Beyond that, the service is simply not friendly... The ugly..... Water on request was not available, only for sale. The excuse was the drought in ca -- not sure how buying the water is any less water than providing tap, so, it is an obvious and offensive money grab. I will also say, that for a tiki bar, and their high alcohol menu, to not provide water on request simply borders on irresponsible. 2 stars. To remind myself not to return. Too bad, they have what is a good core -- thankfully not the only tiki bar in town.

10 stars for Atmosphere! A great place to have drinks and have a good time! Crazy drinks with fun surprises if you order the right drink! Be sure to ask and start your passport! A+++

We had a fantastic time here! We came right when they opened and were able to sit at the bar. Elvis took great care of us making amazing drinks! We asked about shirts, and he ran to the shop next door to bring us options, which was way above and beyond! The drinks and food were amazing! Loved the Kalua pork sliders, and the macaroni salad was delicious! My bf got the taco tini and loved those too! For drinks, I got the sugar island howler (loved!) and the $35 mai tai (strong in the best way!) My bf got the Kona Kooler and 3 dots and dash and loved both. Their mugs are beautiful and we each got one! We look forward to coming back. Thank you! Edit: we came back and had another amazing time! The drinks are so good! On par with the best/historic tiki drinks! This time I had a reverb crash and a ventiki mai tai, and my bf had 3 dots and a dash and the fuzz. We both were blown away by how delicious the drinks are! And the food is incredible too. We were able to sit at the bar and had a great time. The staff are amazing at what they do and are so nice and helpful. Thank you! Can’t wait until the next time.

Only tried 2 things here…the spicy tuna roll was delicious! The pork sliders not so much. I’d have to try more items to truly rate the food. Loved the atmosphere and the waitress was very friendly. I didn’t like the dogs however..barking and servers petting them and then bringing me my food, not hygienic. Will definitely try it again tho!

I was looking forward to visiting VenTiki while in Ventura after hearing some great reviews. It's one of three tiki spots on the Central Coast. My partner and I decided to sit at the bar since the patio with tables was occupied. Although there were three employees behind the bar, we sat there without being acknowledged or receiving menus. After fifteen minutes, I borrowed two menus from other patrons across the bar. Eventually we had placed our cocktail order of a Zombie and Singapore Sling, of which they made the wrong one. Nonetheless, both were tasty and had quite the expected boozy kick. The staff and service had little to be desired. The bartender and the barback appeared to either not like working with each other, or the one was 'training' the other unwillingly. It was extremely awkward since we could feel the tension between them and not very busy for a Saturday evening. We sat there another 20 minutes before we requested ordering food from the bartender. We had a Salmon Plate, Coconut Shrimp and California Roll. The first two were a bit uncooked and rare, while the sushi roll tasted as if it were brought from the grocery store and simply plated. After finishing our meal, the waitress cleared one plate and said she would return for the other, yet didn't for quite some time--of which we requested the check. All in all, the space is Tiki fun and festive, drinks on point, food mediocre and service dreadful.

Amazing amazing customer service, they get busy so it may not be super fast but it’s all worth it. The drinks and the food are amazing! I.C.C 73 is my fav drink and the coconut shrimp are amaaazing. The vibe is like no other!

Fabulous lunch here today. The potstickers were awesome and the real winner was the Mai Tai! So delicious. Our waitress, Lea, was a delight and we really enjoyed her. The chef came by to check on us. Our food was so good. We finished with a delicious pineapple upside down cake. Highly recommend.

I really wanted to love this place based on other reviews I read before coming here, but unfortunately it was one of the worst experiences I’ve had at a restaurant/bar in years. I rarely write reviews but I felt inclined to share my experience in the hopes it helps management fix issues going forward. We stood at the hostess stand for over 5 minutes before being acknowledged and then another few minutes before we were sat (there were lots of open tables). We ordered drinks and appetizers. We waited an hour for our food which never came—nobody came to check on us for that entire time to ask if we were good or update us on any kitchen delays if there were any. We finally got the attention of someone and alerted them to how long we were waiting for our food and they said they’d check on it.. they never came back to our table. We ended up having to go inside and tell the staff we wanted to leave and to cancel our food order. We left and not a single staff member apologized. Unfortunately won’t be returning

Fun place for drinks and atmosphere. Took a long time to get drinks but the food was good. They had a fire pit and for certain drinks, they would play a song and get all the customers involved. Fun place.

Great place to forget why and how you got there. The drinks are fantastic with a really dangerous lack of tasting like they are full of all the alcohol that is in them. Great staff and wonderful location make it a great place to get away for a little bit. Sit back relax and enjoy this lovely bit of heaven!!

Great Tiki bar. The drink menu is exquisite and they also have some tequila and vodka drinks so not all rum. For dinner we tried the Kalua Pork sliders and tacos, salmon poke bowl, and the potstickers. All the food was tasty and fresh. We will definitely be back the next time we are in Ventura. They also have a happy Monday through Thursday 4 to 6pm.

As a regular visitor to my favorite tiki bars in Los Angeles I was excited to finally visit VENTIKI! A much LARGER tiki experience than I am used to, and they have food as well! Friendly & open. I am already anticipating my next trip north to try the food & the drinks!

I found this place on accident when I was looking for lunch today. I had the potstickers and a tropical concoction made for my drink. Everything was good , cute patio area and friendly service.

Tiki bar!! Great energy and strong drinks. Good food and a large tropical drink menu. Only complaint is the drinks may be too strong. If you are a lightweight, don’t have more then 1-2 drinks or you’ll be really really feeling it.

I really enjoyed this cute little Tiki bar in Downtown Ventura. We sat outside under their covered patio which was really cute. They have an extensive drink menu ranging from classic Tiki drinks to modern cocktails. I tried one of their modern Tiki drinks called the Voodoo Temptress, which was strong and delicious! They definitely don’t skimp on the alcohol. We ate the Kahlua pork tacos, which were pretty spicy but very good. We also tried a salmon roll which was good and seemed to be a very popular item And the coconut shrimp which were great. We visited during the day, but I’m sure it’s even cuter at night when all of the lights are on. I can’t wait to come back and try a Zombie!

I love this place! They have the best service and a beautiful atmosphere. 😍 🍹I recommend the Sluricane! Just like the Hurricane, but better! 🤪🤩

When the sun is out and a gentle breeze is about, this place can be magic. Great service, vibes, drinks. Tiki voodoo!

We loved it. The vibe is great and so were the drinks. They could probably use one more person on the floor because they were packed. It's also a bit on the small side but if you can get a seat it's worth it.

Awesome experience!..place is not that big but give you awesome service. Ask for a Jet Pilot is a special on the house and the waiters make a big show announcing ..is super cool. Also I recommend get the 35$ Mai Tai and keep the mug…is super cool! Great night!

Love this place. The staff is super friendly and the drinks are delicious. They are strong so make sure not to drink too many. The best part of this place is that it has that hole in the wall/underground tiki bar feel. This is a must try place for any local and especially for someone visiting Ventura.

Food was fine, but I think they only had one server and the place was very busy. We were never offered drink refills even after they had been sitting empty for quite a while and we had to ask for the check, and the whole process of getting the check and leaving was over 20 minutes. I saw the waitress taking orders and doing things for other tables after she took my card. I've never been somewhere where they hold on to your card for so long when someone is trying to leave. It's really the wait after my card was taken that spurred me to leave this review, because I do understand being understaffed or busy, but that just felt like too much after everything else.

Always up for a tiki bar! My go-to is a traditional daiquiri. While that is not on the menu there is something quite similar and comes with the cane syrup in the side so you can make it as simple or sweet as you like. The line can be long but late afternoon for a party of two worked well a few Saturdays ago. We sat outside and enjoyed the views, Ventura sunshine and a lovely cocktail. Looking forward to a return and trying the sliders!

This was my first visit. We were a party of 4. Our server was fantastic. Some recent reviews were 1 atarring for bad service, but our server was quick, attentive and accurate. I only saw a few tables inside that can seat more than two.

Great place for Tiki drinks! They use original recipes from classic Tiki bartenders, and have created their own. Food is great, too. Service is very good, if a bit slow, likely due to the pandemic. But hey, just chill out and enjoy a relaxing drink on the patio.

Ventiki is great for happy hour or a quick bite when not in a rush can get a bit crowded and staff is usually pretty good depending on the day but always worth stopping in

VenTiki is a true Polynesian paradise with an incredible ambiance – fire pits, tables, palms, trees, and tiki statues create a captivating atmosphere. The menu is impressively diverse, offering something for everyone, from vegetarian options to sushi, poke, bowls, tacos, and sliders. The artistry behind the drink-making process is a highlight, with an endless variety of options. For first-timers, the Maitai is a must, and don't miss out on the drink passport for exclusive off-menu delights. If possible, snag a seat at the bar to witness the bartenders work their magic. It's the perfect spot for a memorable happy hour with friends or family, especially those visiting from out of town. VenTiki promises a unique experience they won't soon forget.
